A friend of mine had his first small exhibition here about a month ago. The location is probably the best and the owner is actually really nice. They do mix it up … from your regular Baroque Obama and Hillary Rodham Deco type of political art to Kush type of surrealism. last time I went, the place had a «An Enthralling Look at Life’s Random Connections» type of theme.

Very small gallery next to The Road Less Traveled. Interesting art work and pieces when I was here in early May. The collections change on a somewhat regular basis but have been unique to this point. I have yet to visit on a Friday night or weekend BBQ but the owner is talking it up quite a bit and he seems like a genuinely nice guy.(Funny as hell too.) This is the kind of gallery there needs to be in Laguna just to change up the otherwise dust/cobweb set. There is only so much you can do with beach sunset scenes on water color paper.

@space is looking to be the hot new Gallery in the OC… If you show up on some Sunday’s there maybe an impromptu BBQ around back. Friday night is wine and cheese… They have a new show every month, openings are the second Saturdays. Right next door is THE Green Scene of the OC. Road Less Traveled…

On the corner of Main & Buffalo – don’t blink or you’ll miss it! Parking in the rear or across the street – the back lot is a little hard to get to since Buffalo is a one way street. I went to their opening last Saturday and Julie has done a great job of creating a small, chic, showcase for contemporary art. They had the usual wine and cheese spread and music playing in the background. The art was amazing, but unfortunately out of my price range. The best part is that they keep regular hours so you can come by during the week or on the weekend and they will be there – most of the other galleries in Santa Ana are by appointment only.
