This place is garbage. I should have went to panda express. I took one bite of everything and spit all of it out

Large portions, Small prices! I been coming here for nearly 5 years and i honestly believe that this is my go to for Chinese food in Santa Maria despite the location and its outside appearance… remember not to judge a book by its cover! Friendly staff, quick service, everyone wins.

This place have a very cheap price for the food that they serve. Every plate comes with chow mein and fried rice and also they dish that you choose. The chow mein taste ok. Also the rice taste ok. But the dish that i ordered lemon chicken tasted superb! My hubby got the shrimp kung pao was yummy! I also ordered fried cream cheese wonton. It tasted yummy! Crispy and creamy at the same time. Give it a try!

Long time customer, just placed an order earlier today and it’s been close to an hour and a half waiting time for delivery, and still not delivered, someone called to let us know it would be another hour, heard someone from the office say just cancel and she changed it to 20min, we said fine, but after talking it over with Co workers we called right back to cancel, we were concerned 20 min would be 40min or longer. When we cancelled, she was upset and blacklisted us, said they would no longer deliver to our office, instead of being apologetic for the delay or offer something to compensate the delay. Terrible customer service. Will never buy anything from China wok again. Hope others don’t either.

This is my second favorite Chinese food restaurant, the prices are reasonable and good food. Cashew chicken, chow mein, egg roll, cream cheese wontons, kung pao chicken, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, shrimp chow mein, kung pao shrimp, hot oil(if you like spice in your food) and sweet and sour sauce are things I like and recommend and FYI I’m a picky eater

With China Wok you get what you pay for, decent food at a decent price. This isn’t the best Chinese food in Santa Maria but with most of their plates at around $ 5 you can’t go wrong.

I’ve been eating here for most of my life. I remember asking for China Wok on my 10th birthday, it was delicious then and it’s just as good and about the same price as it was 20 years ago. It’s family owned and all the girls in the front are very nice. Think of it as better tasting and somehow less expensive option then panda.

How someone can mess up steamed rice is beyond me, but at least now I won’t be tempted to try this place anymore.

If you want greasy, cheap, fast, Chinese food then this is your place. Nothing impressive about the place and it’s in a real dangerous side if town. There’s been gun numerous gun shots in that intersection. That’s not the restaurant’s fault but just an FYI that the area is super shady. The service sucks, it’s pretty much non-existent actually. This is however, the only Chinese place I know that delivers in town. So if you’re craving Chinese food on a lazy Saturday, you can’t go wrong on having it delivered.

Cold chow mien to go with cold fried rice. The best part of the experience was the staff. They did there best to ignore me and avoid serving customers. The 4 employees maintained an in depth conversation about their sex lives the entire time I dinned. Very interesting to say the least.

So Ive always ate here, always loved the food and price. I decided to eat there for dinner tonight for a to go order and as I was outside waiting for my food, a mouse comes out the back of the building(where the kitchen/back area is) and runs back. I then went to the front, cancelled my order and got a full refund no problem.

I’ve been coming here for years. The wait time is decent and you get a great deal for a meal. The portions are also decent for what you’re spending. The food is also decent. It’s fast food and it’s Chinese-American; that’s basically it. but I definitely would choose this over Panda. They’re a cash only place. I wish they’d finally upgrade with at least square or invest in accepting credit/debit cards; I feel they’d get more business that way. Sometimes I feel like the employees are overworked, though. it’s a popular locally owned shopped, so many people around SM continues to come here or make a lot of phone/take out orders. The owner(im assuming) is always running in and out delivering food while the employees are making sure everyone’s orders are correct while getting the food out asap, so they all work pretty hard. They always seem so busy everytime I come here, even if the inside doesn’t seem to have many people. If you want a quick Chinese-American meal for a decent price, it’s a go to place.

To start off, the food here is 3 stars. Definitely better than panda, but certainly not top quality Chinese food. The reason this place gets 4 stars is the price. You can’t beat $ 4.90 for Mongolian beef with fried rice and chow mein– a generous portion in fact, considering the price. If I’m ever in the area, hungry for chinese with five dollars in my pocket, I won’t hesitate to come back.

Several entrees are kept in steam table trays(for a while) but the stuff made fresh is pretty good. For a meal under $ 5 it rocks. Sweet and sour, kung pao, schezuan are all good choices. Good chow mein though I am not a fan of the generic fried rice. In their defense I have never tried the entrée grade fried rice. The owner delivers and is a very friendly guy. If you want a combo that is not on the menu, they will generally get you what you want. As always, be polite and drop some change in their tip jar when they do. Your drink options are fountain, canned, or a glass bottle coke(yay).

When 3 stars is the best in town, that’s sad. But I can dig the fried shrimp and love the cream cheese wontons dipped in teriyaki sause. They have pretty good food and there prices aren’t bad too. But driving across town for my chopsticks(RIP) fix and it being cash only, I can only push 3 stars.

Great, greasy, cheap, Chinese food! Would have given them 4 starts, but their staff is a little rough around the edges, but they fit in with the neighborhood that its in. They only take cash which sucks, but great food!
