Although my insurance generally covers everything, they gave me a pricey bill for the medicine they had given me. I feel that it’s their responsibility to let their patients know that they are charging them and give them the option of taking the medicine or buying it at a pharmacy at a fraction of the price. Other than that, the facilities were nice (as well as the doctor), however the people behind the counter seemed unprofessional.

Dr. Lansing Huffard at MedCenter Santa Barbara patiently listened to my description of the back muscle spasm that made me pull over in pain while driving from LA to Santa Barbara. His diagnosis and prescription provided swift relief from the acute back pain during the day and with the muscle relaxer I was able to sleep through the night at the hotel in Santa Barbara. I’m so glad I found Dr. Huffard. Travel can be tough — Dr. Huffard had me back on the road on my way to Sacramento after a 24 hour respite in beautiful Santa Barbara. I was symptom-​free in just a few days. What a relief to receive excellent care as an out-​of-​town traveler in need. Much appreciated!

It took an ER trip countless primary care visits and a year of pain before I found someone to listen to me. The results are not what I wanted to hear but it’s a start. Looks like I’ll have a long road ahead BUT if the rest of my care here is as good as my first vistit everything will e FINE.
My husband was seen here years ago and also had top knotch care. Very pleased.

The staff at the Med center were so great to me yesterday. I was in extreme pain and they got me in quickly. The nurse Martha was so compassionate and caring! She made me feel very comfortable. And the doctor was very helpful. I definitely recommend them!
