They should call it Crappy Crust. The toppings were good but the crust was paper thin and soggy. The guy working the counter had a real f u attitude. Not a pleasure at all. Pleasure Pizza used to be great. What happened?

We’re always suckers for a gimmick and we had to come to Pleasure Pizza, even though we fell asleep during Chasing Mavericks. If you’re staying on Pleasure Point, its a quick walk right up 41st Ave and there’s a store right next door for adult beverages. If you want to order a whole pie, we highly recommend that you call ahead. The place is really made for either take-out or for grabbing a quick slice. We don’t recommend eating here because its rather small and the employees rarely buss the tables. Also, it took 57minutes for them to cook our order. In that time, multiple people ordered and ate their single slices. Finally, we originally planned to eat at the restaurant, but the employees were so grouchy that we took our food home. Overall, the pizza is good with really fresh toppings. However, the employees are some of the rudest we’ve ever met. If we ever came back, we’d grab the pie to go after ordering it over the phone.

This place is so amazing to me. I absolutely love Santa Cruz and pleasure pizza is as good as the waves :). The vibe is incredible in my opinion but that’s how I feel about the entire city of Santa Cruz. Get the Santa Barbara and thank me later.

The BEST pizza in Santa Cruz — hands down! Our first experience with Pleasure Pizza was at the other location downtown several months ago. The boyfriend and I popped in quickly to eat a slice, loved it, and made a mental note to come back. After hiking all morning and beachin’ it in the afternoon, we were starved and some good pizza was in order. The boyfriend wanted to go to the«original» Pleasure Pizza location and off we went. It was Sunday around 4:00PM and there was hardly any line. We ordered an 18″ half pepperoni, half Santa Barbara from the friendly girl working the counter and took a seat in the dining area. I love the vibe of this place! We were probably kinda stinky from hiking and sandy from the beach, but nobody seemed to care or notice. People in swimsuits and wetsuits were in and out, ordering slices and taking off down the sidewalk on their skateboards. The typical Santa Cruz«chill» that I adore. Our pizza was incredible! Ordering by the slice is yummy and convenient, but ordering a fresh pizza and eating it right away takes it to another level. HIGHLY recommend the Santa Barbara if you’re into artichoke hearts. They did not skimp on the toppings! Also, my boyfriend went back up to buy some ranch and they said don’t worry about it and to take what he wanted. So nice! The crust on this pizza… oh my lawd. It’s not particularly flavorful, but it’s so pillowy soft and just melts in your mouth. Definitely get some ranch and go to town with the crust. NOM. This place is our new spot when we are in the area. No frills, no fuss… just great pizza.

Not my favorite at all. Came by and the line was about 4 people deep. Awkward line out the door. Staff unfriendly. Slices are big I agree, but once the slice arrived after a lengthy wait in line and lengthy wait to get pizza reheated I sat down outside and took a bite. Meh. Meh. Meh. It’s the crust that I don’t like. It fell apart. It was a mess. Didn’t taste good. I ordered a veggie slice. Not a totally traditional veggie slice. There were added extras of something I didn’t care for. I don’t know what but it was not a good meal for me. In fact I got sick with a stomach ache hours later. Anyhoo, that will be my last slice of pizza from here. Oh well. Next

The pizza was phenomenal(ordered by the slice), the service was phenomenal, it was quiet when we went(on a Monday during work hours), and they play ‘90s grunge music(be still, my heart). There’s no music better for the beach than ‘90s grunge. This place is a gem. Too bad I moved away to LA! I’ll have to make this my first stop every time I drive down the PCH.

After spending $ 35 for 2 extra greasy kids pepperoni pizzas, my Granddaughter went to ask for Ranch and it ofcourse was 55 cents more.

well maybe its unfair but i was in line to order and a homeless guy in line in front of me evacuated his bowels in the line and the place emptied. ive never gone back as papa murphy pizzas are a third the price and the memories from first experience. ive been here since 1975 and never has a place that was once conservative(then became liberal in 1990s) gone to hell so fast people are moving due to violence and the homeless tweeker invasion, sad.

Coming from Stockton to Santa Cruz for the day we always come to Pleasure Pizza! Today was an extra special day. We bought the kids their t-shirts enjoyed our pizza and started back home. We were already in Milpitas and I noticed I left my purse at the pizza spot. My phone, medication and of course credit cards, cash and ID. Called and the girl who answered the phone said yes we have your purse safely. We turned back around and headed back and luckily everything there! Thank you so much staff for keeping everything safe! Sorry I don’t know your names but the guy with the beard, long haired brunette that helped my kids with the t-shirts and to the blond girl for getting my purse for me. Love you!

