Sam’s to Go

Terrible experience here. The lady sounded very annoyed when she was taking my order and was very rude i dont reccomebd this place. Also she over charged us for a burger, $ 10 for a plain burger

Have been coming here since I was in high school and I never really learned the name of the short lady with glasses who seems to be the «manager»…pretty sure if you’ve ate here before she’s always the one sitting down in the table by the door watching her novelas and on the phone. Sad to say but as of today I will no longer spend my money here. 20 minutes before closing time my boyfriend called to place an order for two sandwiches. We recognized her voice and as soon as she heard «we’d like to make an order» she made the loudest/​longest «ugh» sound… he ignored it and continued to say that we wanted two sandwiches. once again she made the noise and said they were closing in 5 minutes and she only had enough bread for one. My boyfriend got annoyed and told her to cancel it said bye and hung up. I mean why have a closing time if you’re going to stop working 20 minutes before closing time. Who knows how many other people she turned down before us.

Have come here since Abe aka Mr. Sam opened many years ago after selling Chubbies. Good burgers, fries, and sandwiches. The bread is from a local bakery, but sometimes could be fresher. The portions are good, as are the prices. He appricates your business.

Very nice and helpful staff. Great burgers, sandwiches and fries. Always a go-​to place.

Decent place to grab a quick sub the place is a bit run down but the food is good and the employees are really nice

I use to come here when I was in highschool since it was in walking distance but the customer service is poor
The women they have working behind the counter hardly speaks English
poor service, she mistook my order more than once and charged me for fries before I gave her my card I told her, before I paid since she didn’t run my order by me and she did not give me what I ordered def. Could be better with better staff, not interested in this place any longer.

I WILL GIVE THIS PLACE 7 STARS IF I COULD, Abe the manager was really great and we are going there for last 14 years, he is very generous of the sandwiches he makes and always give more that he should, very kind and very helpful to others and funny.
Go see it for yourself, he is usually there in launch time, GREAT FOOD GREAT STUFF.

I really like this place. I live right around the corner and it feels like a true local joint. The owner/​manager is always in, always pleasant. There are arcade machines for kids, tv monitor with sports usually on. Sandwiches are ALWAYS great, and better than Subway! oh, and they do burgers, fries, etc, too!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I would not recommend THIS Sam’s To Go (yes to Mesa STG).
Service decent, however sandwiches very greasy, sloppy and bread seemed like made day before. Not OK.
Our cashier happened to be the owner, Abe, I think? And he charged my man’s card not once, not twice, but THREE times for our two-​sandwich order — first time was swiped, second time he said he «needed to swipe again because machine not working since yesterday» (uuh, so fix it the next day? good idea!) and the third time being the «refund» which just ended up being debited again. Had to go through our bank and deal with idiot owner’s CC merchant and it took over 4 days to settle. RIDICULOUS!
Do NOT recommend. Please stick to other locations.
