The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I love coffee bean in general. I always get a good coffee fix. I drank Starbucks for years before I switched over to coffee bean and I have yet to regret it. I always tried to give Starbucks a chance but their coffee is never top notch and I always feel like their coffee is actually coffee.
I’m a huge hazlenut drinker and coffee CBTL is perfect when it comes to that. I also come here for the white hot chocolate which Starbucks never offers because they «don’t know how to do that.»
Might just be the location I go to but it’s not like white hot chocolate is hard to make.

Always open early the service is friendly and fast. Drive thru is fast and not too busy. Best coffee ever!

They remember my order every time. They’re fast. Coffee is always great, except on one occasion and the Manager recovered that service experience for me. It’s clean, quiet typically, and always delicious. Only headache might be the parking lot at lunch time. Bad drivers will be bad.

After grabbing lunch at the Habit you can grab a cup of coffee right across the way. Before I jump on the freeway grab a vanilla latte its so much tastier than Starbucks and i have gift cards… sweet.

Woman behind the counter was so rude. She thought it was funny when I ordered a green tea. She asked me, «what kind of green tea?» — laughing and shaking her head. How about letting me know what kind of green teas you have or showing me where on the reader board they’re listed. I go into Starbucks and ask for a green tea all the time. Never coming back here again. They need to train their employees better. And, by the way sweetheart, you work in retail. You can drop the attitude.

This location is ok. I generally don’t choose this one, but it’s convenient when shopping at Mother’s Market.
It’s one of the tinier locations. The front is open and pretty but as you walk to the back to get your drink it’s dark and kind of depressing.
The people working there are nice and my drinks usually turn out pretty good.

It was 5:27 am and the only place that was close to being open was coffee bean. My boyfriend was viscously sick and we knocked on the door to have them let us in and go to the bathroom. NOT ONLY DID THEY IGNORE US BUT THEY LAUGHED TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT. I was a paying customer and a HUMAN BEING WHO WOULD RATHER VOMIT IN A TOILET INSTEAD OF YOUR DAMN BUSHES! THEY RUDE LADIES COULDNT OF OPENED THE DOORS 3 MINS EARLIER!!! I will never go to coffee bean again. This is why Starbucks is succeeding because they care and have a level of customer service that coffee bean will never have!!!

Coffee Bean is essentially a cheaper version of Starbucks. By cheaper, I’m not only talking about the price, the quality of the coffee is cheap and their blended drinks are like ²⁄₃ ice with the drink ingredients.
I got the Coffee Bean version of the Green Tea Frappuchino and on both occasions, the drink was bland and wasn’t even sweet. This place is pretty much empty now that Starbucks opened up a shop nearby. I only went here because I had a gift card.

I come for my coffee very frequently here since I live close by. Staff is usually friendly but wi-​fi is not so great. Also sometimes staff is unprofessional and not so customer focused and more into their conversations out loud so everyone can hear.

Great neighborhood coffee place. I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and the employees always say hi and put in my order before I even get to the till.
Absolutely no complaints about this place.
My order: Extra large ice tea, half Pacific Coast, half Tropical Passion, extra ice, one sweet n low (I forgot to mention that they’ve recently decided to discontinue sweet n low.) They always get it right and dissolve the sugar before adding it to the drink, unlike Starbucks.

I absolutely love Coffee Bean way more than starbucks. They have great food, great drinks, and great people working there. Quiet place to study and enjoy company with friends :) Yummm!

I come here because Coffee Bean is better than Starbucks, this spot stands out because of the staff. I enjoy coming here because of them.

Passed by while walking in the shopping mall. 50% off for ice blended between 3−5pm? Perfect! Thirsty and tired after shopping around with my wife.
Malibu dream is always my No.1 here and now it’s less than $ 3 for a regular size.
Don’t forget to have this great deal while you shopping around. Oh, the internet is so slow, but who cares? Get a good deal ice drink and continue your shopping journey!

Dropped in to grab a quick drink. This is my first time trying CB&TL. I had lots of questions and was looking for something specific. Robin was such a great help! She knows her products well and was very patient with my entire family. I hope she reads this and knows how much her kind service is appreciated.
Her coworker tonight was also very pleasant and attentive. Great team!

