Torino’s @ Home

A must try in SF and we rarely break from the local fare but torinos is worth it!
No doubt some of the best Italian food this side of the Atlantic and service with a real Italian accent. The owners are from Italy and know what great food is about. A great take out place with small seating in a mall for casual quick bites. Great food to take back to your Santa Fe room for a Romantic winter picnic or if the weather is nice dine al fresco. Locals get take out for entertaining. Sorry we found it on our last day in town.
Have a quick lunch at the casual table and get some to go for dinner!

Inside the Santa Fe Village Mall is a real gem — an Italian delicatessen and restaurant where you order at the counter and take it away to sit at a handful of tables in the mall hallway near a vintage boot dealer or inside their delicatessen space (filled with imported Italian treats). They are open from 8 am — 4 pm for breakfast and lunch and their prices are outrageously reasonable. We went for lunch and had delicious panini sandwiches, a great pasta e fagioli soup, a dynamite beef stew with gnocchi and a wonderful Piadina: grilled Toulouse sausages served with mustard, tomatoes, caramelized onions and provolone cheese melted on top… YUM!
But what really puts Torino’s @ Home over the top is the amazing staff. Family owned and operated by REAL Europeans (she’s Italian, he’s French), the owners are funny, charming, and honest about their food. They’ll cheerfully help you with any ingredient issues, like allergies, etc. They are also eco-​conscious, with biodegradible corn utensil and dishes and they deliver by bike! It’s such a positive, upbeat experience, I can’t. wait to go again and try the rest of the menu. Seriously.
