Best bar in Santa Fe, New Mexico with the best bartender ever. Kiki makes awesome drinks, and took care of us while we were there. The band was playing Aerosmith, and we thoroughly enjoyed dancing and singing along. A must stop if you get up to Santa Fe, NM.

Oh my gosh. Can I just give a big face slap to anyone who says Santa Fe doesn’t have a fun night life? If you’re looking for clubs and shot girls, you’re right… You won’t find it here… But if you are looking for live music, amazing people, and a REAL night of endless dancing… Then look no further. We came in here with eight girls for a bachelorette. Started downstairs with the DJ, then moved upstairs to the live band. We danced non stop for 4 hours. The bartender was amazing, and put up with our loud, annoying antics. Will always come back here for a drink and a dance!

Such a blast! We’ve party the night away with music and dancing every time we are here! We also go back to Evangelos when we are in Santa Fe!

Not a place for fucking whiners. Only good people that have empathy, and want to have a good time without expecting gold-dipped shit on a platter. I had a great time here because I have life experience, a smile on my face, and a go with the flow attitude. Try it sometime.

I feel more comfortable here than most places downtown, good vibe not yuppie not millennial(whatever that means). Upstairs and downstairs music usually live and DJ. Don’t like cover charges(in Sante Fe really ?) but it cheaper then the Sky Light across the street

I mean no disrespect when I call this a dive bar, because I LOVE a dive bar. Nick the owner took great care of us. He was the perfect gentleman and was so proud of his establishment. Fantastic selection of booze — and NOBUD(the beer, stupid). Cash only, but there is an ATM inside if you need it. No tabs either. I love the old school feel.

Warning warning warning. — greedy bastard owner refused to replace the unfinished drink he took from our table whilst we were dancing, and when challenged was rude and surly. If you want a lesson in rudeness look no further than the Ill mannered woman masquerading as a barmaid. Piss weak drinks at inflated stupid prices and toilets that defy civilized description– cockroaches. Save your hard earned bucks and look elsewhere at the many other classy establishments in offer in Santa Fe.

Our favorite dive near the plaza! Live music, low cover($ 5) — no Bud! Listened to the r&b/ blues band and out for a few hours as a night cap.

Although I enjoy the music, I absolutely hate giving this place my money. First of all the owner is so rude and needs to step out from behind the bar. Who wants a grumpy old man who seemingly hates everyone serve them drinks? Poor beer and liquor selection. Place is dirty and cash only. Don’t waste your time or money.

It was so great!!! Live band was awesome, Didnt expect this much of fun in laid back Santa Fe, but I felt like I was on Bourbon St. New Orleans, during the Mardi gras!!! can’t wait to go back!!! ** I don’t know why some people said the owner Nick is such an A**hole, He maybe a quiet and not the ‘kiss your a**’ type of owner but definitely he was a NICE guy in person!!!** how can he be so kind when you are f**ked up drunk and being rude, Or being a ‘Santa fe snob’?? Be well mannered first, and I’m sure he’ll treat you right.

This place should be on your bucket list! No BS, just good drink, good company, great music, a vivid look at our history(his father was one of the band of brothers WWII). If someone is lucky enough to meet Nic please tell him we said hello and cherish the time we spent at his place!

Despite the money we spent in this place over the New Years Eve, they didn’t let us wait our cab inside. The bouncer was extremely rude. He literally kicked us out and had us wait in cold for 45 minutes until our cab arrived. Worst restaurant/bar experience ever.

Been going since early 80’s. Nick is a peach if you are a girl– not so much if your a guy. But he IS just off the plaza so, what do you expect all the tourist have to go there and also because of the movie briefly shot there. I was a local and went all the ime in 80 – 90’s early. but, the music is sometimes good and there aint a lot of choices nightly for live music(not into the Cowgirl so much). SO– say whatever you want about it but now that the Ore House(used to have music most nights) is closed and the bar at the Pink rarely has music and Bull Ring bar is closed: PLEASE tell me where to find Blues in Santa Fe? All ideas are welcome!

Favorite new spot in Santa Fe. We asked one of our favorite locals where to go to get the best drink in Santa Fe and he told us Evangelos. He was right. Initially one might be intimidated by the dark, ominous look of this old school bar, the aggressive signs saying«CASHONLY» or by the owner Nick and his«F-You» presence. We found all of the above endearing after being surrounded by rich, obnoxious tourists all weekend and this spot ended up being one of our favorite finds of our trip. There’s something authentically attractive about this bar that I can’t quite put my finger on. Also– without question the best margarita I’ve ever had. I’d happy spend $ 45 again on 4 drinks + tip. You don’t find bars like this everyday.

Went to get an after dinner night cap. Band was playing in stage. Wanted to go to bar and get a couple if shorts with wife on our way to Hotel. Told there’s a cover charge to get in. The Band sounded terrible and was told we could get a drink in the down stairs bar w/o a cover. A Fireball Whisky shot and Hornitos Silver cost $ 15.50. Sorry, too expensive. Slugged them down and walked out, and went to Junction Bar. See review.

What a great bar. We had a blast here. Music was great. Great story to this bar and if your in to wood carving what a bar back. In tune with their Greek roots. We’ll be returning soon!

Loved this place! Went every day of our stay to see Nico, the owner. Great history, great guy! Not sure, what all the talk about him being a jerk is about. He was very friendly, great pours on his drinks, bought us shots and was happy to see us. Felt like we’d been going there for years.

Unilocal has been pressuring me in to writing this review with that«Your Next Review Awaits» at the top of its page for months, so finally I’ve succumbed. This place actually can be cool if you can get past the grumpy owner who serves beer with a look of contempt and the bouncers who can seem like caricatures of the most ogrely creature one can imagine. There’s usually some cool, bluesy music to vibe to from local bands and a great selection of beers — my last visit I had a Paulaner Salvator, not exactly your run-of-the-mill swill. In general, the crowd is older and there can be some real characters in here, but that just adds to all the fun for me. Downstairs on weekends, you’ll find a younger crowd and rowdier music, although this doesn’t always translate to good. Anyhow, in the limited time that I spend in the capital I don’t get out much, but it seems the bar/pub/nightlife scene is slim pickings, so this may be the best the town has to offer.
