The food is great and they cook it to order. Be patient cause it takes about ten minutes to prep. Mind I came in late afternoon so they were slow and cleaning equipment. Very polite people.

New favorite SMV joint. Best dogs in town. The Italian beef+sausage sandwich + provolone(dipped) is the closest thing to a Philly cheesesteak that I can find for miles for some reason. I hope La Rocco’s never goes away. Had to edit my review to add that I ate this slow like licking a lollipop, but finish strong like a bulldog eating a bowl of oatmeal.

A hidden gem in Santa Maria California. Kind of hard to find. Across from quest diagnostics in a little cabana hut. Amazing sandwich. I’ve never had Chicago beef before but this is amazing. I got the«dipped» sandwich with provolone and hot and sweet peppers. An amazing flavor. They dip the whole thing in au jus! So the bun is nice and soft. Don’t miss this hidden gem! Also have hot dogs(Chicago style) and some other things like sausage and peppers.

This place is a must. I had one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life with the spicy Italian beef dipped in the juice. Everything is quality and the service is top notch. Try it, you’ll love it… I guarantee it!!!

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while after hearing so many people speak highly of it. I heard a commercial for it on the local am station and that persuaded me to give them a visit. Ordered the Italian Beef with the hot peppers. Having tried this many times from other authentic places, I have to say this sandwich was on point and just right. I ordered it «dipped» which I highly recommend as the gravy(juice) really brings out the flavors of all the other ingredients. There were 2 others that ordered before us and the wait time to receive our food was fast but I can see where it might take a little longer if there was a longer line. I would have to agree that the food is worth the wait as I know each order is hand crafted by the cook rather then fast food places that use the assembly line method. They feature an authentic Chicago style dog with Vienna Beef, sport peppers and the neon green relish which I will definitely try on my next visit. On Fridays, they offer a Chili Dog with their house made chili sauce which smelled and looked delicious. I’m so glad I tried them out and will be visiting them more in the future.

Good hot dogs I liked this place better than weinerschnitzel. The only negative is the price. I think it’s a little high for a hot dog, but the quality and taste is awesome. Also the fresh lemonade was the bees knees

Ok I’ve never been back east to try these sandwiches and dogs but I know what I like. Last night I drove by after reading the reviews to check this place out. First impression. This place was clean. The order and food prep area looked spotless. I ordered an Italian beef and a spicy dog. I had the Italian dipped in the gravy and it was superb. Meat was plentiful the veggies were great(I had it hot which means with peppers). Sandwich was moist and flavorful and I wolfed it down. Next I ate the spicy dog. Plenty of good spices and complex flavors that worked really well together. Wolfed it down too. The food here is worth every penny. I’m glad I took the time to find this place. Try it you’ll like it. So this is a new post. I am now what I consider a regular here. The food is amazing. I had the Italian beef yesterday it was the most satisfying lunch I have had in a very long time. Sandwich came out hot, spicy, and juicy. Ask for extra napkins you’ll need it. I also had the Vinnie. Spicy sausage with a perfect casing that pops when you bite into it. They also squeeze their own lemonade. Delicious. Try it you’ll love it.

Had lunch here on Wednesday at about 1:00PM, for lunch. Ordered the Chicago Dog and a Make-Your-Own dog. Both were excellent. If you are looking for a great hot dog, this is your place. Yes. it takes a little while for your food, but it’s well worth it. If you have to get your lunch within 2 minutes, go to Wienerschnitzel. Service was excellent, very friendly, even the chef in the back was friendly… And… That’s. A. Miracle… Thank you for your time.

The food was good but we waited for 30 min to get it, also my sandwich came wet when I wanted it dry. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to wait 15 more min for a dry bun. And yes it really took 30 min with only 2 people in front of us.

Happened to run across this place today and opted to try a sandwich. The sign read Chicago dogs and Italian beef. Two of my favs. I am glad I stopped. I got the Italian beef dipped and hot. By the time I got home everything has soaked in perfectly. As Matt… the owner… said it would. Spices are there, flavor is there quality is there. Plus Matt seems like a cool guy. I love a good dog do I can’t wait to go back soon.

My review pertains to the Italian Beef sandwich only. I’ve been to Al’s Beef in Chicago, so I was really excited to try this out. But what I got here was very dry and bland, I was disappointed. Even the dipping sauce was bland. I ended up making it into a philly at home and added some chipotle sauce then it was good. Perhaps I need to give it another try or perhaps try one of the dogs. I will review again if I do make it back.

Okay, to say that I am a fan of LaRocco’s is an understatement! This place is AWESOME! Although I was born in Anaheim, I spent a big part of my life back east where Hot Dogs and Pizza are King and this place delivers! If you are one of those who think that«a dog is a dog» just stop reading and go home and make a Ball Park Frank. However, if, like me, you can appreciate the finer things in life, read on! Okay, the dogs; Chicago Dog. All natural Vienna Beef Hot Dog boiled AND grilled. Served on a Chicago sesame seed bun with bright relish, mustard, tomato, and pickle spear finished with a dash of celery salt. You would have to go to O’Hare Airport or Wrigley Field to get one as authentic. No lie! The Polish Dog. A spicy, but not too spicy, dog with grilled onions and peppers and some deli mustard or just how you want it. Same thing with the Italian Dog only they use an Italian Sausage. I tease the owner that he should call this one the«North Ender» because it’s exactly how they serve them outside of Major League Baseball Stadiums in Chicago and Boston! OUTSTANDING! Okay, now The Italian Beef Sandwich. Think sliced, slow roasted, ribeye(I think) on the perfect bread. I have mine wet & hot. Dipped in their Amazon at jus and topped with spicy jardinière(spelling?). Again, one would need to go to Al’s on Western in Chicago. Flat out… No BS. This sandwich is off the *#%+* hook! Don’t expect frills and don’t expect your food in two seconds. However DO expect to become a LaRocco’s regular. Next on my list, a LaRocco’s Chili Dog(I think they only serve them on Fridays). Oh, and I wanna try the Mustache Mike’s Italian Ice too. Next time! Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is delicious … Little hidden gem! Good prices and now open until 6pm and they’re taking call-in orders now :) Its a small local business and coming from the East Coast, I miss little places like this… I ordered the Italian Beef– sweet, hot and wet. So good! I will 100% be going back:))

I’ve been coming here for several weeks now and let me say it is better every time! I love how they pile the toppings onto their Vienna beef hotdogs. So good! The Chicago style hotdog is a must try, and I hear it’s exactly as it should be if you are from Chicago! However my absolute favorite is the Italian beef sandwich! Omg. I would kill for it. It’s got amazing perfectly prepared Italian beef, smothered in gravy, with sweet peppers, and hot giardiniera. It’s the best sandwich in town if you ask me! Seriously come check this place out! And the price is more than reasonable. Sure it’s more than a Costco dog but the quality is amazing and you just can’t get this from a big box store. Come support this local business, they deserve your business!

Local Italian Beef and Chicago Style Hot Dogs have come to Santa Maria. Enjoyed the Italian Beef(Wet with Sweet Peppers) on my first visit and it hit close enough on target to come back for more. The Chicago Dog outdoes the Italian Beef, but just barely. It matches the exact look a Chicago Dog must have — Neon Green Relish and Yellow-as-Yellow-can-be Mustard… and the Dog tastes as good as it looks. The somewhat hidden kiosk location and patio seating makes you feel like you’ve found a diamond in the rough that you only know about, but I have a feeling that wont last for long. Really happy to have this place in town.
