So first off, can’t beat the hospitality. Everyone is ridiculously nice and welcoming. Add fantastic old school country(Johnny, Willie, etc.) and an amazing atmosphere, and you have a great restaurant. We came for a happy hour, and our drinks were perfect. One of the best old fashioned so have ever had and my wife loved her cosmo(she is a bit of a Cosmo snob so that was a win). We had the pickled plate followed by the brisket with lentils. All of it, just tasty and delicious. Followed with the chocolate pot. The table got quiet and we fought for the last bit. Service, food and ambiance was phenomenal. I work give 6 stars if it was possible.

My dad and I tried dinner tonight. Great service and worth indulging in price because of the trustable quality of sources. My roasted root dish was so flavorful I had to double check that it was vegetarian. My dad and I enjoyed our wine and he was adventurous and had the soup of the moment and I couldn’t tell if it was too culinarily experimental for him but he finished it. It had apples in it which seemed odd but was probably surprisingly delicious. The servers were helpful and it was overall a pleasant experience

This restaurant has been a favorite of ours since its opening in June 2015. Exquisitely crafted cocktails and farm fresh food. Always a fun and yummy experience. My wife loves bourbon now because of their cocktails!

Yikes. OK apps. Terrible entrees. You guys just went from 4 stars to 1 star it was so crappy last night. I won’t be coming back. The veggie Ragu was easily the WORSTVEGETARIANDISH I HAVEEVERHADINMYENTIRELIFE. This was my 5th visit and it has only gotten worse and worse and worse.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe and that is saying a lot! I usually just eat the small plate, charcuterie plate(is to die for), brussel sprouts, scallop ceviche to name a few. The pork chop is one of the best meals I have ever had. The staff is frinedly, well informed and professional. And the cocktails are out of this world.

So, this kind of pains me, because Radish and Rye is the kind of place I really wanted to like. I love bourbon. I love small plates. The stars should have aligned. And yet. At this price point, there are some flaws that really need to be worked out. The atmosphere is lovely. Cozy, quiet, with mellow neutral walls and reasonable sound volume — you can carry on a conversation. The service was good, at first. Our waitress(nice blonde lady) was spot on, friendly and attentive, with a great sense of humor. She’s a keeper. But bus people, don’t ask three times in the space of five minutes if you can take the plate, when it’s obvious I’m still working on it. I mean, I’ve got a fork hovering mid bite. The wine list is great, in the sense of variety and extensive half bottles. But it should have at least a few bottle options under $ 65. If top restaurants in San Francisco like Benu can do it, it shouldn’t be beneath an aspiring high end joint in Santa Fe. Likewise, the cocktails at $ 13 are fine, but at that price point they must be perfect, and these are not. My winter Manhattan was warm, as if they mixed it in the glass and then put the snowball ice cube in. Don’t get me wrong, it looked cool, but it should have been icy cold by the time it was in front of me. As for the food, there were some clear hits and some really disappointing misses. The brussel sprouts were excellent — the table cleared them. The fried green tomatoes were pretty good, with crisp shells and a soft rich pimento to accompany, although they were underseasoned. The baby back ribs were awesome, but we were a table of 5 and you brought us 4. Odd choice. The steak tartare was just ok, sliced in a very consumable tiny dice but again lacking much of anything in the way of salt or other seasoning, in spite of the claim that there was chili oil involved. A dab of mustard on the plate would have gone a long way. The chantarelle risotto was excellent. I could have had three plates of it, creamy with rice that had just the right amount of toothsomeness. But the lamb rib(properly cooked to medium rare) and the pork chop had huge pieces of fat that simply were not edible. The accompaniments to both(roasted fingerlings and polenta, respectively) were more engaging than the proteins. Again, at this price point, I expect more from the kitchen. The desserts were also a mixed bag — the pecan pie, in miniature, was lovely and rich and exactly what pecan pie should be. But the oversized slice of apple cake looked like it belonged at the Cheesecake Factory, and tasted that way too — flat, overly sweet, totally uninteresting. At this point, I would say that if you stick to the small plates and a glass of wine, it may be worth it. But it wouldn’t be my choice for a fancy night out in Santa Fe.

