I am sorry to give this restaurant a low rating but we were served raw chicken the other night. Pretty awful, and took our appetite away

We have dined at many of very fine restaurants around the world, and the dinner we had here ranked as one of the top. The brussels sprout appetizer was delectable. The filet of beef and the lamb loin were great cuts, prepared and presented beautifully with garnish and sides that fit perfectly. The chicken was even better, which I can’t believe I’m saying, as I love to match my red wine with red meats, so I’m biased towards them. A well stocked wine shop adjacent to the restaurant and a solid wine list! Enjoy.

My fiancé and I were passing through Santa Fe on a road trip and decided to stop at Arroyo Vino. It was such a treat! The vegetables were fresh from the garden outside and prepared beautifully. We asked for the chef to send out whatever he recommended and we are pleasantly surprised with each dish and combination of flavors. Our waiter paired each dish with wine to enhance every preparation. By the end of our meal, we were very happy and treated with a white chocolate lemon truffle. Arroyo Vino certainly won’t disappoint, a must for anyone passing through Santa Fe!

We were passing through Santa Fe and went to Arroyo Vino while we were there. It was the highlight of our trip. If you live there or are just visiting I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys pleasant surprises. The server made us feel right at home while offering some of the most tastefully interesting wine pairings I’ve ever enjoyed. The dishes were creative, expertly prepared, and seemed to use every ingredient to make the next one even better. We learned from the server that their micro greens, honey, and a lot of other ingredients come from their garden. Try to get a seat for the sunset and try the exploding truffles if they’re available.

I just hate putting down a restaurant but this one was easy. I chose this restaurant for my wife’s birthday. I made the customary reservation telling them it was a birthday and telling them about my food restriction gluten-free. With a reservation I expected a better table but we were OK after sticker shock of the wine list we chose the one at the recommendation of the waitress. We just didn’t like that point so we sent it back. So we picked another one and waited we placed our order and waited meanwhile the table next to us was seated they would serve the wine and finally our appetizer came and I requested I’ll bottle wine again they finally brought it it was OK nothing to write home about. The wind was $ 57. And that was one of their most reasonable ones. When the table next to us was served and we were still waiting for a food I knew something was up our order did come my wife what did the venison and it was the ends tough as nails she couldn’t even cut it mine was there hanger steak stringy beyond yes it was perfectly cooked medium rare. My wife wife sent her back but couldn’t decide on another one so she didn’t order another entrée. The host tried to help her but at that point my wife is already fed up he offered us a complimentary dessert at this point I just requested our check and we left. I googled the wind that we ordered at this restaurant it could be purchased in numerous places throughout the United States for $ 17 a bottle not 57th what a rip. You should remember that this place is a purveyor of wine and what you would expect a fair price. In summary overpriced wine for service don’t know what you going to get from the kitchen I would not recommend this restaurant it is overpriced and not worth the trip. .

This place is great. Not only are the food and service outstanding but they are trying to do things responsibly. By this I mean that they are using as many organics as they can and they are serving sustainably raised meats which is really important to me. I love to sit down to dinner and know that I am about to treat my body to a lot of nutrition and not a lot of cancer causing pesticides, artificial growth hormones and unhealthy doses of antibiotics. They have their own garden where they grow a lot of their produce. They compost their food waste instead of throwing it into landfill, in the process replenishing the soil with nutrients that get passed into the food. not to mention that they keep bees to pollinate the garden and produce their own honey. Great wine list. Lovely atmosphere. Just an all-around great restaurant. My lobster tail seemed slightly chewy but the flavor was delicious and everything else we had was outstanding.

My husband and I spent 5 days in Santa Fe and enjoyed plenty of good food, but the best meal we had was at Arroyo Vino. It’s quite a distance from the main part of town so you need to either drive(as we did) or take a taxi, but it’s well worth a special trip. The room is modern and attractive and there’s outdoor seating as well. We weren’t thrilled with our table, especially since we’d booked far in advance, however there was no opportunity to improve our seating as it was very busy even on a Thursday night. The food made up for any dissatisfaction over the table, every bite was fresh and well prepared. There’s a wine store attached where you can select a bottle if you wish, however the wine list is very good with a teeny selection of good quality half bottles and good wine by the glass at reasonable markup. Our server was knowledgeable and personable. Very highly recommended!

