The one thing I missed from living in NYC was quality mixologists. And I’d been to Secretos, but that only ‘rates’ if you don’t know any better… Santa Fe Spirits in the real deal & has removed all remorse. Remarkable quality complex delicious cocktails– and in an intimate environment with cool bartenders & plenty of southwestern charm all around. Dig the whole menu~ a definite ‘best of Santa Fe’.

My Mom and I had such a wonderful time here. We have problems finding good happy hours when we visit Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Spirits knocked it out of the park for us! I loved that every spirit they had was their own. The atmosphere was awesome, the service was great too. The bartenders are knowledgeable and we each had 3 drinks that were so good, we couldn’t pick a favorite between the two of us. Look forward to returning during our next Santa Fe stay!

I had the tastiest blended whiskey drink here, and I don’t like whiskey or even drink that much. Definitely recommend. The room’s a little on the small side but it wasn’t too crowded. Full of hip Santa Feans.

Fun and delicious! Can be tricky to get a seat but just ask for the open ones and enjoy being close to who knows who might come in. It’ll be a good time. Drinks are lovely — and well priced! Get the specials!

We really enjoyed the quiet, warm atmosphere. Dark wood, big comfy chairs– a really nice setting for having a quality cocktail and chatting. Our server was very friendly. We really enjoyed how the menu was laid out, by liquor.

Absolutely the best place in Santa Fe to get a cocktail. They close early so watch the time.

My friend and I stopped in for a quick drink on a Saturday before 5pm. The bar is cozy and intimate. I had a beautiful drink called a Toyko Rose made with rose vodka and flower petals. My friend had a Jackie Brown, which was made with smoky whiskey & a sugar ice cube. We had a really nice time. The service was great. This place was packed when we left. It’s fun to have a cool new local craft cocktail joint near the plaza.

Cozy and atmospheric bar with insanely well-crafted mixed drinks. Went there looking for a margarita, which they don’t serve, but wound up with a whiskey sour to die for.

Probably the coolest bar I’ve ever walked into! Super great atmosphere, a wonderfully knowledgable staff and incredible spirits!!! Their signature drinks are phenomenal and I have yet to drink a better Gin in my life! Super inedible impressed and will make this my hangout whenever I’m in Sante Fe! Come by and have a drink, you can thank me later ;-)

I never know what to drink after work. Today at Santa Fe Spirits(I call it simply spirits), I asked Nick to make anything he wanted to make. The cocktail that appeared was delightful and better than anything I could find at any Manhattan mixology bar. This is the perfect place to chill after a long day at work. A-mah-zing.

I really hate to give Santa Fe Spirits 1 star… I used to love that place. USED to love it. I frequented the tasting room regularly with friends and would always send out if town guests there. The cocktails were delicious, unique and creative. The original bar manager(I forget her name) was so sweet and always willing to give us little tastes of her concoctions. The reason why I don’t think that I will be going back is that last week when I went in the majority of the cocktails were different than they used to have.(If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!) Some of the drinks seem to be «interpretations» of the delicious ones the original bar manager created. All of the assortments of sugars from the rims were removed… Although my friends and I were very disappointed that the menu was completely different, we decided to try the new creations… Unfortunately none of us enjoyed our drinks at all. They were flat and seemingly trying too hard. Why would you put Rosemary, sage AND thyme in a gin cocktail? The other drinks were either incredibly sweet or just overly complicated where all of the flavor is lost. When we talked to the new manager about the changes he was incredibly rude and unwilling to discuss the reasons why he took off all of our favorite cocktails. I am sad that this place has gone downhill.

This was my fourth visit but I don’t think I’ll be returning I love the Gin and although I love the Queen Bee, to my dismay it’s no longer on the menu. why mess with a good thing?! The Rosemary doesn’t do anything for the re-invented drink. On my last visit, I brought a friend and since we were told the appetizer we wanted was not available so we opted for the cheese plate. It was pretty skimpy but we hadn’t eaten dinner so were hungry. The bread was so hard we asked for crackers. The plate was really uninspiring and not worth the money. On this visit made sure to stay way from the appetizer menu. I did notice the bar and some tables had small bowls of bar mix appetizers. We weren’t offered any. Lastly, the martini glass our drinks came in were barely ¾ full. I have never been served a martini that wasn’t filled to the top of the glass. I was left feeling like I was shorted. especially after paying $ 12 for the drink.

Hands down, one of the best bars we’ve ever experienced. We happened upon it by chance, as we were staying at Hotel Santa Fe and ventured out to find a happy hour(*hint, it’s mere steps from this hotel). We loved it so much, we went all three days of our Santa Fe stay. Nick is amazing. He is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I think it’s a local hangout, but as tourists, he treated us as friends. His cocktails, though, WOW … blended from alcohol made at their amazing local distillery, were amazing bursts of flavor perfection. Seriously. I love my booze, and I am forever grateful for those who can craft cocktails with several interesting ingredients. We sampled several of Nick’s concoctions and each was as amazing as the one before. There is a lovely outdoor patio, which we used our first night there. The interior, though, is just as welcoming. I cannot say enough about how well we were treated, and how amazing the cocktails are, though. It helped make our mini-vacay especially fabulous!

