The first time I tried their food, I found it way too sweet with no authentic flavoring. I figured I must’ve ordered the wrong dishes, so decided to give them another try… BIGMISTAKE… This place gave me such horrible customer service from the get-go. Firstly, there was a girl working there who, when I asked her for just 2 samples, rolled her eyes and heavily sighed each time, handing me the sample in such a slow-paced way that seemed almost dramatic. BTW, no one was behind me; no line at all… Next, when I asked to purchase their noodles, she scraped the bottom portion of the heavily greased noodle pan and placed it in my to-go box. The second after she did that, a man came out of the back kitchen with a piping hot pan of freshly made noodles. I politely asked her if I could get a portion of the newer one and she just gave me a funny, confused look. The man heard me ask this, and took over her job with me. He then dumped my box of old noodles with the newly cooked portion and hastily scooped some out for me, mixing the two together. He then gave me a real nasty look and, with both hand gestures waving up in the air, said in an angry, catty tone ‘What else do you want???’ Uh, wow… That was so shocking to me. It seemed like I was asking him for the moon when all I wanted was freshly cooked noodles. Very disappointing. I don’t believe anyone should treat customers with such disrespect when all they’re looking for is, at the very least, satisfactory food and service for their hard earned money… This place deserves NO stars if there was ever an option.

I was at Valleyfair with a friend and she convinced me that I should try their made to order pad thai. My expectations weren’t too high, I was thinking it would be better than what’s been sitting out in the trays and I was definitely not expecting restaurant quality pad thai, just something edible. The noodles were overcooked and very soggy. The noodles were drenched in an overly sweet sauce and very oily. I didn’t finish and ended up tossing a huge amount of it away. Save your money and buy something else in the mall.

The selling type is a little like the Panda Express. But it has much other choices and tastes good. The employees are very friendly. It’s a nice dining experience.

There’s no such thing as a free sample, at least when I am involved. There’s something deeply hard-wired into me which will not let me accept anything for free. I always have to reciprocate, pay-it-forward, or do one better. While I think this is mostly a good quality to have it does occasionally rope me into food choices which I might otherwise pass up. Take Ruby Thai Kitchen, for example, and their crack-like mango chicken samples. Ruby Thai Kitchen has a prime spot on the extreme outer corner at one end of the Westfield Valley Fair food court. I tend to always approach the food court from their side, which means I have to run the gauntlet, somehow finding a way not to take a free sample of that candy-like chicken. Then I hear the voice, the guy who hawks the samples day and night, «goodt, goodt, goodt, goodt, food-food-food,» looping like its a recording, then I see him, is there somebody there taking a sample already? Good, I’ll skate right by. Uh oh, he made eye contact, he is offering me a tasty morsel he stabbed with a toothpick, arm outstretched, guiding me in, I’m doomed. After I take the sample I feel obligated to buy my lunch here, he wins, my resistance ain’t that strong. I don’t really feel Ruby Thai Kitchen is very Thai at all, it’s more like a Panda Express type of place pretending to be Thai food. Their attempt at Pad Thai should be avoided. They have some coconut curry and red curry dishes but they are not very good. Their rice and protein combos are pretty standard but occasionally consumed as a guilty pleasure. Where they stand out is their made-to-order soups. The Seafood Tom Yum Noodle Soup is one of the better options in the food court when the right cook is making it. The best cook knows me on sight, we chat while he makes me a bowl. I’ll keep coming back as long as the samples keep landing in my mouth.

The food looks like it’ll be really enjoyable… But it was a let down. I know, I know, it’s the food court, but still! Food court food can still be good! I went with a combo of pad Thai and fried rice with both mango chicken and this other chicken they have. The carbs lacked any type of taste– wasn’t even good with hot sauce and soy sauce, haha. The chicken was almost decent; definitely not worth going back. The Thai tea lacked any type of flavor either. I actually just threw it awake and got me another beverage –__– The staff was extremely friendly

Surprised at the low rating. Yes, consider me surprised. I’ve passed by this place numerous times and the staff has always been aggressive in regard to giving out free samples. They really want you to eat here. So, we decided to give this place a go yesterday. Not too shabby! It’s not restaurant caliber good, but it’s food court delicious for sure. Pricey is fair and there are quite a few choices to pick from including shrimp. You can never go wrong with shrimp. Mmm. Still, there really isn’t much more to say about this place. It’s Thai fast food at the mall. Overall, pretty good and I have no regrets trying it out.

I’m not sure what traditional Thai food is supposed to taste like, but I know the food that I’ve had here is pretty tasty. Most of the time, the staff working is sort of rude, but I only come for the food anyway at this place. Service is quick, mango chicken and spicy grilled chicken are delicious, and it’s on the outskirts of the food court, which makes it easier to get through when walking through crowded Valley Fair Mall.

Well, Ruby Thai is a fast food Thai food-type place. Does it taste like the typical Thai food… hell no! But you know what, the food is good! I love it! Mango chicken and eggplant with tofu and chicken teriyaki with half noodles and half rice is my go-to over there. Now, one may ask… you can eat that in one sitting!!! I say, that and many more! Hey, this hunk-a-chunk needs to eat or else I wouldn’t be able to lift weights and run man! The reason for the three stars is the service. Well, you can’t expect much service when they kind of treat you like cattle in a very busy mall, so you get what you pay for kind of a thing. However, I have been to the others and I get treated differently; guess it is a crap shoot! Oh well, if you are hungry, definitely check this place out! You get bang for your buck! And while your at it, try the sample before you actually order hahah… man do I just eat a lot or what???

