Lots to choice from but there chocolate ice cream wasn’t very chocolatey. Also shop is very small so don’t go with a larger group of people.

Lots of delicious flavors of ice cream& Popsicles! They also have chocobananas & other awesome frozen treats. It’s a Mexican style paleteria. Yum! Great stop for the kiddos!

Great ice cream but some of them are a little chalky. This is the kind of place you have to be a little pushy because there is no real line so if your polite on a busy day you won’t get helped.

If you want real freshly made ice cream with rich flavor, this is the place to go. Everything is made with real fruits. There’s a lot of flavors to choose from and it’s very cheap. Heads up! There’s a 50 cent charge if you use a card under $ 7

A huge selection of flavors and so cheap! $ 8 for ice cream for 5 people-wow! It’s in the same building as La Pocasita, which has super good Mexican food, so you can get dinner and dessert with one stop.

Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into when you try the Diablito.

Cheap, good, and creamy! That would be the ice cream! Also had the Diablito(which I thought was made exactly like a mangonada.) except they had another menu item that was listed as a mangonada. If you don’t know what that is, it’s pretty much ice, mangoes, chamoy, chilli powder and lime. If that’s the type of mangonada you’re looking for, order the Diablito! Again, it’s cheap and good, so I can’t complain!

AMAZING. On a hot day(Or whenever you feel like it) in Santa Maria, all you need is a Paleta or Agua Fresca from here and you are SET. Popsicle/Paleta flavors range from creamy strawberry to Pico de Gallo conjured from fruits, spices & limon. No wonder I have difficulty choosing a flavor whenever I make a visit. Employees behind the counter get you even if you don’t speak spanish. Muchas gracias! CASHONLY! don’t ya dare whip out your plastics cause they will rightly put you in your place if you do. GOGOGO now.

One of my favorite places in Santa Maria. They have a large selection of milk or water based paletas that are all amazing. For the record, I’ve had the arroz con leche, nuez(nuts), but my favorite is the Nance cream(crema) paleta. I grew up in Panama and nance is a favorite fruit. Everytime I eat one, I’m transported back to a tropical Panamanian day. And they are only $ 1.50. Cheap! They have a large manu with all kinds of stuff, including milkshakes, nieves(ice cream) and lots of other stuff. The clientele is mostly Spanish speaking,(90%) but the staff speaks English if needed. Not sure why there isn’t a greater Anglo customer base as this place is the bomb, but Ok for me as I don’t want it to get crowded. Small place but they have a couple of tables inside. It’s located in a strip mall with an antique shop, a head shop, a laundry, and other assorted businesses.

Piñon ice cream! What! Increíble! I walked from my hotel about a half mile away to have dinner next door at La Picosita(another gem). Since I had a smallish dinner I was thinking dessert. I looked over and caught the word paletas and that sounded like a nice treat. I strolled in and immediately saw that there was ice cream. When I got closer I saw they had some unique flavors… and then I spotted the piñon. Great stuff. This place definitely falls in to the 1 dollar sign 5 star category.

This place is probably the best place to get ice cream in Santa Maria. Fresh ingredients, made right in that store. They have unique flavors too. The strawberry & cheese is one of my favorites. There’s a large variety of ice cream & fruit bars. Practically too many to choose from