I love this location because its private and has the correct mood! You can never go wrong, with a refreshing chilled drink on sunny days or a cozy warm beverage on those cold nights!
Besides the manager is great!

I was excited to try the Thai iced tea latte… But it was a miss. Assuming that it would have been really sweet I asked if there was any way to make it less sweet and they said they could put less powder in it. I agreed and then asked what type of milk goes in it. But they said there’s no milk in it!!! Don’t lattes always have milk in it? With that said it has a really weird taste to it. I think it’s missing the dairy. I’ve never really tried anything else from coffee bean so I’m only basing my review off the Thai tea latte.
The staff there was really nice though. The layout of the cashier to the drink pick up area was a bit weird though.

I try to let my positivity out weigh my negativity, however some times one star and two star reviews are necessary as they are a method of discourse between the business owner and the public and inspire change.
First off let me state that I am primarily a Dunkin Donuts guy and I am not really a fan of Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Sometimes however I am willing to deal with it so I can find a GOOD internet connection to get my work done.
This Coffee Bean strikes out in a number of major area.
1) In comparison to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts or even other Coffee Beans it is astonishingly over priced. Dude your located in SANTANA … Not Newport Beach… chill with that.
2) The are stingy with the outlets and electricity. I guess they don’t want people charging their laptops because you have to ask for them to go turn it on. If I am paying close to four dollars for an Iced Coffee that is not that big or not even that good the outlets should be on all the time. Period. End of story.
3) It is a hang out for the SANTANA police department. Like A LOT OF police. I need a caffeine fix not a failure to yield ticket that is going to stay on your record and make your insurance go up. I’m not saying that happened to me but if you show me two places to get coffee one that has four cop cars in it and one that has none, guess where I am going?
Yea, ENOUGH of my money already goes to fund California municipalities. Thank you very much.
4) The internet is slow. Extremely frustrating. Its not even fast enough to run the site where I need to input my data.
I am kinda stuck here in an emergency but I am sure to NEVER come to this Coffee Bean again.

This Coffee Bean is located across the street from the MainPlace mall, in the same plaza as Curry House and Mother’s. The drinks are delicious. Good quality coffee and service is quick and friendly!
There are lots of tables and seats if you wanna stay to do work or talk with a friend. Just hopefully you don’t have to use their bathroom during your time here because it’s dirrrttttyyy. It looked like there were sprinkles of water or who knows what ALL OVER the floor. I understand here and there but the ENTIRE floor?! As well as everything from the sink to the paper towel holder looked like it was beat up af. Don’t know how often it gets cleaned…
I just grab my coffee and bounce!

Like every other morning in the week I like start my day in the. «Coffee Bean «the service is really good the Coffee is always fresh and the food is very high quality.
I work in Santa Ana Mall so i also like make my meetings from work here and this place didn’t disappointed me yet.
I’ll defiantly keep drinking! My coffee here every morning and get my favourite bagel

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a large coffee chain that makes a great alternative to Starbucks. Although I find far fewer locations I tend to like their ice blended drinks here better than Starbucks as well (after all they are the originators of this, it says so on the cup).
This Coffee Bean is located at the corner of Main Street and Memory Lane in Santa Ana (across from the Main Place). The location gets quite busy and parking is not always the easiest to find due to the adjacent restaurants and shops. I really like the layout of this location (although it is tight in spots inside) with the large outdoor patio area and a small inside seating area. The décor is nice and fitting for the establishment and gives it a real earthy vibe.
The drinks here are made well and the variety is large. They have all your favorites that you would get from Starbucks as well as their own signature blends. As I tend to lean more toward the blended drinks as I am not an avid coffee drinker I usually order the Pure Chocolate Frappé which is heavenly. The whipped topping mixes well with the drink and really gives it the tasty of a frothy chocolate milk which is perfect for me. I saw on the menu that they have a blueberry pomegranate latte (also blended I believe) that sounds delicious that I will definitely need to go back and try.
A great alternative to Starbucks with many of the same options as well as some unique varieties as well. They have friendly service, free WiFi and competitive pricing. The only drawback is CBTL do not tend to have a drive-​thru which would be nice but is a small negative in the grand scale of things.
