Love Brandi! Agree with everything every other review said. She always does a great cut in a good amount of time and is consistently good. Go to her if your tired of the overpriced BS all other salons give!

Brandi is, as another poster said, a godsend. She did my hair for probably 8 or 9 years before I moved to Oakland. Once I found her salon, I was set. My friends from San Jose and even Sacramento would come to her, timing their cuts with SC visits.
1. She knows what she’s doing and can work with a wide variety of hair.
2. She won’t let you walk out of there looking anything but good. Plus, you don’t leave with a style you can never replicate or that looks overdone (think «poodle at the groomer»).
3. She knows that a certain percentage of her clients (like me) will put off calling until it’s a true hair emergency. So she saves some spots for us.
4. Good with both cutting and coloring/​highlighting.
If you are looking for a down-​to-​earth, friendly place for a great cut at a good price, look no further. Plus the salon is located a block or so from the beach… Plan to take a few minutes to unwind and wander near the surf when you are done.

Brandi is simply the best! This woman loves hair. I get compliments on my hair all the time. As my style, length, and color have all evolved through the years, my hair always looks a winning combination of hip, fun, and professional — thanks to Brandi’s recommendations and skill. She also does my eyebrows while I’m there, which is really nice since I’m not sure I’d get them done otherwise.
I have been getting my hair done by Brandi for about a decade, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad cut (other than the one time I insisted on really short bangs and I should have known better).
When I have brought in pictures of famous people in magazines, she gives me honest opinions of what is realistic for my hair and features. She can be very blunt and honest, which I much prefer over people who lie and say that anything will look good. She’s really easy to talk to, if you’re one of those people who likes sharing your life with your stylist.
Brandi is very casual with a casual look to her. Don’t be fooled by her lack of glamour and glitz. She will make you look fabulous.
Her prices are very reasonable. Certainly way cheaper than my friends pay to get their hair done in San Francisco. And her quality is top notch. In fact, I now drive to see her from Berkeley because I know that I will get a consistantly good cut and color.
