Horrible customer service. All I can say is drive up to Albuquerque and shop at any other location. All the employees are rude and just nasty. It’s a bummer because we could really use a store like this in Santa Fe. Unfortunately I don’t see it staying open for long.

I’ve been here at least a half dozen times and each time I wonder if I’m invisible. The products are great, I always find what I want, but the service is horrible. No one looks up, the one time someone asked if I needed help it felt as though she’d rather jump out of an airplane. And no, I’m not scary or disgusting or off-putting. I’ll do my business online rather than go in again.

Better off driving an hour to Albuquerque to get to Sephora. The staff at this ulta is especially bad. It’s impossible to get someone’s help and attention. Also not to mention, in the past one staff member was especially pushy towards me, and frankly rude. The only reason this place gets any business is because Santa Fe doesn’t have anything better! I was astonished when I visited another ulta today and how nice and attentive the staff was. Never a good experience at this ulta. Also have a low selection of products and often run out of the popular products. When you get the staff to help you, they aren’t knowledge at all. Don’t know where things are, and just don’t know enough about the products! Then, the line is 20 minutes long. Never going back unless I’m in a pinch. is where it’s at.

What a pleasant surprise finding out there’s an Ulta in Santa Fe. I shopped here on Black Friday and was happy to see they still had some of the deals they advertised for Thursday evening. I did end up finding one of the deals I was looking for. Checkout was a breeze and I’ll know to stop by when I’m in Santa Fe again.

I decided to try out Ulta’s Salon because I was badly in need of a haircut and have spent a lot of money at many other salons in Santa Fe with mixed results. I received one of the best haircuts of my life! My stylist Lili has an adorable personality on top of being professional and excellent at what she does. She listened to me, asked a few questions, and then gave me the exact cut I asked for — all at an affordable price. I was very impressed and am so relieved because I have found my stylist!

This is thw worst store in Santa Fe for customer service. Technically there is none especially if you are an older woman. I only go in to check out a product. Then I buy on line and not thru Ulta. Bad customer in store probably means bad. customer service thru out the company.

When this business first came to Santa Fe I was so excited. I’ve had good experiences at Ulta’s in Oklahoma, and Colorado. Unfortunately, this one always falls short. Bad or poor service, unstocked and unpriced items/empty displays, and dirty testers(many of which are missing products). I did inform the store and the corporate office regarding my experiences… they did reply but, there was no improvements made. After my last visit, I decided to not return. My biggest gripe is the condition of the testers. They are not maintained, or cleaned by the employees. The patrons steal parts of them, and the rest are alloud to get gunked up. I took a photos to show what the store displays look like, pretty gross. Amazingly, Corporate was not interested in seeing these photos.

I have been using Ulta Salon for a year now. Charlotte was my stylist. She was always professional and did an excellent job coloring, cutting, and styling my long hair. She kept excellent records so that I didn’t have to recall which shade we used the last time. My hair always fell exactly into place attractively when she would cut it. Then, Charlotte abruptly left. She did not inform me, and I had difficulty securing a follow-up appointment in upcoming days. When I did, the stylist told me that apparently, more than one stylist left Ulta Salon at the same time. She warned me that it would be difficult to get an appointment from now on. She wasn’t kidding. I needed to make appointments for my daughters(who Charlotte always took care of), so when I called today, no one answered my call after 15 rings. I gave up and dialed again, this time pressing a different number for customer service. Someone answered and transferred me back to the salon, telling me that there was«only one stylist over there». I asked, what if she doesn’t pick up the call again? She said, «I’ll ask her over the store’s paging system to pick up.» This time, I didn’t give up and let the phone ring. After two minutes of ringing, someone disconnected my call. Things used to be much better. I haven’t seen the manager around that I used to see all year. I also haven’t seen a couple of other long-term employees. Something seems to have gone wrong recently, as now there is little to no salon service and very poor customer service. However, I absolutely love the products Ulta sells. I still go there regularly to buy Mally and BareMinerals cosmetics, as well as Paul Mitchell hair care and Philosophy shower and bath products. I really love their selection, and my experience with this aspect of the store is fine as long as I do my own research if I have a specific question about a product. There used to be a gal who could do your brows with Anastasia for free and do a fantastic job, but she doesn’t seem to be around anymore, either. So, four stars for the merchandise but one star for the salon, and the salon is really important to me, hence the one star review. I can always get the merch from Amazon or , but I can’t get a stylist on the phone.

I love makeup and all aspects of beauty but what isn’t beautiful is the customer service at this Ulta location. In terms of the employee’s very few know where products are, what they are used for and can’t be counted on for an opinion. I was in less than an hour ago and each time it seems to get worse and worse, no greeting, no thank you for shopping with us and an overall lack of interest in providing a quality experience. I spend a good amount of money at Ulta as one of the platinum members and definitely don’t appreciate being looked at like I’m going to steal products. All and all I rather drive further away to get my beauty products because I just don’t feel comfortable.

First of all, I love that we actually have a nice beauty store in Santa Fe. I love quality make up products and have no problem spending my money on them. However, the service at Ulta is horrid. The customer service is terrible. Once, the manager who rang me up forgot to put a couple of my products in the bag, which I didn’t notice until I got to the car. When I went back inside she acted super irritated at me and basically let me know she didn’t believe me. I guess she thought I was trying to score free products. Turns out, she dropped them on the floor behind the counter and didn’t notice. No apologies. Just rudely handed them to me without making eye contact and went about helping the next person. The service there is the reason I buy most of my products online. The staff needs major training in customer service.

I was so happy when Ulta came to Santa Fe, at last. The store is new, fresh, clean, and well organized. So, why the 2-star review? I had very good results with highlights at Ulta Salons in Phoenix and Sandy, UT. So I decided to give the new Santa Fe Ulta salon a try. I’ve been getting my hair«frosted»(old terminology) and highlighted for many years. My visit to this salon resulted in the worst highlights I’ve ever received. I asked for a platinum color and gave very precise directions to the young stylist about how my hair requires 2 separate applications of color to achieve the right results. When the time came to wash the first color out and apply the second round, the stylist was busy with another customer so she asked another stylist to finish the color. They debated what color to apply for the second application. The results were a mousy-ashy brown color, far far from the platinum I had specified. AND the charge was very high, considering my very short hair that didn’t even require color at the back neck. Thank goodness they were running a 25% off sale on color services or I would’ve blown my stack. I will not return to Ulta Santa Fe for hair services again. I got much better results at the Aveda beauty school in Albuquerque for much less than half the price.

I’m giving Ulta 5 stars just because it’s now in Santa Fe! Yes finally a beauty store in this town. I know the shelves were still bare when they opened but I’m so glad they’re here. Ulta has a variety of beauty products and they range from drugstore brands to higher end brands. They sell make-up, perfume, hair products, hair tools, etc. They also have a hair salon within the store. Yay!
