Unfortunately, sometimes things go wrong. In my case, that happened to me here. Don’t get me wrong. The team at The Walking Company did everything right. Their sales guy helped me buy a great new our casual shoes which I initially loved. Sadly, within 10 days, on of the seams ripped and my toe protruded through the hole. I want about to simply get a replacement pair. I wanted a refund. Not only did they empathetically meet my request, they did so without even so much as a hint of frustration that they might lose the sale that had been made. With that simple commitment to my satisfaction, they earned my trust. And, I’m sure, the sale of lots more shoes in the future(at least from me). Thank you for your excellent customer service and your willingness to totally stand by the products you sell. Well done. You are a class act!

A fairly new Walking Company location(seems to have a new logo and new take on the name … «Walking Co.» instead of «The Walking Company»). Not quite as large as some of the other locations I’ve been to, and not quite as large as the one in the Paseo Nuevo shopping center downtown Santa Barbara. However, they still have a good selection of the regular brands(Clarks, Ecco, Earth, etc). They even had some nice high heel shoes that I really dug — I think the brand was Sofft or something. Quite trendy for a store like this! I didn’t try anything on this time, but the girl there trying on shoes was getting excellent help from the guy on duty. Oh yeah, I don’t know if it’s regular but the plaza/mall in general wasn’t busy at all — so if you want to beat the crowds and get some attentive service, this might be the place to go.
