I ordered a basic two eggs breakfast. It was not good. The bacon was overdone, the hash browns were flavorless, and they were out of biscuits. I was ok to substitute for an english muffin. It was swimming in butter. The waitress was very unfriendly and did the bare minimum. It was not crowded so I can’t understand why they didn’t get it right. I would be curious if I ordered something different if that would be better. But if you can’t get two eggs any style right, then I don’t have faith it will be better.

GROSS… COLD pre cooked waffle-tiny burnt sausage-chemical processed fake pink colored ham! My waitress seemed nice but she was very SICK and her black nail polish was chipped(looked dirty and very unkept). My COLD pre cooked RUBBERY waffle arrived with tiny burnt sausage(like the $ 2 farmer John sausage you buy at a grocery store) was disappointing. My friends omelet had cheap processed ham. When I mentioned that my waffle was cold and rubbery-there was no offer to cook a fresh one for me… probably because they cook and reheat from night before? I should have gone to Cajun Kitchen! Not worth eating even if I had remembered to use my Axxess card.

Axxess Deal Is A Lie It clearly states in Axxess book«but 1, get 1 free» but they refuse to honor it and instead only take off $ 6 no matter the cost of the entrée. Their service is horrible– the guy is somewhat friendly and helpful but the gal who works there is flat out rude– she is not nice. The food did not taste fresh, the hash browns are mushy and don’t taste like potatoes. This place is a dive. Guarantee it won’t be around long. Not coming back. Ever.

Ate here for lunch. One word to describe my food experience… «Confused». Had the chicken club and the husband had the Denver omelette. Two very common menu items but they were different. Service was good but not sure about the food. Just wasn’t right for my taste buds. Lastly, if you’re going to use the Axxess card, it is NOT buy one get one free! I only got $ 6.50 off. Think I will call Axxess to update them.

Delicious authentic Mexican breakfasts and a variety of traditional American fare. Chile Verde and eggs is authentically delicious — literally tastes like the one my mom prepares at home. Locally owned. Shaded outdoor patio. Highly recommend it. Oh and awesome, diverse and very reasonably priced children’s menu. Pancakes, eggs, etc.

First visit since name change. Had the chilaquiles as it was my favorite dish at Steve’s. Way too hot and totally smothered in too much sauce. Couldn’t eat more than a ¼ of it. I’m Mexican so I can do spicy but this dish was not enjoyable. Then to top it off, the Axxess 2 for 1 was a lie. Supposedly the owner told staff to just credit up to $ 7.25, that Axxess made a mistake. Should have honored the Axxess agreement. Very unprofessional… won’t be back!

Would have done 3.5 stars if allowed… First time dining here. Liked the simple menu layout. Nice shaded patio, clean, mellow for a Tuesday morning. Ordered the veggie omelet– it was surprisingly good for a veggie omelet as they sauté the veggies first. Bummed they wouldn’t substitute all sides for a small bowl of oatmeal, and that they didn’t have pink/sea salt, or sugar in the raw options for people who would prefer to be healthier. Husband ordered the corned beef hash– not impressed as it was canned corned beef hash. Staff was nice, they are offering Axxess deals right now, so totally worth it. Will most likely return, if in the area, can’t judge 100% until I try their Eggs Benedict.

Surprisingly good food and attentive service. I ordered a veggie scramble and it was perfectly prepared. One dining companion asked that chicken be substituted for a menu item ordinarily made with beef and they were happy to accommodate the request. Another ordered a chef’s salad that was large and very fresh. I will definitely return.

Walked there for breakfast Saturday morning. Service friendly and very efficient. Portions quite large, enough for leftovers the following day. Usually hash other places is too salty, but theirs was really good. And they give you LOTS of hash browns! Nice way to start the day. We will definitely be back.

I really liked this place for a long time when its was Steve’s. Towards the end of Steve’s I noticed a decline in food and service and it has continued on with the new management. I’ve been there three times since the re-naming and my order has never been right. One time I order over easy eggs and scrambled came out. The next time I ordered corned beef hash and sausage patties came out and the final time I ordered a 2 eggs with corned beef hash and home fries with tortillas. I got eggs with country fried steak and biscuits. By the time my order was replaced everyone at my table had finished there breakfast and had mediocre responses to the quality food. I’m not one to complain at restaurants but I will not be visiting what used to be my favorite neighborhood breakfast joint anymore.

I used to enjoy this place when it was Steve’s now that it is Terraza it is even a little bit better. Last time I had an omelet and it was quite generous. This time I had Ham and Eggs! Everything was cooked exactly as I liked. The hash browns were crispy and delish! I went with a friend who seemed to enjoy it as well. Some time I will have to try one of their lunch items. Looking forward to that!

Aside from the occasional Eggs Benny, whenever I go out for breakfast, I always order the same… eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and wheat toast with a side of salsa if they have it. And that’s exactly what I ordered today. The hashbrowns were undercooked for my taste, so next time I’ll ask for them to be crispy/well done. Everything else was quite good. Better than the Cajun Kitchen on Chapala, but not as good as the CK in Goleta. Thankfully all of the special requests that I DID make were taken care of. I’m super picky about my breakfast. Who am I kidding… I’m super picky about everything, lol. Large portions(leftovers for tomorrow), super affordable(more so than CK), and loved sitting on their well shaded patio(no patio at CK). There was one server taking care of 5 tables, she was great and very cheerful. No complaints about the service. Terraza means balcony/terrace in Spanish and that’s exactly why I would come here instead of other breakfast places that don’t have one. Next on the agenda… Check out their lunch items.

The new owner has kept the old menu from Steve’s but the food is even better. I had the bacon scramble with spinach. ENORMOUS portions, hot, tasty food and service with a smile. Thank you.

First of all, the menu and sign say«A Blend of Mexican and American Food». What this means is that they took american dishes and added cilantro, jalapenos, and or salsa to the items. One server, 3 tables occupied. Service was incredibly slow. Took about 5 minutes to get our water and iced tea. Eggs were under-cooked. Asked for well done crispy hash browns and got under-cooked mushy hash browns. When we finally got the server to come back to the table, we explained the issue and she offered to remove $ 2.00 from the bill for the eggs and then promptly stated«you ate the steak». Being in the hospitality/service industry, I was really disappointed. I hope that the y iron out the rough spots, which are many.
