Couldn’t take a pic. The food was too good to last in our plate long enough. With my honey, love him!

I’ve been eating her since I moved to Whittier 3 years ago. The food is fantastic! The employees not so nice and the food has gone up in price. I paid $ 10 and some change for carne asada nachos and a a medium horchata. But the service nor the price deter me because the food is so good!

Came here on the weekend, since ive read good things about the place. I had the tacos. I tried the carne asada(a little dry), al pastor(a lil greasy), and the buche tacos. Those were actually good. They have other plates there, and the place was packed, so I would try again, but maybe stay away from the tacos.

Smallest burritos in the world! It was good but I finished it before I walked to the bar across the street lol

I know gas is expensive but my beans and rice shouldn’t be. I’m disappointed that I went to order 2 Sopes with rice and beans and it was nearly 10 bucks From a small hole in the wall! If it was for me starving and having no more time to find somewhere else I would have walked out, I got 2 sopes for 6 dollars. I hope their good. Buyer beware of high prices.

Finely chopped asada is my favorite. This place has perfected that art. I normally order small asada nachos, but substitute the nachos for french fries– hence asada fries. SOBOMB! I love their green sauce too, sour with a bit of spice– can seriously live off this stuff. I was working across the street for a while, so I was eating it almost every other day– with no shame and undeniable satisfaction. I love you, asada of el atacor. Thanks for always being delicious.

A popular local chain of Mexican restaurants known primary for its breakfast burritos, nachos grande and palm-sized tacos à la King Taco. Locations like this one are also open 24⁄7. Unfortunately for me, however, this is where comparisons to the juggernaut LA taco chain ends. Upon two visits here, I have only tried their tacos and burritos. Meat choices I had selected included asada, carnitas, lengua, al pastor and pollo. The asada and carnitas had the most flavor. Both visits were late night, so I am a bit on the fence as to whether the quality of the meats met my high expectations. The flavors were there but lacked the juiciness and tenderness. Orders are placed up front at the counter. The usual wait time after placing your order is about ten to fifteen minutes. The wait seem to promise a fresh batch of meat loaded on to my tacos and burrito. Consequently, the dry, limp meats I got instead were disappointing. Their menu items — which includes seafood plates, soup and a breakfast menu — are quite extensive and pictures of many of the dishes are pictured throughout its walls. My initial impression says I probably will not be coming back here unless I happen to be in the area.

Chili cheese fries with lemon and Tapatio rule, it sounds weird now, but the taste will make your tongue Macarena out of your face.

The pregnant girl behind the cashier is ALWAYS rude. Acts like she’s doing you a favor by working there! The people that go in at night are 90% percent drunk. Probably the reason they have a security guard.hmmmmmm. anyway, I give it 2 stars because its walking distance from my house and its open 24⁄7. Bring money when you come, its kinda pricey

I came here because of the positive reviews for their nachos. What a let down! They are tight on the meat. It consisted of mostly chips and beans. They were very cheap with the other ingredients. They don’t even use real guacamole. It was a sauce squeezed out of a bottle. What a disappointment!

A friend recommended that I try Taqueria El Atacor when I was in the area. Since we were meeting up to finish a group project, the group decided to go grab some food from TEA. They all ordered the tacos, one guy ordered a chicken burrito, and I opted for their version of carne asada fries. The cool thing about this place is that there’s some arcade games for you to play while you wait for your order. As soon as our order came out, we took it home to dig in. My asada fries were amazing but what made it even better was their red sauce they give you. It’s not too spicy and is bursting full of flavor. Definitely ask for that sauce.

In Short: This hidden gem delivers amazing food at a very reasonable price. Highlight: Al Pastor taco with house salsa. Random Note: The menu is a bit disjointed, it actually looks like four menus from different restaurants. My Menu: Breakfast Burrito with Bacon:(8⁄10) Served all day! Make sure to order it with no beans, it automatically comes with refried beans(i blame the unclear menu). Al Pastor Taco:(10⁄10) Nice flavor, not dry like it was reheated from the day before. On par with any top tier taco stand, I highly recommend it. Tamales(Cheese and chili, pork, chicken):(8⁄10) All reheated well, the masa was nice and moist. The pork was very good and not too salty, but the star was the chicken with green chile. Tip: The red salsa is kick-ass. It’s spicy, but not too hot. It’s got a nice consistency like tapatio, but not as much vinegar. Next time I come I’m ordering a quart to go. Last Words: I’m looking forward to going back. Wish I had another tamale on deck, and can’t wait to try their shrimp soup!

Did I read the sign right — «Open 24 hrs»?! Who knew? But hey, not many places to grub in the middle of the night(especially after a long night of drinking! — lol). I came because I needed something to eat. I spotted the Burger King in the same parking lot first. But after eating burgers the day before, it was time for a change! I ordered an Al Pastor burrito with everything and a drink. The food is pretty good, although I wish the burrito was a little bigger(hey, I’ve got a large appetite!). If I’m in the area and crave Mexican food, I will definitely come back!

This is the best Atacor restaurant by far. I’ve tried other ones but this one is just the best! They have messed up my order a few times, but it’s probably because I’m kinda picky in some cases. It’s the best Mexican food close to home. I wish they had the meat milanesa though because that’s pretty bomb in a torta.

I’ve always loved this place but since I moved out of town, I had not had the pleasure in about 5 to 7 years. My husband & I ordered for several family members as well as ourselves &NOONEWASDISAPPOINTED with their plate. What was ordered: Chicken Enchilada Super Burrito Super Nachos Cheese Burger Taquitos Tacos Everything was devoured without complaint!

It’s good when you’re drunk and its good when you’re sober! This place is consistent with their food, and it’s open 24 hrs. I’ve been coming here for many years and it has never disappointed me! I live right in the middle of the Whittier Blvd location, and this location. This location blows the other out the water! This is how I Get Down! 1. Carne Asada Burrito: rice, beans, carne asada. EXCELLENT!!! Add some salsa and lime, and you’re in business! 2. CARNEASADAFRIES: beans, guacamole, cheese, sour cream, and carne asada on top of French fries! EXCELLENT!!! This is my favorite item to order. I have tried carne asada fries at other places, but El Atacor definitely has the best! The staff here are good people, and I have never had a bad experience with them. Even when I walk in here Loaded from a night of drinking, they are patient and friendly with me. Thank you El Atacor for feeding and taking care of me. If you the reader decide to come to Whittier and give this El Atacor a try, please be respectful and enjoy your food. Would I Come Back? YES.
