The worst ever! Soggy sandwich and dessert so hard you can’t get a fork in it! garbage that went in the trash. There should be laws that prevent a small neighborhood place from exploiting their neighbors. We won’t be back! And not at $ 23.00 for two sandwiches and one dessert to line our garbage can.

Had the Croque Monsieur to go, maybe it doesn’t travel well, even a couple of miles. I guess it was the béchamel sauce that was cold and runny. Oh well… the coffee was great & hot.

Stopped in for burritos and a latte. This place is quaint and beautiful. The burritos were delicious with just the right amount of green Chile. It was the best latte I’ve had in a long time. The employees, two brothers were extremely nice and made nice conversation. I enjoyed my short visit.

Really nice bakery /restaurant /café that helps make El Dorado not feel like the boonies. I’ve been in a couple times and had lattes(very good) and pastries(ranging from good to excellent). The coffee prices are surprisingly competitive for espresso drinks. I didn’t actually notice how much the pastries cost because I ordered a bunch at once and didn’t pay attention to the individual prices. But, even if they were a little pricey, having something like this in El Dorado is really nice. Their meal prices seem reasonable though I’ve never been there for a meal specifically. They have a great covered patio area as well as plenty of indoor seating. which makes this a great place to hang out and have a meal or some treats. It’s not going to replace Clafoutis as the best bakery in Santa Fe, but Clafoutis is a good 20+ minute drive from here, and Chez Dre is a great place in its own right.

Stopped here on our way to Albuquerque. We had a hard time finding it because it was tucked to the side of the grocery store. What a great little hidden gem! Upon walking in we were greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter. The coffee here is very good and made exactly how I wanted. The service definitely deserves 5*. Onto the sandwich– we ordered a turkey and pepper jack and opted to have it heated in the oven– it was a VERY good sandwich and came with a pile of house made kettle chips. We will definitely be back! Definitely worth stopping!

I just quite literally had the worst breakfast burrito I have had since living in Santa Fe. I asked for a breakfast burrito w/o meat and with green chile. I came in at 8 am, when they opened.(Note: smart move would be to open at 7:30 if you want to catch Eldorado commuters– we aren’t all retired old folks out here!). It took 25 minutes. That’s a long time for a breakfast burrito in my book. My coffee had grown cold. Insult to injury: they forgot the green chile. So I had a burrito with egg, barely any hash browns and a strange liquid cheese. It tasted like something you would expect from a gas station. For $ 10(burrito + large coffee) I can get a truly stellar burrito just up the road off of 285. Boo. I really want to support this local café, but this is the second truly lackluster meal I have had.

This lil bakery is a nice addition to Eldorado … the pastries are yum though somewhat pricey. Lots to choose from as well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I have tried the muffins, croissants and blueberry pie. The pie was very runny and appeared to have to much«filling» inside. It was unable to be served as a «pie». I probably would not get that again. I highly recommend the almond croissant ! The menu continues to expand.

Very disappointed in what was supposed to be an almond croissant. What it actually was was a plain croissant sliced in half with almond paste spread on one half only like a sandwich. Worst almond croissant ever.

They’re serving gourmet French cuisine on Friday and Saturday evenings now. The pork tenderloin is FANTASTIC. The servers are delightful and the environment is charming. Eldorado is really moving up.

Ridiculously friendly staff. Worst chai latte I’ve ever had. I couldn’t finish it, which is saying something, as I’m usually not picky. It had a sour taste and if there’s one thing a chai latte shouldn’t be, it’s sour. That said, I’d try them again, but only to try the food, which looked quite good.

I was recently visiting Santa Fe and attended a dear friend’s Baby Shower. The wonderful hostess of the party ordered a strawberry tres leches cake from Chez Dre. I was skeptical because a tres leches can often go one of two ways: too soggy & sweet or too dry and blah. As an Angeleno and Mexican-American, I’ve had my share of unsuccessful tres leches cake… so trust me when I say that this cake was hands-down the BEST tres leches cake I have EVER had. The texture and flavor was perfection; rich in flavor but light in consistency without being dry. The moistness of it was also perfect — where the«leches» were not only on the bottom of the cake but it was evenly distributed without creating soggy mess. Aside from the way the cake tasted, it was also beautiful. Covered in fresh strawberries and not commercial-looking — it had that Frech«not-trying-too-hard» thing going and it was tré magnifique! I HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISBAKER!

Andrea is perhaps most talented baker in town. She uses real food in her cakes, wow! So exciting to find her making yummy things at her new bakery! Run, do not walk to this place and you will not be disappointed, Then run and run off those calories. Then go back for more!

Eldorado’s new little gem. Fantastic, upscale bakery and lunch spot. Great place to meet a friend for coffee too! A little birdie told me soon they’ll have a wine and beer list. Chez Dre is a godsend to the Eldorado area, for foodies like ME! :)

This is an amazing café and bakery! The quality is what one might expect to find in a fine Parisian bakery. I will be back whenever I am in Santa Fe! I recommend that you treat yourself, and check out the Chez Dre if you haven’t already.

I completely disagree with the first review. Muffins should not be the size of Texas! And, this isn’t the airport cinnabun kiosk. This is a French bakery! And it’s perfect! The best almond croissant I’ve ever had. My mom and brother are very picky and they love you too! We ordered a cake for my brother’s birthday, and it was incredible and not expensive at all. I told her«just go wild with the chocolate» and she created a rich dark chocolate cake, but not too heavy or sweet. Very good. We’ve been waiting for something like this in Santa Fe for so long. We hope you make it Dre!
