I wanted to add a quick update about my latest experiences with Dr. Dehaan. She is so good at what she does, and you can tell that this is her passion. She was able to detect the smallest murmur in my son’s heart when he was 9 months old and immediately sent a request for us to see a pediatrics cardiologist. When we saw him the following week, he was raving about Dr. Dehaan and praised her for even detecting such a small murmur. His comments made us feel even better about seeing her as our regular pediatrician.
Dr. Dehaan is still as patient as patient can be when I ask her a slew of questions at every check-​up. She is super knowledgeable and if she’s not sure about something, she’ll research the info the same day and usually call you later in the evening with her findings. She goes above and beyond, and we love her for that. Thanks, Dr. Dehaan, for continuing to be an awesome pediatrician to all your patients!

Major props to Dr Dehaan. She has been my daughters Ped since her second visit to her. Dr Dehaan patiently listens to all your concerns and as a mom I have a zillion of them. I like that she is frank and open in her discussion, and says things as they are. LIke one of the reviewers said she does play it on the safer side, but I rather do that with a wee one than be sorry later. I must add that we are ever so grateful that she is on top of things for my daughter. She not only calls you back promptly but also responds to any emails you send her with the smallest of questions :). I am so glad that we found her, since I really picked her because the nurse suggested her when it was time to pick a doc for my baby.
Update: We were in her office office just yesterday with a case of «ear infection». Called the front desk, they told me she was booked, but managed to get in touch with Dr Dehaan, and she was so very kind to accomodate us. She called me back immediately and fixed a time up. Like the previous poster said, Love love love Dr Dehaan!

I love, love, LOVE Doctor DeHaan and am so sad to be moving away because she is truly the best pediatrician.
Our first born came into the world with a screaming case of jaundice. Not the «sit him in the sun» type of jaundice but the spend a few days and nights in the nicu getting the blue light special type of jaundice.
After being sprung free from the hospital we had explict orders to immediately get some blood work and go to a pediatrician. I am so thankful that we went to Doctor DeHaan. We called her office, not even patients yet and she took time out of her day to personally speak with my husband on the phone to help us figure out how insurance works with a 3 day old. I don’t know how she managed but she rearranged her schedule to get us into her office every day for the next 3 days for blood work and a check up. She sent us our very own jaundice fighting super blanket for little one to use at home and afterwards called us at 9PM to make sure that 1) it arrived and 2) that we felt good and answered questions.
No matter how big or how small, she has always been there to support and guide us along the way. Also is very up to date on current medicine, it is always changing and supportive to your parenting style.
I wish I could move her with us, as I am truly bummed that she is not going to be a regular player in our lives.
