Bert Faucher – Santa Cruz Innovative Housing

Bert first helped us buy a home here in Santa Cruz in 1991, and the level of integrity and service he gave us then has continued consistently to this day. When we were first starting out, he showed us every home available at the time, which could have met our needs and price restraints – we were only in town on the weekends, and he graciously worked with us for 5 months to find just the right home. As we were about to make the choice between the final few, our circumstances changed – we agreed to have my Grandfather live with us. Major change – new search parameters, had to start all over, as our home would need to accommodate his needs and health challenges. Bert was very flexible, to say the least. Back to the drawing board, with Grandpa in tow (he was a retired Broker, and patriarch, so he got the front seat in Bert’s car) for another 3 or 4 months! We finally found the perfect house – it had just barely come on the market. I don’t think any other Realtor could have been as patient and committed to helping us all find just the right property, and making sure that every question was answered (believe me, there were more than usual with my Grandfather in the transaction!) and that everything went smoothly with our offer, counter-​offer, counter-​counter-​offer (!) and escrow. We have recommended him and used him exclusively ever since. He has always had our best interests in mind, whether to buy (or not to buy) or sell (or not to sell), regardless of his own potential interest or gain. THAT is integrity.
