Pat could be a personal shopper with ability to conjure the most interesting items into possession. Teas and the culture of enjoying are worthy of your time. Best spot for unusual gifts.

one of my favorite places to shop in Santa Cruz. They have the cool ethnic stuff from around the world. It’s clean well cared for and the owner Pat is a peach. Don’t miss this place. Buy Local.

I’ve been popping in here for years and picking up great finds. Their furniture is often really well priced for the condition and you can find some strange and cool little pieces for around the house. I mostly Coke here for the fabric which she has a huge array and price range of. Some fabric is way overpriced if you ask me but some is such a steal that it balances out. As someone who loves picking up vintage fabric in Asia, this place takes care of my needs when I’m in town. The shop owner is a kind woman who has been running this place forever and seems to really love what she does. I’ll keep coming back!

What a wonderful place. This now I never noticed this shop because it’s a little bit hidden, but beware when you will find it, you will want to buy everything and there are such beautiful things that it’s very hard to choose !!! I really appreciate the Guatemalan Huipils and the reversible japanese vest I brought!

My favorite shop for treasures, always a knowledgeable answer for any item in the shop. The rugs are amazing and beautiful. So much history with each one. I have purchased many items. I have added to my collection of Mola’s, and African baskets. a Turkish lamp, unique jewelry, small furniture. Take your time, so you don’t miss something you can’t live without. Fabrics, Kimono, ethnic clothing, many other worldly gems.

Great place to browse, buy, or sell your own retired treasures. A lovely, clean shop, with delicious rare teas for treating yourself or gifts. There are sometimes bolts of exquisite African cloth tucked away, so it’s best to take your time and explore.

I am always transported into a magical world when I enter this store. It is packed to the ceiling with the nicest items from all over the world. The owner is very friendly and they have some of the best teas in the world in the annex. Their prices are good to boot!

This small shop is a gem and the prices are usually very low. It features ethnic textiles and carpets, interesting small furniture, different jewelry, lamps, kimonos, clothing(usually natural fibers), teas and one-of-a-kind what-nots hidden away. I don’t know how the owner stays in business because of the prices. Dealers from San Francisco and LA clear this place out and I’m sure resell 4 – 5 times her prices. The quality is usually high. A perfect place to just browse or find that perfect gift for someone special. Very welcoming and very knowledgeable staff. The only problem is its funky hours – Wed thru Sunday, 11 – 6(I think).

I come here exclusively for carpets. They have a curious collection of baluchis, kilims, runners, and prayer rugs that occasionally rotates. There are typically around 12 examples from Afghanistan, Persia and Turkey. The owner has some sense of carpet esoterica. Generally natural hand dyed wools and silks, occasionally with totemic animals or poppies. Prices are quite fair, typically between $ 100-$ 500. Quality of warps and knotting varies somewhat dramatically, but prices are appropriate and you have some chance of picking up a gem. Some have poor small repairs, but these are often no more than little interesting footnotes to an interesting piece of artwork. There are various other Central Asian and North African textiles, though I have no interest in these and so cannot comment. Well worth a visit if you are a carpet aficionado, though likely to disappoint if you are a carpet snob and/or require that your art be spoon-fed.
