Pretty bad pizza, I understand this franchise is a local favorite but I can’t hop on the band wagon, the cheese pizza is just okay. The toppings will make you feel sick to your stomach. I had a sausage slice and pepperoni, both made me feel like I ate bad cheap terrible food, which I did.

Pep pizza, thin crust, double cut, and a side of ranch. Happy Slursday. Highly recommend: meatball sub and garlic bread.

First of all I got a confirmation my pizza would be delivered at 9:15 then when I checked at 9:45 the manager said I must’ve been mistaken and hung up on me without even giving me an opportunity to speak. While the pizza has always been pretty good, the service is unacceptable. I will not be back.

I like pizza and with the coupon they sent me in the mail it was a great deal. I opted for pick up and was able to observe how they operate. This place was mad busy. All the employees were happy and doing what looked like a great job. The oven is a conveyor that pumped out probably 30 pies while I was waiting! So, I can see why this place is the success that it is. Pizza is really not that great, we made the mistake of ordering pan crust, way too doughy. Stick with thin crust unless you’re loading up on sauce and toppings.

Waited an hour for my pizza and THEN they call for a «verbal confirmation» before making my pizza… what is that? Not doing that again.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. When I lived in sb I was a frequent customer. Make sure to get their ranch too even though it costs an extra 55 cents! It’s worth it. Love you rustys always

The employees have horrible common decency much less customer service skills! I was actually yelled at by the cashier for pointing out that I was paying full price not the coupon price. When I asked for my money back instead they did not know how to use the cash register. Go to Martys Pizza instead! They are great all around!

Best pizza in town. Try the Chile Verde pizza or the el diablo fuego. This are the best, the only reason why they don’t get a 5th star is because they charge you for little things like delivery, extra crushed peppers and ranch. The pizza is well with it.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to SLO. We wanted something quick with parking(which was lacking on State St.). The outside is very charming and welcoming. When we walked in we got that same feeling of charm. The menu is very limited, but it’s pizza, we’re not picky. We got a small, thin crust veggie pizza. It was $ 14 with tax, so not a bad deal! But I just kept thinking about how I could get the same size custom pizza at Pizza Rev for $ 8! The boy working the register was honestly the worst. I asked how the cheesy garlic bread was and at first he just stared at me and then he said«it’s alright.» And then I asked what customers say about it. He said«some of them like it, some of them don’t. I think it’s good.» He had no personality and really couldn’t answer a simple question. He also seemed so confused when we asked for cups for water. Just a very slow employee with no opinion. After we got a table we seriously had to wait a good 20 minutes for our pizza. There weren’t even that many people in the restaurant. I know they had deliveries but REALLY. The pizza itself was actually good but the crust wasn’t THAT thin. It was fine for me but I know a lot of people order thin crust to eat healthier and I would have been upset if that would have been the case for me. There was also so much cheese on the pizza. I absolutely love cheese but pizza is all about balance. I won’t ever go back just because of the service, wait time, and uneven proportions.

The person who answered the phone for to go order was rude. The pizza was not even warm. To spend almost $ 30.00 on a pizza I expect good service, and hot pizza

Some of the best pizza in SB. NARDONNE’S ISWAYBETTER though(and by no means is this review about a significantly better pizza place in Santa Barbara, less than a mile away that everyone should go to). Been going to Rustys since I could hardly walk. That being said, the owner of this location, or manager, is a complete fucking asshole. I parked in the big lot for CVS, rustys, and the apartment building, to go to a restaurant right next door. And a lady came out to argue with me about how I can’t park there unless I’m going to CVS or Rustys. Which I get it, it’s fine. But there is zero signage, and the buddy neighbor doesn’t have really parking at all. It’s just bad business. You don’t think that when rustys overfills they go to the small little lot for their buddy restaurant??! I mean come on. There were plenty of parking spots too!!! It wasn’t even a full lot, which would make more sense. Santa Barbara is a nice town. Keep it that way. Terrible business practices. Terrible company. Great food. Go for the food, but know you’re supporting bad juju for SB. Nardonne’s wouldn’t be so rude to people. I don’t get why that place isn’t bigger. Never going to Rustys.

I tried Rusty’s Pizza the other night and was overall pleased. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was clean and tidy. They have some video games for the kids and two rooms upstairs for private parties. Women’s restroom had two mirrors both placed too low for me to see myself without crouching, but overall fine. Nice salad bar, though nothing special. Pizza was likewise — good but nothing special. I wouldn’t come here on my own, but when my friends want to come here, I don’t mind. Downsides — they don’t have breakfast bacon as a topping choice. This seems like a pretty big oversight to me, but my friends like it here so I’ll keep coming back with them. Oh, lastly, they do have a parking lot but it’s tiny. Par for the course in SB, but I still wish it was big enough to accommodate a reasonable dinner crowd.

I understand when businesses need to cut costs but I have never had a pizza place charge per packet of red peppers on a Togo order of a full pizza, full length meatball sub sandwich and a whole order of garlic cheese bread. I asked for extra red peppers while he completes my order and then when I receive the order I had 5 tiny packs of crushed red peppers. I ask for more and he states«I gave you two extras. I have to charge for more.» Kinda of odd and cheap for a business. If you’re struggling financially maybe not have 6 people on staff at once on what appears to be a slow night, but extra for a dirt cheap seasoning seems over the top.

Not understanding all the Rustys Pizza hate I’m seeing. I think the pizza here is terrific! I’ve never physically at this particular locale, but get delivery on a semi regular basis.(Their online ordering experience is sweet). Get the Rustys Special, you can’t go wrong. Also I recommend dipping your pizza in their ranch dressing. Along with Persona, it’s the best pizza in town. IMHO of course.