I had heard a lot of positive comments about this place so I asked a friend to join me. We were celebrating and decided to sit at the bar. The wait staff and bartender were very attentive and helpful. we ordered drinks which were a lot of fun and very tasty! here’s where I felt they fell short. we decided to share some small plates and started off with a pork soup in a very dark briny broth. The taste was good but it was very salty. but our drinks kind of evened things out. I was very excited to see they had oysters on the menu and we ordered a half dozen. I’ve never seen such small and uninspiring shell fish anywhere. I would have been embarrassed to bring them out of the kitchen(or whatever bay they were taken out of) One or two were passable in size and the rest were barely visible in their shells. I was in the mood for red meat and the closest thing on the menu was steak tartar. Not only was the portion small but it was so over seasoned that the taste of meat wasn’t present. my friend was annoyed about some kind of banging the bartender was doing at the bar with a mallet. this was intermittent while we sat at the bar. Lastly is the sticker shock of getting the tab… which would’ve been easier to swallow had the food been.

First off, be prepared to spend some $$. This place was recommended by my sister who loves it. A very bourbon based restaurant that easily fills up on any given night. We made reservations and were dining for at least 2 hours, indulging in appetizers such as the Brussels sprouts, cured meat plate, steak tartare(3 were ordered), and of course their array of fancy cocktails. We finished the evening with two of their desserts: a spiced apple cake, and a pecan pie. Being a vegetarian, I really only had two options: the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the risotto as my large plate. Both pretty decent. The chef could not accommodate any other plates, which is why there’s 4 stars. The place itself is trendy without being super pretentious. Portions are small, but that was to be expected. My boyfriend had the duck breast, which was quite small and good. He did love the steak tartare though! Hence the 3 plates ordered. He paired his meals with the Abuelito cocktail, which looked like a science project when served! Overall, we had a great time and the service was impeccable.

Although a little hard to find at night… Definitely a great neighborhood gem. The bar may be the centerpiece with such a wide array of bourbons and very creative cocktails but: do plan on food to accommodate your palates needs. Broad range of all fresh ingredients for the small and large plates; honestly? The small plates are also large enough that to share! Only been there once so far but will have to return to try more! Crude green tomatoes and pimento cheese — fried Brussel sprouts with wild mushrooms — then a special of chicken and waffles(squash flower). All perfection as was the surprising large offerings of half bottles of wines — very good half bottles! The service? Wonderful attention, descriptions, and pace.

Santa Fe had wonderful food. South Western with lots of green and red chili. If you get both its called«Christmas« However, if you are looking for something out of the box in the quaint town, then this is the place! Let’s start with the cocktails, Bourbon. More Bourbon. I think three pages at least of Bourbon. Signature cocktails made with Bourbon. I had the Bacon infused Bourbon with a maple glaze sugar rim. Need I say more? The food– I had the rib eye and my wife had the porkchop. Incredible. Perfectly cooked, and the Bourbon glazed Brussels sprouts were a perfect addition. As well as the bottle of Twomey Merlot(delicious) The staff– Incredibly accommodating, since we had to move twice. Our waitress Laura was unbelievable. We ran her hard and she kept up and kept smiling. Bravo Laura! Don’t miss an opportunity to have a special dinner here or just stop by and grab a drink. You won’t be disappointed.

Few times do I go to the same restaurant twice when on vacation. But Radish & Rue is THAT good. My favorite dish was the mushroom chowder with smoked marrow. Yum! Bourbon cocktails, good wine, and excellent service to boot. I already want to go back a third time!

Deigning to be hipster heaven, this restaurant/bar has taken over the old Ristra’s digs and tastefully re-worked the bar area. Whiskey is the thing here. I enjoyed my whiskey cocktail, though the bartender didn’t know how to make the drink I ordered(I suppose this was due to the newness of the place). If you like wine, you may be somewhat disappointed as the by-the-glass selections are decidedly meh. I enjoyed all of my food but I thought it was a tad pricey and the portion sized unbalanced. However, it is something a little different than the usual ‘upscale New Mexican’ or french fare in Santa Fe so I appreciated the picking, cured meats, quail egg fun that was the menu. Worth a try.

