Holy Crap Batman! The pizza is amazing. The beer selection was terrific! Get the green chilies. The jalapeños were HOT. My face is on fire and I like it!!! Great shaded patio. Do it!

Pizza simply was not that good. More than that swaths of it lacked cheese or toppings and when I picked up a slice the topping simply fell off. Wasn’t gross but simply not good either and $ 18 for a small? Ha! Best spend your money someplace else.

This place is always busy even if you come early. Parking is a real pain in the A$$ and there isn’t much seating room inside. Good thing is they have an outside patio and some pool tables and arcade games upstairs. It’s a laid back place but be prepared to wait for your food due to how many customers they get. Their pizza is thin crust and really good. They even have where you can get a slice if you are not extremely hungry. Pizza, salad, and subs. All very good.

Was in Santa Fe, NM for a week and decided to stop by for a bite. Great tasting thin slice pizzas ever! Their title of «2015 greatest» did not disappoint. There’s 2 pool tables at the 2nd story, beers on tap, and everyone there, customers and employees, were extremely welcoming and friendly.

I like Back Road’s pizza, but it’s a bit pricey. The pizza crust is different than a lot of pizza in town but really good. The place itself has a cool vibe with a decent selection of beer if that’s your thing. It’s my thing so this is definitely a plus.

Came here with my fiancé. We were here from Los Angeles visiting friends. We got the New Mexican and added fresh garlic. SOGOOD. All the toppings were fresh and delicious. The crust was out of this world! The service was stellar. We saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. So happy we stopped in! Highly recommend.

Worst experience ever. Way over priced for pizza in a fly infested crap shack with an hour and half wait. What a sham, how they got Santa fe best is beyond me. Must be a dozen people regretting coming here right now. One last note the customer service was crap as well, bunch of punks who would rather spit on you than say hello or thank you.

I will echo what a lot of other reviews have already stated… Wait times seem to be longer than your typical pizza spot(my wait was around 40 mins after ordering.) Once getting the pie(BBQ chicken special,) it was worthy of 3 stars. Overall impression? Meh.

We went on a Saturday night and experienced a long wait, both when ordering and also when waiting for food to arrive. I’d say the total wait was around 40 minutes. Pizza is OK, although ours was very sloppily made — arrived with a 2″ hole in the middle from where the dough was stretched too thin. Also, part of the rim had folded underneath when they slid it in the oven. I’ve been a pizza maker for over a decade and would consider this a failure — certainly not acceptable for a restaurant and the pie should’ve been remade, but apparently they don’t have the same quality controls as I do.

Found this place a few weeks ago by chance. Went in around 9 or so, the pizza was delicious, all freshly made. I give it 3 stars because every single employee there seemed completely pissed about being there. No one smiled, no one asked how our meal was, when we said thank you we barely got a ‘you’re welcome’. When we finally left, they were closing and we all said thank you and goodbye, I made sure to say how delicious it all was and we got zero response. Pretty lame; the place is cool and the food is good. The people suck.

I should have trusted the Unilocal reviews, but I wanted to give this place a shot since it was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives… bad decision. I ordered my pizza online and their online ordering isn’t that great. It doesn’t give you an option to pick the time you want to pick up your food. You have to submit your order, including paying for it online, and then it tells you how long it will be. So you have no idea when your pizza will be ready until you pay for it and you can’t order a few hours ahead. Once I ordered, it said my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. I ordered the Chicken Chicken Pizza that comes with chicken, mushrooms, feta, and green chiles with a tomato sauce. I showed up 30 minutes after I picked up my pizza and picked it up. I drove 3 minutes back to my hotel and opened my pizza and it was definitely cold. I’m not sure how I show up exactly when I’m told to and I still have a cold pizza. It wasn’t warm at all and the cheese wasn’t stringy or didn’t have any indication that it had been cooked that evening. The taste of the pizza was ok, but I just couldn’t get over the fact that I payed $ 15 for a cold pizza. I will NOT be coming back here again.

Just passing through town on my Harley and had to stop after the review from Guy on DDD. Energy here is great, service awesome! Enjoying a grapefruit sculpin(ipa) before my meal… absolutely wonderful. Pizza and salad arrive… oh so good. If I lived nearby it would be my new pizza joint. Will definitely be back and tell my friends about this place. Thank you it was a great experience!!!

Good size pizza, parking, outdoor seating area, and the pizza was better than I expected and as a New Yorker I know that I have to make compromises in this town. But I like it and love how it looks.

In Santa Fe overnight. Tasted pizza from all over the country and wanted to eat somewhere unique with top quality ingredients. Got there in the afternoon and place was near empty. Staff was pleasant and could see that this place is more of a hangout spot for locals. Great vibe, décor. Bruschetta was absolutely incredible. The two pizza’s we tried were tasty. people rave about the crust, but I thought the flavors were the standout items. Everything just tasted really good and full of flavor. As good as it gets.

Possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. It was so bad even my kids hated it. I live in. Houston but grew up in Boston and I know good pizza. Folks outside Northeast don’t know the difference. I showed up at the time I was told that it would be ready and was told that it needed 5 more minutes. 15 minutes later I took my over cooked cardboard pizza back to my family at the hotel. This so called«Bostonian» is a fraud and knows nothing about good pizza. Avoid this place unless you don’t want pizza. The atmosphere was nice and the other things on the menu might be good. Good lemonade and beer choices.

Do not order your pizza online! When we went to pick up our pizza the gal at the front says«oh by the way we didn’t have all the toppings available that you ordered». They didn’t refund the extra topping cost either and my husband didn’t want to make a fuss but if I was there I would insisted on a refund just out principle. I mean really? Anyway, so I just paid $ 25 for a large pizza, missing two of the toppings and at that, it was extremely average and over salty so I won’t be going back anyway. Bleh!

Generally my husband and I only visit places with a 4 star average but we broke our rule to come here based on my parents’ recommendation and just because we kind of collect visits to DDD places. Also, pizza is one of my must-have goods and I hadn’t yet found a pizza place I really liked in my favorite town. I am glad I gave Back Road a try because I loved it. I am a connoisseur of all types of pizza; I am not one of those close minded fools that insists that ONLY a NY style or ONLY a Chicago style or ONLY a true Neopolitan can be «real pizza». There are good and bad examples of all the 20+ regional pizza styles we have in the US of A. Back Roads serves a crisp thin crust which is neither limp nor soggy and provides a great substrate for the tangy, delicious sauce(order extra sauce!) and fresh toppings. It isn’t a particular style, but it is very good. Though many reviews complained about service we had no issues. The lady who took our order was friendly and our pizza arrived pretty promptly. We sat on the patio enjoying the gorgeous weather and a pet adoption event on site with lots of pooches. Makes me wish we had our dog with us and that he wouldn’t have tried to eat someone if we did. Anyway, if I had one complaint it would be that I wasn’t wowed by the sausage. It was freshly made but could have used more seasoning. But overall, I would be a regular if I lived here, most definitely.