This place is located in the food court of Valley Fair mall. They definitely are good at marketing by having a guy standing around to hand out samples to everyone who walks by. A friend and I were really hungry and thought we’d give it a try. Note: If you are diabetic and would like to enter into a sugar-induced coma, this is your spot. Also, if you want to pass out while shopping in the mall from an overload of salt(and possibly MSG), you’ve come to the right place. Our expectations were very low, but somehow this still managed to shock us. My friend paid an extra $ 0.70 for something that shared the name with a Thai classic(Pad Thai) but tasted like an over cooked orangey rice noodle soaked in sugar water. We also had the Mango Chicken, which was a deep-fried chicken-like substance coated in sugar. I am not sure where Mango came into play for this dish. At the end of the day, I am not sure what is «Thai» about this«Thai Kitchen». It seems to me that it probably used to be a Panda Express Chinese equivalent but rebranded as a Thai company to bring in new business. The prices are reasonable, but your stomach will pay for it eventually. Next time, I’ll risk the change of getting ecoli and go to Chipotle instead …

Blech. Won’t ever eat here again. Should have read the reviews. Staff was rude period. Asked about various foods and got a very odd out of place bad attitude. Like I am not supposed to ask questions? Then just rude when ringing up the order as well. I really didn’t like the food here. The pad Thai with sweet n sour was just not good for me. Rice was bland. Grilled chicken was tasty but lots and lots of fatty pieces and I just didn’t have the time or energy to pick through it. I threw the majority of it out — lesson learned. Skip this place.

Came here for a bite when le fiancé was hungry after a few hours of shopping. The guy passing out samples was hilarious. Food was pretty mediocre. I liked the sample(mango chicken or something) he was passing out but when it came down to ordering food, I’m sure there’s much better places out there.

YIKES. They are smart to stop you before entering the rest of the food court with some samples… but seriously. Their a la carte items are only good in a bite or two. Any more than that… you are in for some heavy sodium overload! The mall is always packed on weekends, so the lines are ridiculous everywhere. Might as well line up at something you will enjoy instead of wasting more money at this location. Pad thai is wayyyy too sweet/salty(how is that even possible?) and it looks like it has been soaking in some orange food coloring and oil. Chicken teriyaki is not bad, but a bit too choppy(like I got the end of the pile?) and drenched in too much sauce. And boy oh boy… what can I say about their orange chicken? Out of this world sugar overload. Try Sarku Japan instead for a healthier alternative.

I’ve walked past the food court at the mall before and saw this so many times but never stopped by. This is a cool concept and it reminded me of Panda Express! But I didn’t actually get any food here so I cannot attest to that but I did get the thai iced tea with boba. All I can say is, skip the boba. The tea itself was nice though and it’s a bit more expensive than thai iced tea in thai restaurants. So I’ve gotta come back here to try the food sometime!

This was probably my fifth time in this food court and haven’t tried this place so I decided to go for it. I was greeted by an employee to try a sample of mango chicken and it was all right. I got the combo of half rice and half pad mein(noodles) and spicy chicken as my entrée. If you love spicy food, I highly recommend getting this. It’s the type of spicy Asian food that you would expect. You would need some extra drink to chow this down. Rice: 4⁄5 — it definitely tasted like it was cooked from a rice cooker and it had great taste. Noodles: 4⁄5 — Way better than Panda’s! You can taste something especially if you eat it with your entrée(as well as the rice). Chicken: 5⁄5 — The best spicy chicken I ever had. You get enough of them to eat with your rice and/or noodles. Would I come back here? YAAAS. Would I recommend it to a friend? YAAAS.

Not a bad place to grab lunch while shopping at valley fair. They are always giving out samples of their chicken. I ordered the mango chicken with half fried rice and half noodles for $ 5.99. The chicken was good at first but got super sweet the more I ate it. Skip the old tasting fried rice and just for for noodles. Pretty good deal for a food court meal.

I tried a bite of my kids’ portion. The chicken which was not orange chicken however, tastes similar to orange chicken; greasy and a little tough from being showcased underneath the heat lamps but it was very flavorful, nonetheless. The rice was rather bland and dry. The other portion is beef, I think. I remember it being incredibly greasy. My kids usually roll w/me. Sometimes we have lunch between 11:30 — 12:30 and on rare occasions we have it much later. I try my best to be considerate of their little appetites but I truly am lucky to have understanding and flexible kids. Mall food is something I never buy for them but in my defense, the food court offerings at this mall is on a different level; Loving Hut, Super Duper, etc… no crappy Sbarro here and while I do my best to keep their diet as clean as possible, life is all about spontaneity and moderation. They were hungry and that’s what my daughter opted. Service was quick and brief. There were no customer service engagements. The price was good compared to what you get.

I’m a fan because I simply like the items on their menu. Customer service is a bit difficult to stomach. They arent the smile to everyone type of group. The word I would use to describe it is… gloomy zombies. Smile more. Say«hi!» To your customers… In my last 3 visits its beeng… «what you want? Rice oh noodle? Shwimp one dollah moh. chicken. want a drink? Ok. You want a drink?» It feels a bit like im being asked to choose my last supper… But anyways… locationwise its in the corner so no bumping to others while you try to find a table. The menu is very much visible and description is as is. I just dont know how they figure the scoop is enough as a serving… hmmm… i wonder…

Hmmm… Lots of negative reviews for rude service. This wasn’t my experience. Everyone was actually very accommodating and polite. Walking by we were given samples of mango chicken and grilled teriyaki chicken. Very yummy!!! I thought the teriyaki chicken was much better than Sarku three counters over. I instantly needed to stop and order both items. I found their combos to be reasonably priced compared to other options in the food court. My husband and I split a two item /1 side combo selected steamed veggies and the aforementioned items sampled. I can’t give five stars because if you blindfolded me and fed me these items I would never guess this was supposed to be Thai food. I also would pass on the veggies next time. They were not good at all. I definitely plan to be back again for the mango and teriyaki chicken.
