Took my owe pot for menudo and all they poured was soup. No hominy no tripe!!! Wtf! We got ripped off!!! I would not recommend to purchase menudo here or if you do stir your pot..

Best place in town for tamales and Pan Dulce. I’ve been coming here for many years and many more to follow. You really can’t go wrong. To be honest, nobody’s perfect. i’ve had a tamale gone dry here and there but 98% of the time they’ve pretty much nailed it — 5 star all the way!

Puassed by here on cinco de mayo to take my coworkers some pan dulce! I usually don’t buy bread so I was happy to find this bakery down the street from my house. The line was LONG. But I stayed and waited about 15 min. They have a lot of different bread from cinnamon bread to conchas… they even have the bread with cream cheese and jalapeños! Yuuumm They sell packaged tortillas, bottled drinks and when you go in for bread you go behind the counter and pick it yourself. They sell menudo on the weekend, I must come back and try it! All the bread was being made fresh, everyone who tried it said it was so soft! Employees were not too friendly, but they were busy so maybe that played a factor. I’d come back for sure.

We have been coming here for many years. They have the freshest pan dulce, great tamales and carnitas. Best family owned place to come and get your Mexican goodies! Thank you for serving our community with great food!

Everything was so delicious, one of those great places to eat in Whittier. Whether it’s menudo tamales, or their carnitas they are yummy.

Not much a selection for pastries, cookies or bread, but they have really delicious tamales. Slightly on the greasy side, but they dont skinp on the fillings. Got the vegetable and green chile tamale and it was actually better than i expected. Only downside is you can only get certain flavors on the weekend. For tamales at a cheap price and quick service this is a ok deal if you dont mind a little more grease.

Been coming to this bakery since I was a little girl. Now I bring my kids too. I love the bread, menudo, tamales and carnitas. We swing by here on Sundays before the 10am football games. I also(purchase) a box from them and fill it up with pastries when my kids have potlucks at school or asked to bring something to share. It is not expensive and authentic. I have to admit the people that work here are not super friendly but that is fine. I know they are working hard and as long as they keep making my favorite pan dulce… I will walk in and pay and be on my way. I love it!

I have been coming to this establishment to get my tamale fix, but lately the tamales have been super oily and just taste bland. Also the service here has been rude. The workers look bothered all the time and have that«wtf do you want here?» look. Like, I’m sorry I’m a customer who comes here to buy your product, which helps keeps your business going. Must be annoying making money for your business I guess.

Bread is ok, wasn’t impressed. They didn’t have much variety to choose from. I won’t be coming back.

Best tamales outside of everybody’s grandma or moms kitchen. Don’t even get me started on how bomb the sweet breads are. Soft, fresh and made perfect every time. They also sell delicious carnitas, salsa and beans. 5 star place all the way!

Bad and rude service, I waited in line outside before they opened at 7 am once they open some guy that works there announced that they won’t be selling tamales unless you’ve placed an order wtf is that all about how could you not be selling tamales? anyway I don’t see what the hype is all about they are good but I don’t think I’ll be back I only waited in line in the first place cause my husband wanted tamales. I’m so over this place.

No, I don’t come here for the service. But the tamales are delicious! I can’t help coming here every time in the area. The tamales are kind of small, so I always order at least two. Prices are super cheap, and the pan dulce is good too.

There is nothing bad I can say about this place. The menudo is delicious and a easy breakfast, especially if you are having guests over. The tamales are pretty good. The pan dulce is also really good. Customer service has always been exceptional. Only con is that it does get super busy on weekend mornings and line can be a bit long.

Menudo, tamales and pan dulce, it’s all great. And you will know it because there is always, ALWAYS, a line at least six deep on weekend. It’s a family owned business and they are all friendly. This is the spot for the Whittier area if you are craving a good Mexican breakfast for home. Also, bring your own pot for menudo since they sell by the quart and it’s more convenient.

I went here on a Sun morning around 9:30am to try the menudo… they were sold out! Bollios were out as well! I ended up getting some pan dulce which was VERYGOOD and reasonable priced. I aslo ordered two tamales one green and one red. And when I got home, they were the wrong ones, which I read in someone else’s review. Check ur tamales before u go, since they go to the back to get ur tamales and out them in a paper bag, you dont see the tamales. Also got some chicharon, which was ok, however that carnitas were BEYOND delicious! I definitely would go back, but I feel like this place is inconsistent. I called one day around 2pm and they were sold out of carintas. It’s like they make one batch of everything in the morning and that is it for the day. So if you are willing to wake up very early to get food then this is the place for u.
