When we were sitting and trying to decide what to get, a local stopped by and said, hey i don’t know if you’re from around here, but you scored. This place is half the price of places downtown, with better food! He was right. I had the Adovado, and it was great. We all loved the sopapillas and we sat by the window so we could watch the sunset. It’s not fancy, but there’s a lot of seating, and the food is totally worth the short drive away from downtown.

Always a great dining experience! Vegetarians, ask Chef Jorge to create something special for you — he is a chef that can definitely think outside of the box and always takes the time to prepare each dish with the care it deserves.

Dropped in here a couple weeks ago just to see what type of restaurant this was, and found out that a long time employee of a famous local restaurant started this one up. That alone brought me back today to give it a try. They have an extensive menu, from local fare to burgers, which has a tag line that says, «Just try it!» I was almost enticed to order one, but my desire for local food was too strong. I ordered the Glorieta plate, which has a cheese enchilada, meat and bean chalupa, pinto beans, Spanish rice, and red chili poured over… and a sopapilla! All in all, The meal wasn’t bad; the red chili didn’t have much of a bite to it, but was tasty. The sopapilla was good, with some honey in the pocket. The waitstaff is pleasant.

This was a great dining experience, starting with the warm staff who services the restaurant. It seems to be family owned and operated, and I believe the owner actually waits tables on occasion to interact with the customers. The breakfast burrito was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had– I had it smothered in green chile with bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. They make the tortillas for their dishes fresh when you order– which makes for a uniquely superior taste to all other tortillas I have ever eaten. The only downside to our experience was that we ordered chips and chile con queso, and I would not recommend this. I believe the chile con queso they brought us was literally the brand you purchase at the store to eat with tortilla chips at home, so I would pass on this option.

Every time I am passing through Santa Fe I stop here and have always been impressed with every aspect of my experience. The ground beef stuffed sopaipilla plate smothered with New Mexico red chile esta perfecto! They give you a free sopaipilla at the end of every meal, so it almost makes up for the fact that beans and rice do not come standard with many plates. I was here yesterday during a very slow time(mid-afternoon) and was one of only a handful of patrons in the restaurant. For the first time in all the years I’ve been frequenting this place, the service left MUCH to be desired for. I think part of the reason for that could have been that dreaded syndrome, «since-we’re-slow-we-don’t-really-pay-attention-no-mo». The staff are friendly enough. But yesterday, I had to flag people down twice to get what I needed. If the food were not so darn good, I don’t know that I’d return after my experience yesterday. Hopefully it was just a fluke. I’m definitely going to give them another try and even though my service yesterday was barely sub-par, I DO recommend you give this place a try!

Such a great restaurant with just as nice of staff. I always get the Cerrillos combo plate and it is wonderful. They also have very good sopapillas.

Perfect stop on our route from Tucson to Denver. Yummy veggie enchiladas with an amazing tomatillo sauce and the roast beef sandwich with green chile was raved about. Affordable kids menu and delicious sopapillas too! Service was very friendly.

I loved the salsa and queso! The sopapillas are a can’t miss. If you have the opportunity to chat with the owner, take it. He is super knowledgable about the native Americans from this region.

This burger was a joke. I ordered a Green Chile Cheese burger. The bun tasted partially stale, the meat had very poor flavor so I can only assume it was frozen of poor quality, the lettuce seemed old and the worst part is… they either use nacho cheese or velveeta as the«cheese» on the burger. The green Chile actually tasted ok but was either frozen or canned most likely. The salad dressing on the salad was of the lowest quality in existence. The service was actually pretty good and the staff very kind which made it hard to write this review but there are two parts to a restaurant, food and service. I can do without the second if the food tastes ok but I can never do with good food.

This is a great local restaurant! I have enjoyed the fajitas, steak salad and green chile stew and all have wonderful flavor and the service and food is always consistently great. While I believe this is the 1st review on Unilocal,Google also has positive reviews to consider.
