Don’t ever buy books here. You can’t sell them back and they always make excuses for not taking your books back for money. What a rip off

I signed up for 3 Welding classes, and ordered the appropriate books totaling $ 180. Jess called me up and told me that according to their computer, I only need the first book for all 3 classes. The other books would be the same and/​or irrelevant. I am so happy she told me this, she saved me $ 120! Brandon was very nice and helpful, he finished up the process and I was in and out within 5 minutes. Definitely a straightforward procedure if you are coming in for a pickup! Order online!

Purchased a USED 2013 QuickBooks book at $ 217.00… yes thats $ 217.00! One month later found they sold me a book with chunks ripped out in each chapter. The missing pages just happen to be a specific assignment due each chapter. Brought my book back with receipt and all they could do was sell me a new one for the difference. After a complaint, they ordered another used copy to swap out. Watch out for missing pages in your used books.

All college bookstores are overpriced and COC is no exception.
I have taken intermediate session courses for the last two years and purchased my books through them each time. It’s a smaller bookstore than most but they have it fairly organized.
Purchasing at the store
The first time I used COC’s Bookstore I walked in and found my books without a hassle. They do have long lines during the beginning and ending of the sessions because obviously everyone is doing what you’re trying to do; buying and selling books.
Purchasing online
This time I bought my books online. Luckily they have a service were you can choose to either have it shipped to your house or held at the bookstore. I opted to save a few bucks as well as time by picking it. They have a separate line for this service and made my trip quick and easy.
Service
In store service is slow and minimal during peek hours. However, when I contacted the store I had no problem getting my questions answered. The man who answered the phone was informative and polite. Likewise, with the lady working the pick-​up line.
Overall
Good service but god awful prices. Convenience.

I have been shopping my school supplies at the COC bookstore for a long time and the only reason why I keep going there is because I do not have any other option. I have already decided that once my scholarship founds run out, I will NEVER COME BACK. The costumer service there is so horrible I do not have words to describe it; there is always a line and you can be waiting there for hours and everything is way too over price. If you do not believe me go and find out for yourself. The only reason why I decided to write this review is because I know that every student at COC feels the same way as I do about this bookstore.