For stumbling across this at random, I think this is an absolute gem. My love and I were staying downtown near this place actually, walking back to our hotel from dinner and decided to stop in. Turns out it’s the best damn spirits bar I think I’ve ever been to. The space is small, cozy, and so inviting. You could be here with your favorite person in the world or with a group of peeps, and you’d be just as welcome and just as comfortable. My fiancée and I hung at the bar and chatted away with our bartenders for the evening, both were awesome and super knowledgeable about all of their products. I feel like I learned so much! I got a moscow mule, and my love got an old fashioned. You bet your bottoms these cocktails were tasty. The mule was great and gingery enough for my liking. The Old Fashioned, on the other hand, blew me away. In my opinion, it was the best I think I’ve had. The whisky they have is AMAZING. And full disclosure: I am not a whisky drinker by any means– I only have it in cocktails IF it interests me. I even had a taste of the whisky on its own and yes, I’d still call it amazing. This place is totally my jam. I wish I could be a regular here.

My partner and I recently checked out this spot because we had a groupon. It was definitely worth visiting. I am not usually able to drink Gin but their Gin is so amazing, with wonderful herbal notes, that I was able to do the tasting which included it. All five of the offerings were very very good. We ended up buying a sampler pack for ourselves and one for my parents. We also each had one cocktail and I have to say — WOW! They have some very unique a delicious cocktails and I look forward to visiting again so I can try more of them. In addition, the service is outstanding! The bartender gave us the low down on the company, the spirits, where they are grown, etc. The marketing person was also there and was kind enough to tell us where we can buy their product in our area. After that, the owner walked in and he too was kind enough to sit with us a minute, chat and fill us in on how he came to Santa Fe and started this company. Highly recommend this place, even if you are not a big drinker, just to try what they have. The sampler is a deal and you will be able to get a feel for what they are trying to accomplish at this distillery.

We were in for a concert, and decided to start the evening with a cocktail at Santa Fe spirits. These are sturdy and delicious spirits and drinks. I had the smoky Manhattan and my boyfriend had the Martinez. Both were memorable and mixed properly. Ambiance is intimate and has the feel of a study, sans the walls of bookshelves. Proper attire could consist of a Hugh Heffner smoking jacket and loafers. Though no one would judge you in a t shirt and jeans. Santa Fe is kind of expensive, and for 8 – 9 dollars these artisinal cocktails may be some of the value in town. Thanks Clayton for the recommendation we really enjoyed it.

I’m an unabashed beer drinker and that’s little surprise to most, so I’ll qualify this whole review with that comment right out of the gate. But I still feel I can not only enjoy, but from a very amateur perspective, appraise a good liquor when presented with one. Partially, I attribute this to my affinity for craft beer and how I’ve learned to analyze a brew and consider every aspect of it, and partially I just think I’ve had enough booze in my lifetime to know when I’ve found a gem. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I’ll go ahead and say this spot is dope, albeit small and inconspicuous. I’d forgive folks for mistaking the exterior for a dental or law office. Actually, it could be though, as I could see many a lawyer and dentist hitched up at the bar drowning away their sorrows. But they’d be doing it in the most tasteful of ways. SF Spirits has some serious liquids for us consumers. Whiskeys, brandies, gins and vodkas. Trouble. But these aren’t the blackout drunk type of liquids. These are artisan. Like the craft beer I love, these spirits are made with TLC and the idea that booze isn’t just for getting shatfaced and shooting prurrie dogs, but rather something to contemplate as you stroke your well-oiled mustache and read Dostoyevsky. You know that made me sound like I’m full of shit, right? I know it and it’s ridiculous but it’s also true. You try the whiskey here and you’ll recognize the complexity and the uniqueness. Ditto the gin. As a beer drinker, both of these firewaters had me thinking I might just become a two-sport athlete if you know what I’m saying. And there mixed drinks are no slouches either. Try their take on the Dark and Stormy but with apple brandy. Or the simple gin and tonic. Or shoot for the stars and ask for the barrel-aged Martinez. That last one is for those with personal chauffeurs or those getting over a relationship or a death. Serious shet. Anywho, I endorse the shet out of this place. The booze is top notch, the staff is cool and informative, and the space is cool(particularly the couches). It could be bigger and could use some good tunes, but hey, you know after a few drinks you could easily be grinding on a stool to the Lorde song that’s stuck in your head completely unaware that the bar has no music. The power of liquor, mane.
