Dwight Murphy Field

Dwight Murphy isn’t in the best neighborhood but it’s well kept up. The baseball diamond is used for individual practice and actual games. Being a baseball fan when I walk by you’ll see me checking for a game.
There is one set of small benches as well as a large grass area. Homeless frequent the field but at least for now they aren’t the rude younger vagrants who harass shoppers downtown. I’ve yet had any give me a hard time.
Nestled between the beach, Chase Palm park and the zoo this quiet area is often overlooked. That’s fine for me. It allows more quiet to read or just look at the beautiful views to relax.
