A favorite place for my daughters, my mom and I to spend quality time together. The setting is calm and tranquil with nice tables to sit around and share in quality conversations while making your own jewelry. The staff is very helpful and the beads diverse in price and design. Love love love this place!!!

My go-to bead store on Main Street closed, so I was at a loss to get one of my necklaces repaired. I found Beadahs online, and was initially reluctant to go there because it’s located in super touristy and traffic-packed Downtown Santa Monica where customer service is usually lousy, but I got the best service ever! The store owner was really nice, and fixed my necklace in no time at a low cost, even though it was quite an intricate job that required expert hands. I’ll have no hesitation recommending this store around me. It’s a sure bet.

I love this place. You can make your own necklace, bracelet, etc. Handmade gifts for everyone. Have a party for the kids or girlfriends. Nice place to bond with my daughters. Thanks Beadahs!

I LOVE this spot. Everyone there is helpful, creative, patient, full of great recommendations, and kind. I’ve left numerous pieces that they have fixed for me at a very very reasonable price, like changing out the chain of a necklace, to redoing some of the intricate beadwork on a native american piece. My favorite bead store ever! LOVELOVELOVE

What a great place! The shop is tucked away behind Tender Greens and Burger Lounge, but still fairly easy to find. The shop itself is large with a couple long tables to make your creations. Keep in mind there is a $ 3 fee tacked on for sitting at these tables. The walls are lined strands of beads and there are several tables filled with bead boxes. all of the bead cubbies are marked with a price and a code, which you will have to write down and keep track of. They have a huge selection of beads which makes it really fun. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. Definitely coming back with friends!

Wonderful shop, fair prices, free(2 hrs) parking right around the corner. And Ernie is just the best, most courteous and attentive owner there is, nothing gets by him!

Friendly and supportive staff, no project is too small or too big. I brought a string of pearl with me and the ladies there patiently help me pick out the size and color of the silk string, let me use the table and tools($ 3 table fee per project) and offer helpful tips throughout my pearl knotting experience. End result? Finished this beautiful piece and paid $ 10 within 90min. Will be back for MORE!

First time in store yesterday I came in with a vision for a bracelet for my spouse. I described my vision and the two sweet kind ladies in the store patiently help me create it. I presented to my spouse who absolutely loved it. In making the bracelet I had no dimensions so we glued one clasp on and decided to leave the other to glue later in case it didn’t fit. To my surprise it did fit so I am returning to the store today to share the news with the ladies and personally thank them. I will more than likely come out with the more cool things along with the final clasp glued tight. This is a gem please stop by to visit them.

One of my favorite places to go for unique beads. When you walk in the staff is friendly and always willing to help you find the stuff you need. It has the biggest selections of beads, charms and other crystals, etc. perfect place to even bead there at the table. They provide you with the mat and all the other stuff for making your craft projects. I’m glad I found this store!

This store has a huge selection of beads that I have not seen at other stores in the L.A. area. Prices might be a bit higher for some things than in some other bead stores, but you are paying for great quality and selection. The staff is very kind and helpful. Definitely go if you are looking for chains, charms, seed beads, or a wide selection of different types of glass beads. Overall, it has a very calm, pleasant atmosphere!

I have been at Beadahs several times(perhaps 5 or 6 times) and each time I swear to myself I will never go there again. Because I live on the west side there have been times I’ve been in a pinch for a certain item — tool, crimp bead, etc. — and because of the proximity I have had to go there. Why do I give this a 1 star rating. OK here’s why. They overprice their items way over the prices for the same items at other bead stores(like Silver Sky in the Valley for example or Kings Road near the Beverly Center). For example the Sof-flex beading wire medium weight that is usually about $ 14 — $ 15, I was charged $ 19 for. Another reason is it seems like the people who work there are primarily high school students who do not know neither how to deal with customers nor much about the place they are working. Furthermore each time I went there I was made to feel like I was a criminal of some sort they way that they followed me around hovering in a very overt way. My advice is to bite the bullet and go elsewhere even if it is not convenient.

What a treasure, I was visiting from out of town. Looked up Beadahs on Unilocal. This bead store is nicely merchandised and has lots of selection to choose from and nice staff. I like the zen feeling in the store. I like that I can find items to make into a jewelry. While I was there, they helped me finish a necklace for $ 3, plus cost of bead supplies! Now I have a cool souvenir that I made. They offer a lot of classes that are interesting. I’m definitely going back to visit again when I’m in the area.

Definitely ask for a quote before you have them make any jewelry. Their prices can be vague and remember that each little thing costs money, which can add up. And that’s before adding in the cost for their time to put it together. Mainly I’m giving this place 3 stars because they weren’t very kind and didn’t communicate well with my sister who I sent there while visiting LA today. She was excited to get some necklaces made(I had made one there for her in the past). She was wearing it and explained that it was a gift and came from their shop. The lady at the counter just looked at her blankly and half smiled. But whatever, people are absorbed in themselves sometimes… So she had 2 necklaces made and during the process no one communicated the costs of things. At the end she was surprised by the cost and the lady started going through the itemized list and as she was doing so she started realizing that she had left some things, many things actually, off the list. So she started adding more to the total! Instead of saying, oh actually I’m charging you less than I should have, she just added more on to the total that already seemed too high. Good customer service would have been to give her some sort of discount since that mistake would have never been found had she not asked to see the prices of things. I was disappointed to hear this since I had recommended them. I probably won’t be doing that to any of my visitors in the future. In the past the customer service was really great but it sounds like they have a few people in there now that aren’t great communicators.

Very nice ambiance to get absorbed in the world of beads… Vince is the one who helped me choose the beads and string the beads for gifts. Would like to see more semi-precious stones to choose from rather than all plastic beads.

Diamond in the rough So glad I found this place, hidden in a Santa Monica strip mall type alcove, and it is so homey. One of those places you could spend all day in. They were very helpful and patience w/me(I got a little excited and couldn’t decide on anything). So many options and they also have classes there, which I will be trying then updating my review. I WILLBEBACK! And it’s so much nicer to give your money to a mom and pop rather than a huge corp. craft store.

This is a wonderfully run bead shop with some of the nicest people working there. If you are like me, you often end up with jewelry pieces with broken clasps, too long chains, or a missing bead. I have utilized their talents twice now to repair and alter my existing jewelry, each time they have been creative, quick, and reasonably priced, no matter if it was a sentimental piece of fashion bling or sterling silver.

Stumbled upon this somewhat hidden bead store after a lunch at Tender Greens over the weekend. The store is right behind the restaurant in a little courtyard with a few other shops and what I think is a yoga studio. It’s very large and has tables and tables of beads, but for some reason I didn’t find a lot that I fell in love with. The prices are higher than Moxie Beads for the same items and fixings, although they do have a better and larger selection of chains, silk wraps, and cords. A lot of the beads here are on the more ethnic and whimsical side, with less of the higher quality druzy, chalcedony, or more delicate options. Definitely worth checking out however, will be back for some specific fixings that Moxie does not carry.

This hidden gem(pun intended) is in the heart of Santa Monica. Its away from the intense touristy traffic but easily accessible near the 3rd St Promenade. Ermie was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I had a large rush order I needed placed and had so many limitations due to a budget. She was efficient and truly exceeded my expectations when it came to customer service. There are not many bead shops on the west side(even went downtown) and nothing came close to Beadahs service, prices and selection. It was very refreshing having a «mom and pop shop» feel with a mom and pop attitude. Thank you! Please doing business with you guys!
