Burrito Loco

Complete fail since under new ownership. We moved into the area 8 years ago this has been our local Mexican goto restaurant. No longer. Last time we went a few months ago we noticed something was different but weren’t sure what, it seemed the order took an awful long time to come out. Today it was obvious that things have changed, the food was terrible. The portions were smaller there was no shredded cheese on the Abondigas Soup or on the salad. We ordered chile rellenos as usual and were told they were out, that it would be a long while before they prepared another batch and that we should order something else. We did and we were disappointed, Taco was soggy and the beans were without flavor. Even my soda was flat.
None of the old servers are there, we had our favorites but they’re gone. Understaffed now.
Predict this place is closed in 6 months.

Been coming to burrito loco for years. They really do have the best chips and salsa to me. I enjoy their fajitas and cheese enchiladas. The service is usually a fifty fifth chance of being good. Tonight it was good and the cheese enchiladas were fantastic. It’s affordable and fast. Nice little local place.

Good food at reasonable prices, the best salsa in town!

Don’t bother coming here! An hr for two plates of enchiladas to come out and when it does come out it will be cold. With so many good Mexican restaurants in the area this place won’t last much longer. They had run out of two different things we asked for. They were not busy at all. 4 tables including my table. Just horrible experience. Go at your own risk. You won’t miss much by not going.

Terrible experience today for lunch. The waitresses were on the phone the whole time and the service was terrible. I never got a refill and the food was mediocre. I am not sure what happened to this place but I won’t be coming back.

Never again will we waste our time. This place is NOT the same. We went for an early dinner, to beat dinner rush. After taking our order, we waited 47 mins for our meal. Finally, after waiting 42 mins the waitress came to our table and kept saying it’s not her fault its the kids hamburger we ordered. She said they take a long time to cook. I said «what about refills on our drinks or chips». Then they finally bring my son’s, my daughter’s and my meal. Meanwhile, two other tables got seated and served before us (one table had 5 people). Almost 10 mins later she brings my husbands plate out (which is not a kids hamburger) and again the waitress apologized saying its not her fault and kept making excuses. Then she said «I will comp you chips». I told her «no thank you, we didn’t need them now». We understand things can happen. Someone maybe called in sick… maybe they had a huge party that just left… but to make excuses and not come to our table for 42 mins to refill our drinks, to offer chips to the kids, who patiently waited or just to apologize for the wait. This was the first time they ever finished their coloring page and still had time to kill before the food came. We were very disappointed. We use to go there a lot last year, after sporting events. We will now find a new family favorite because this place is no longer it.

Amazing burritos! Only reason I’m not giving this place a 5 star is because they told me my burrito came with a side of rice and when I got home there was no side of rice just some chips and no salsa.

I hate to say it, but this restaurant has gone way downhill. After having not been there for a while my family and I went last night… what a horrible experience.
First, although the waitress was nice, all the help was not overly attentive. Second, the food was mediocre at best. Usually a standby, the carne asada, turned out kind of tasteless and not very good at all. In fact, my kids who got the carne asada tortas ended up not feeling well.
Lastly, an interesting and what I would call a huge mistake, there was a menu change where they are going to start charging for chips & salsa! Really?!
The only reason they get one star… the salsa is still one of the best.

Terrible service, dated and dingy environment, flavor beyond bland and the meat did not taste fresh at all. When paying our bill, I was mortified by how filthy the kitchen was! Definitely not going back here again!

Horrible service… Had to ask for refill every time if they include drink with meal they need to keep it filled. Waitress walks by and avoids looking at your table with the fear you may ask for something. Was there for an hour and half and never brought chili rellenos to buffet at all. Hard pancakes and biscuits like hockey pucks.

My husband and friend ate here 10/​18/​2015 for lunch. My husband ordered a steak burrito and my friend did as well. roughly 7 hours later my husband and friend had severe food poisoning to the point where my husband went to the hospital. This was the only food he ate that day. I’m reporting this unclean place to the health board. Avoid it.

Walked in for a take out order. Waitress was very nice, but inexperienced. Took a long time to get my order correct. Then waited 20 minutes for it. I had to let them know that my order was right beside them after 5 minutes of it sitting there.
Food was bland, especially the retried beans… zero flavor. Tacos were just ok. Can’t recommend it, but people working there were nice, just understaffed.

The food was ok… the girl at the register wasn’t so friendly. But I would go back again.

Worst experience ever. My husband and I were there a Sunday morning for the breakfast buffet, first we had to wait for the hostess, she was in front of us for like 10 minutes without looking at us or saying hello. That wasn’t a problem just kind of awkward, then she showed us our table for 2 and grabbed our drinks, she said our waiter will be there soon. We went to get our food, which there was good variety and good flavor but the placement of food was unhygienic. The waiter never came, we never were offered refills or attended. We thought that our waiter could be occupied but we saw him attending other tables and offering drink refills to the table next to us. I don’t know if the staff is stressed or if they are just rude. It was our first and last time in this restaurant

My favorite place for Taco Tuesday. Good food and always good fun with the friendly staff. Great atmosphere. They have the best chips and salsa on the central coast. I love the fajitas and tacos here. You willl have a great experience here like I always do.

Good food, nice staff. This is that ‘hole in the wall’ restaurant that makes really good food. The salsa is amazing, even if you just come in to buy that alone it’s worth it and it’s fresh.
Fun fact: «TacoCat» spelled backwards is «taCocaT».

Good Mexican food. Luncheon & nightly specials. The staff is friendly and the kitchen is quick. The salsa is medium hot and the chips fresh. Today I need a light lunch so I ordered off the extensive Ala carte. Menu. The crispy tacos were tasty and my side of guacamole was fresh and chunky with tomatoes. 1 ½ YUM’S UP.

KWe first walked in and had a rude greeter, than when i ordered a margarita i found a bug in it, my water had stuff floating at the bottom of my cup! It wasn’t looking to good but decided to give it a try anyways. The food came out and looked delicious and it was, had another server very polite and nice and the second margarita they replaced was super good! Nd gave me a buzz!
