Shannon has magic healing hands! I went to her thinking, I would just go once for a treat, and I just kept going back!

I am a retired musician, complete with all of the adhesions (knots), tension and stress points typical for repetitive strain injuries. I currently work in critical care medicine working on my feet for what feel like endless days on end. I am also a masters swimmer, in relatively decent shape for pushing 40y/​o, yet continue to experience muscle strains.
I have spent nearly thirty years, seeking and experiencing a vast array of legitimate massage therapies ranging from traditional Oriental, Asian, Pressure and Puncture techniques through to modern sports and physical therapy techniques.
Shannon’s intuitive hands encourage adhesions to release and muscles to relax. She does not force your body to change against its will. She adjusts her room to a comfortable temperature of your choosing and warms the massage table to help prepare your muscles to relax. She has an ever changing variety of relaxing music and avoids the annoying elevator music frequently found elsewhere. She has a wealth of knowledge, training and experience supplemented by a variety of oils, salves and aids to enhance your experience. And for the uninitiated, she leaves the room to give you complete privacy to change down to your comfort level of clothing. Afterwhich you climb under the sheets.
If you are looking for someone to forcefully pulverize you and your knots into a bruised and swollen mass which many therapists rejoice, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
However, if you believe you must endure the above statement in order to find relief from your aches and pains, I would recommend you give Shannon a chance to give you a different experience.

For my last birthday, I gave myself a present, a massage with Shannon.
I work and I’m a student and also a musician. Shannon helped loosen up all of my tight forearm muscles and those in my upper back. I felt amazing when I left, not wrung out, like some massages leave you, but energized and refreshed!

I had breast cancer 25 years ago, a double mastectomy reconstruction with silicone implants, subsequent reconstruction replacing silicone with saline implants, and subsequent reconstruction replacement of the saline implants due to capsular contracture 10 years later. Unfortunately one of the implants got infected and a week-​long hospital visit resulted in its removal. All hopes of having aesthetically appealing breasts were once again thwarted after that surgery last year to replace the infected implant, when to my horror, I discovered the infection had come back yet again in early 2010.
Shannon was highly recommended to me by Dr. Katie Griffin, my DNFT doctor in Santa Cruz, CA. Dr. Katie mentioned Shannon specialized in breast therapy massage and that she might be able to help me given my long history of breast surgeries and infectious complications. I decided to try Shannon, and the results have been miraculous. Not only did Shannon’s work clear up that last breast infection, thus preventing surgery, the scar therapy technique she implemented also smoothed out the incision indentations. I’m now visiting Shannon about once a quarter on a maintenance schedule. I’m convinced this will help keep my implants from going into capsular contraction or getting infected again, primarily because Shannon’s massage therapy prevents infectious agents from becoming harbored in the implant folds or scar tissue.
