Wonderful and helpful owner, Steve helped us with our purchases and sightseeing plans. They carry great American made items that are designed to last and look good.

We really appreciate the spot-​on selection and how engaging and knowledgable Steve is. Not a huge selection, and the prices are not entirely humble, but what is there seems like it was custom-​picked for my husband. We’re planning to buy one quality item there for every 2 or 3 items we could get for less elsewhere but that are not as quality or as perfect for him. Fun visit whether you buy something or not. Find it and stop in.

Walked by the shop when it was closed, but went back the next day and had an enjoyable conversation with Steve, who is a knowledgable and personable proprietor. Modest selection but obviously carefully chosen clothes, bags and accessories. Steve knew right off what my husband’s size was and certainly the style was right on. We are taking home a shirt by «Grayer’s» a company we were not familiar with, and an outstanding Filson Seattle fit Cruiser jacket! Super store for men who love the outdoors!

Steven is a merchant to his fingertips. He is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his superbly curated collection. Great American brands presented in a casual layout. Great service. Stop in and be impressed.

In addition to having superior, high-​quality menswear, Steven is a kind and helpful owner who went out of the way to give us some awesome suggestions for our New Mexico trip. He knows his stuff and it shows in the curation of the store’s goods. I can’t recommend this store enough, with service, selection and quality on par with stores like Tanner and Self Edge here in LA. What a fantastic little mens shop in Santa Fe, NM! Steve the owner is an incredibly gracious, helpful, energetic and friendly guy. The store has a small but very well edited collection of mid-​priced mens goods. Great clothes, bags and accessories, as well as some cool books and grooming products. Steve is really knowledgable about each line he carries and I loved hearing the story about each item in the store. Prices are not h&m low, but the fabrics, fit and uniqueness of each piece is well worth it. This is stuff mostly made in the USA and not something you’ll find elsewhere. Santa Fe had a serious lacking of nice mens stores so please stop by and support a great local business selling great stuff for guys.

You’d think I could find a great shop like Steve’s in Silverlake, CA but even if I could, I honestly I don’t think I could find one better. Great care has gone into what Red River Mercantile stocks, from great heritage brands to the not so heritage contemporary brands that are making the effort to grow their brand into better thought out designs and higher quality materials. I loved that whatever I was drawn to was Made in The USA and that Steven knew all his stock intimately. I also loved that the store wasn’t trying to cater to just the young trendy hipster guy type or even the snobby older guy type, but a not so old mature guy that knows what they like, no hard sell here, just a bit of wisdom and shared experience of what quality classic clothing can be. A great store with high quality men’s wear. Filson, Kuhl, etc. I didn’t see a low-​quality piece in the store, plus the owner is a really nice guy. Every time I come to Santa Fe (Iive about 45 minutes away) I will definitely be stopping in here. It might be pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Steve was very helpful as I browsed his recently opened shop. Already settled in with regulars he knew by name. Jenas, shirts, jackets, bags and more, I wandered and settled on a sale rack. No all South West, I found a hip shirt with snap buttons. The gang agreed I had to have it. Others picked through the cool, retro t-​shirts and we all went home with something. A good outing had by all.
Next time I’m in Santa Fe, I’ll be sure to pop in and take a look around.
