Doesn’t take cards, poor service, mediocre food. Not the worst place to eat, but definitely not worth making an effort to visit.

Best falafel in town. Place is humble but the food is fit for royalty. Their daily special can’t be beat, for under $ 10 you get a ton of food.

Ordering was complicated. We wanted a scoop of hummus with our plate and a small thing of tabouli. She put us down for the small side which was much too large and expensive. Giant we figured out I just wanted a small scoop… Got the food. Chicken swarma was dry and oily at the same time. Missing flavor, everything is an extra charge. Skip this place

I always get the Chicken Sch — – sammie… and it’s effin amazing! My fav thing is their HOTSAUCE! Soooo good!!! Mix a little of it with ketchup and you got yourself the best damn dipping sauce for your fries EVER! Don’t be scared off by the rough appearance. They care more about their foo and flavor than anything else :)

This place has good food and nice vegetarian options. I like the veggie platter which comes with falafel, pitas, baba ganoush, hummus, and tabouli salad. A nice drizzle of olive oil and some hot sauce make for a satisfying meal. They are cash only but have an atm. Only draw back is they can be slow as their staff seems limited so don’t come here if you’re in a hurry or expect to get out under 10 minutes, especially at lunch. Parking is limited as well.

standing at the counter for 2 mins without any employee response, although heard them in the back chatting, tapped on the counter with keys and shouted for help with NO replys. and this was in the middle of the afternoon…

The Best Falafel sandwich in town. The veggies were fresh and the falafel balls fresh off the stove. The sandwich didnt fall apart like other places because of too much tahini sauce. I’m going as far as saying that their falafel sandwich is better than Falafel Drive In from San Jose.

I miss this place, I moved to Dallas4 years ago. Am craving Falafels, honestly out of all the options we have here in Dallas nothing compared to Falafel of Santa Cruz. Am planing a trip soon so I can go there and enjoy the best plate ever.

Very good falafels, and pretty cheap. You get a large(6 falafel balls at least) sandwich, fries and a drink for something like $ 9. The falafel had just the right crispiness and the taste was good. Filling for the sandwich could have been a little better, but it was adequate… and the hot sauce was tasty and HOT!!! Thick-cut fries that were yummy also. Pretty much a hole-in-the-wall place, however, if you want a good, cheap falafel, this place will do! Positives: Good, relatively fast and cheap. Negative: Falafel«fixins» were pretty basic.

As a Santa Cruzian, this is my go to spot. Chicken Shwerma special never disappoints, fresh mixed greens and veggies… Tahini sauce that is out of this world. The falafel special is amazing as well. Don’t let the large red squeeze bottles throw you off, while some of them are ketchup, the others contain a delicious and addictive pepper sauce that is any hot heads dream topper. Yes the atmosphere is not 5 stars… but would it be falafel of Santa Cruz if it was? Staffed by who I assume to be UCSC students, the workers add to the fun and funky Santa Cruz atmosphere. Local upcoming event posters line the walls, and collages of workers past having a fun time in this kick ass and funky place build an atmosphere that is fun to be a part of. If your looking for some«pinkies out» type of place– this isn’t for you. Cash only, though they do have an atm inside. Insider tip: for the fountain drink that comes with the combo, ask for the unsweetened tropical iced tea. They keep it in the back, but it is the perfect accompaniment to any spicy sandwich.

the gyros is yummy, the place is little. The waitress is so nice, but here has no alcohol drinks. The place is just along mission street and very easy to find.

I like this place. We’ve been here a couple of times now and have had good eats. I’ve had the falafel sandwich and the chicken shwerma. Family have had the Marquiz plate and the kabob, also hummus and baklava. Everything was good. Service is local and excellent. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. This place is very Santa Cruz and a treat to visit.

Drives me crazy how they do not take cash! The food is very good though. I usually get the gyro special. I wish they had bottles of the tahini sauce on the side since sometimes they can be skimpy. Parking is outrageous! Two spots for the place but its great when you get one of them!

I love their gyros and the hot sauce that they provide! Their gyros is mixed with lamb and beef meat. Filled with meat, veggies, a lot of yogurt and hot sauce, this gyros is a complete, delicious package! Quick service, cash only and a good dining area! The uneven décor for one of the art paintings, gives this place a bit of a character. Instead of Falafel of Santa Cruz, they should rename it to Gyros of Santa Cruz. Or both.