Walked in tonight, music was so loud it was hard to form thoughts and place an order. Young guy said our custom 14 inch would take 30 minutes. Walk over to seating area, it was pretty busy so we ducked in the back to sit and scope out a table. While checking out the tables, there were a few open ones in a long row. It was a little weird because they have space to spread out and separate the tables. This isn’t Costco… anyways, I noticed that one of the picture frames on the wall had shattered, leaving behind a large shard of glass, in child’s reach. Once we finally got a spot, or at least when a family left and consequently left their garbage behind on the table, I bussed it myself. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that they would have bussed their own, if it wasn’t for the overflowing trashcan… more than half the condiments such as parm, chili flakes, etc. needed restocking. When we finally got our pizza, 40 minutes later, I noticed my ingredient toppings were making the pizza crust so soggy, couldn’t pick it up. My boyfriend asked the other pizza guy that ad just walked in for a fork after being unable to find one in the utensil containers. The guy responds in a rude way, «yeah, they’re around the corner» my boyfriend tells the guy he just checked and only found knives in the jar labeled«forks». We eventually get one from the guy that took our order. Boyfriend also grabbed one of the small jars, thinking it was parm… it had a white duck tape label on it, without and words. Apparently that translates to «garlic powder». Holy shit. Stear clear from this place or just order per slice from the case.

Having seen the movie Chasing Mavericks and since we were staying nearby for the week, had to swing by for a slice. Went on a Tuesday afternoon and got a cheese and santa barbara — total came out to be $ 7.47. I guess the $ 1 slice deal doesn’t start until a certain time? Santa Barbara had artichokes, basil, and green onions and was just ok. The real star is the cheese! It is the perfect slice, really. Thin with a nice crunch on the bottom. Not overly cheesy or oily. They are HUGE too. I had mine cut in half and it could easily feed two people.

Pizza by the slice! And the slices are HUGE. I’m talking about slices larger than your face. If you’re a fan of thinner pizza, this is your go-to! Delicious thin pizza with tons of flavor and minimum oil. They have numerous flavors, but you can only order from the selection they currently have. They had about 5 – 6 different pizzas cooked and ready to choose from when I came. I guess a pro to this is that there’s no long wait after you order. The pizza is already cooked, so one of the workers will heat up your slice in the oven and you’re good to go. I recommend trying the Hook. However, expect a line when you come! I came around lunch time and the line stretched to the sidewalk. It didn’t seem like it was going to die down anytime soon either. There were only two workers when I came, one making the pizza and one at the register. The place itself definitely offers that beachy feel. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, surfboards hung up as décor, and an old TV playing surfing videos. Super chill place to enjoy good pizza!

Good pizza, long wait. Pizza by the slice options were limited so we ended up ordering a whole customized pie. But overall, great tasting pizza with a local feel.

Pizza by the slice was good. I ordered the pesto but it was way too oily for me, my husband ate it. I went back up to get a slice of Santa Barbara instead, but they were out. Slices go fast here… so I ended up with a slice of cheese pizza. It was really good. It was getting close to closing time, on the Fourth of July. I would give this place another shot though. Cute place, guy at the counter was super nice.

The pizza is still as good as ever, but it looks like they’ve done some updating since their expansion to the downtown area. Gone are the concrete/rock tables that used to be outside seating – instead they now have over a dozen stools and a sleek counter type deal for individuals just stopping by for a slice!

I’m a huge pizza fan, and the taste of this soft pizza crust made me love pleasure pizza. But unfortunately the poor customer service makes me avoid this location. They are rude and seem to treat you horribly if you’re not a «local». I’m glad they opened a more tourist friendly location downtown that holds the same taste in pizza. If you’re looking for good customer service, AVOIDTHISLOCATION! Beware of rude employees

Pizza My Heart on steroids. I got a slice of the Santa Barbara Special(cheese and artichokes for days) and it covered my entire plate. Of course I’m that guy who picks out the exact slice he wants, usually the biggest one with the most toppings. Hey, I gotta get the most bang for my buck. Just sayin’. I threw on some more parm and a few splashes of hot sauce(duh) and went to town on that thing. PP is always worth a stop when I’m in the Santa Cruz area.
