Mega Appliances

The David that posted the first review for this company I’m pretty sure is the owner/​manager. The owner is named David, he signed up with Unilocal in October 2012 posted this review and has yet to come back on Unilocal to post any other reviews. I could be wrong but it’s just a guess.
Mega appliances isn’t really honest in my experience. The products are refurbished for the most part and they never once mentioned that. They told me they were display models. Some of them might have been but others were refurbished. The back plate that covered the internal parts of the fridge I was looking at I could see wasn’t the original. It wasn’t the same size and missing screws. When I asked about this David lied said no its the original then ignored me when I questioned him about why it didn’t fit.
Warranty — As mentioned Mega Appliances sales refurbished products. They don’t come with a warranty!!!
David said they give you a 6 month warranty from them (Mega appliances). Then attempted to sale me a warranty extension from a 3^rd party company. At first was trying to say it was Mega appliances that would come out to fix it during the 3 years of the extended warranty. Then when I seen the papers listing the warranty company name I asked him again and David admitted it’s the warranty company that would fix it not Mega appliances.
I didn’t end up buying anything here because I felt David was a little too shady. He has a good selection of products. Price is a lot less than like Home Depot or Lowes but you take your chance. $ 2,500 fridge from Home Depot you are looking at like $ 1700 here.
Also keep in mind most if not all the products here have cosmetic issues some more than others. Dings on doors or scraped paint things of that nature is common. They aren’t brand new or boxed up.
Overall I wouldn’t buy here.