Came here last night for our first dinner in Santa Fe. It is literally in the middle of nowhere and we initially got lost, thanks to my iphone’s map. Cute but non-descript place with a restaurant and wine shop attached. There is also outdoor dining, which we were assigned to. The menu is not large but full of seasonal and delightful items. I had the salmon with the summer harvest veggies. I did order medium-rare but it came out so uncooked that I couldn’t pull the fish apart. They gladly re-heated after I made the request. A good meal considering there are not that many options for this type of place in Santa Fe; however, I wouldn’t say it’s comparable to big-city restaurants. Tip: make sure you get correct directions and not to rely on GPS. There was basically no service around this area, so if you have no back-up, you’re basically SOL!

This is one of the best restaurants in Santa Fe. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the Square and the service and food is excellent. A friend from Texas told us about it. We took a friend from Texas there a couple of weeks ago and we took another group of our friends from Texas last night. When I made our reservation, I told them it was our last weekend here, as we rented a house in Santa Fe for a month. They treated us so well and provided extras to make our dining experience even more enjoyable.

A mind blowing find in the remote but neighborhoody area near Santa Fe. It excels in sophisticated food, experienced service, fabulous wine menu and adjacent wine shop. Could be a hard reservation to get in LA or San Francisco, yet it is surrounded by the gorgeous high desert of Santa Fe, NM.

One of the best meals ever. A nice low contented buzz from other diners. Fine wine pairings. Palate delights. Visual displays. Friendly, expert and enthusiastic service yet unobtrusive. Co — diners were obviously enjoying themselves. Service, ambience, food were all five for five. The trip to the western outskirts was well worth it.

Fine modernist and contemporary American food in a warm restaurant that also sells wine from its shop up front that you can have in your table. Add $ 20 — a little steep. The frisee of pear and sunchoke salad on hazelnut topped with a friend say of pepper corn and white balsamic vinegar is the most astonishing dish. We’ve been back a second time to find an equally delightful frisee. Great duck, escargot stroganoff, grilled lamb and beef. My favorite waitress is Erin who is lively and intelligent like most of the staff.

I am a high school teacher in Santa Fe. Upon entering Arroyo Vino, we were transported: time was slower, the laughter was greater, and flavors were piqued. We had the great fortune of indulging in the tasting menu. Arroyo Vino understands transitions. Each tasting complimented the former and latter, and yet each was surprising and luscious. I remain mesmerized by the textures and flavors experienced. I have eaten my way through Santa Fe, but the flavors, quality, experience, and service cannot be found anywhere else.

Hands down best restaurant in town and one of the best in the country. Brilliant inventive food – yes, an occasional stumble since the kitchen is not God – but worth every visit. Personally I find the adjacent wine shop a distraction and hopefully as the restaurant becomes better known they will ditch that concept and put more tables in there for the diners. Finding this place was one of the best things that happened to me since I moved here from NYC last year. My only real criticism is that the restaurant could improve the dining atmosphere to be more sensual rather than its current pared down bistro style. Then you’d have a feast for the senses!

IF you have one night in Santa Fe — this is the place to go. Arroyo Vino is in the class of finest restaurants that I’ve ever eatin at, including NY restaurants and the French Laundry. We had the Heirloom tomato salad, oysters, spring rolls, steak and stripe bass. The service from Whitney was equal to the food served — he was great!

Went on Valentines Day. Food, service were OK. Very small portions. We waited one and a half hours for our 8:00PM reservations. The owner informed us he could not ask people to get up and leave. They had overbooked. I asked to see the menu while we waited at the bar. I then asked about the 5 oz ribeye steak. I commented I had never seen one that small. He said,“we’re not a steak house”! I’m not sure I have ever been treated so poorly in a restaurant .and I’ve been to hundreds all over the world. If the owner reflects the personality of his business… DON’T GOTHERE!

I have to agree with Maggie L. The food was tasty, but portions were a «taste for one person» not a share with three other people at the table. The waiter asked us if we minded him bringing one plate at a time; however, we were three-fourths through our dinner. I was was the first to receive a dish of soup and was confused as to how I was supposed to share it. It was less than a ¼ cup and I had to ask for a spoon. We were able to split the second dish that consisted of a tablespoon of mushrooms. I calculated the $ 10 soup to come to about $ 40 for a full serving. If I had know our waiter was going to serve one plate at a time, I wouldn’t have let my soup sit and get cold. The gentlemen helping us select wine was friendly and informative and the wine selection was outstanding, but if you order off the menu you are charged an additional $ 20 even though the menu wine comes from the same room. The restaurant determines what wines are on the menu. It was very confusing. I’m not opposed to small plates, but the hostess and waiter assured us that each plate was enough to share. For the portion size and price Arroyo Vino was very pricey.