We read about the Radish & Rye restaurant in the Santa Fean magazine and decided to let that one be the«closer» for our anniversary week trip to Santa Fe. We had early reservations(5:45) and arrived to an unlikely location, a one-time home near an industrial district on the West side. After driving up a small driveway, we found there were only five designated parking spaces including one handicapped. Another parking lot is behind, but designated for another business with«tow away» signs everywhere. Luckily, we were able to park in one of the selected spots on their property. Later, we were told it was okay to park behind in the other business. After entering through what must have been the rear door, were shown to our table at the front of the house. During our trek through the dining rooms, at the mid-point I noticed a plexiglass door in the floor and inquired about it. What used to be the basement was now designated for wine and chocolate storage — interesting that you could see through the door. The wait-staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations and ideas about the menu consisting of small and large plates, all suitable for sharing. Since it was early, we were not extremely hungry so we stayed with the small plate offerings: fresh garden greens with sherry vinaigrette dressing — delicious and as fresh as it comes; steak tartare with a quail egg — a small portion nicely complimented with a hint of red chili; grilled cauliflower — perfectly cooked and seasoned with a great smoky flavor from the grilling; and fried green tomatoes — you can pass on these as they were thickly cut, had little or no breading, completely unseasoned, and totally bland(this was one of the plates the waitress recommended). There are many other selections, however, that we would try if we return. For dessert, we split an order of custard with raspberries and an almond cookie — just right to finish off a meal. As a negative, the place was too hot even though it was a cool night, way too hot. The noise level was also high as this was a house and not designed for a full crowd at dinner time. Radish and Rye is a fun place that serves good food, just in small portions. We’d go back sometime.

Santa Fe never ceases to amaze. We’d been recommended to try this place a while back but were here on a Monday(they’re closed). So we thought that today would be the day. Following a venture up to the Santa Fe Ski Area to look at the fall colors — and lots of photos — we sat down to look at the fare. The options were great. Small plates or regular entrees. Lots of ways to dine here. We ended up trying the Field Greens, Pork chop, scallop ceviche, glazed ribs and the sour rye bread plate. We all shared a bit of each. The flavors were well presented. It was nice to know that this was from local farmers. Some of the best food we’ve had in some time. Get over here and try it. We’ll definitely be back for more.

If your are a fan of the delicacy that is ‘small plates’, please, do proceed to R&R with wild abandon! If however you suffer from any of the myriad symptoms of ‘H-anger’, and you crave and desire the oversized portions promised by the majority of eateries in this country, might I suggest you turn away quickly, and consume the emergency food bar in your hand bag while you run to the BBQ joint down the street. Yes, this is an establishment worthy of breaking the budget of any respectable millennial. Forget Sallie Mae, you NEED these bourbon cocktails and delectable fare. Ok, so maybe R&R is not a place to frequent weekly or even monthly, that is unless you fall into the economic strata wherefore your income can support such a luxury, then by all means friend, I say that it is your DUTY to dine and revel in the bourbon haze of heaven that is R&R. And please! DO bring all of your lowly cash-poor friends, you know, the ones who only reserve such occasions for once yearly celebrations. They will pay you back in Kind. What most inspired me on the very occasion of my birthday in October, was the warmth and general friendliness of every person there. They were all so happy that we’d come, and had absolutely zero qualms with the fact that I was wearing thrift store shoes and carried the stench of an upper middle class upbringing in the suburbs with an expensive education and not much to show for it. I was welcomed! I was disarmed at once by the gregarious demeanor and uncomplicated joy of all who visited our table. I ate, I drank wine, I sipped bourbon, I blew a candle. The memory deserves an exalted impression that perhaps only Renoir’s brush could do justice. I had a wonderful birthday in Santa Fe! Thank you Radish & Rye.

What a fantastic and unique restaurant. Everything here is five stars: service, food, drinks, setting, ambiance. Now understand that this is from the perspective of someone who enjoys a fine bourbon(get the Abuelito, you’ll be blown away), likes good bluegrass/folk music(Steeldrivers, Alison Kraus, Johnny Cash on the house playlist), and appreciates a homely touch to fine food. Small plates, yes. But they offer full entrees too. The best way to enjoy this amazing eatery is with several small plates paired with a choice from their half-bottle wine list. I would gladly come back next time I’m in Santa Fe.
