Drove out to this place from the I. E for a hair cut (13 inches!) & to add some highlights. I’m so happy I came here because my experience was exceptional. Running with Scissors… I’ll be running back to you :)

The first time I came to this salon was to treat my mom to a hair cut, style and color for her birthday. Her appointment was with Jose and she was very happy with it. She looked and felt good and Jose was extremely professional and attentive to her needs. Since my mom was really happy with Jose’s work I decided to come back and get a haircut myself. Now I usually go to a barbershop but during this time of the year I don’t have a lot of free time because of work and the barber I usually go to had very limited availability. I tried giving some other local barbershops a try but they don’t do appointments and wait time can be up to two hours or more! So I contacted Jose and once again he was extremely professional and flexible. We scheduled an appointment and it was immediately confirmed by the Salon and I got a reminder the day of the appointment through text.
I told Jose how I usually get my haircut at the barber and he did not miss a beat and was able to do an even better job. I am very satisfied and happy with my haircut. The fact that they were so accommodating made it even better. The Salon is really nice, modern and clean! Everyone is so friendly and professional. I am definitely coming back for a haircut!

I love my hair cut so much. My very first hair cut in USA it was a pleasant experience. Andy really know what he is doing. He did a amazing job. I highly recommend this hair studio. When you just want a change but you are also afraid of result. Just trust him he will put a smile on your face.

My first visit was exceptional. Customer service is always critical for me.
Over the phone and in person, reception was friendly and approachable. They had a couple available appointment times the same day that I had called. Hospitality was definitely five stars.
Service was also five stars. As an individual who is very particular about hair styles Steven was spot on. He had hair suggestions and the good thing was that he didn’t try to force the suggestions upon me.
At Running With Scissors I feel like the top priority customer. I usually shop around for my haircut, but I think I have finally found my salon.

I met Jose when he worked at benefit at main place. i haven’t dyed my hair in over two years since last time my hair was pretty much damaged so I was scared when I decided to try it again. i don’t regret it! Jose is honest about what looks good and provides helpful suggestions. I am a satisfied customerI love my hair and the products are amazing as my hair looks healthier and my color hasn’t faded!

I just got back from my very first appointment with Andy, he did an amazing job I love the end results he made me feel like a different person in a matter of 2 hours. I walked in there a frumpy wife and mother of 2 and walked out feeling sexy and confident all of this from a cut and color and not an ounce of makeup on my face. I was made to feel extremely comfortable and welcomed the attitude of both Ray and Andy is nothing short of awesome, from a warm welcome to Ray extending me an offer of coffee, since he was headed out for a Starbuck’s run. I’ve often gone to other salons where the stylist is amazing and highly referred but there is little to no interaction with the clients, this was not the case here I never felt out of place or awkward with Andy we conversed from beginning to end, I loved my first experience and will definitely be back for more.

Steven is talented and always makes me feel beautiful when I leave the salon. Today I got tape in extensions and love the light weight length to my hair. They look so natural and he also cut them to my layered hair. I wish I could hire him to style my hair everyday. Thank you so much for being great to me!

Steven David is such a great stylist! He has an amazing set of skill that are had to find, not only is he great with clippers; he is extremely talented with shears.

Steven does a great men’s cut. Very knowledgeable and takes great care in the final product. I’ll be back!

My hair stylist was Andy and he did an amazing job I’ve never colored my hair so I was super scared but I’m very glad I went in:) the salon is super cute and the service was awesome. I will be coming back for sure! thank you Andy

I have been going to Andy since I was 9 years old. My mom found him when he was only 19! I have NEVER gone to another person since. Okay, I lied, I did once and they completely messed up my hair and I hated it. But sure enough Andy could fix it and make it looks beautiful again. I met him when he worked for a different salon and watched him open his new salon which is so modern and pleasant to be in, he’s definitely talented at what he does and he makes sure every step of the way that you are both on the same page and will communicate with you if he thinks something else will look better. As a loyal client of his for the past 11 years, I HIGHLY recommend him. :) ALSO, don’t forget about his amazing other half, Ray is such a sweetheart and will make you feel right at home. They are both amazing and you will not regret going there. :)

Gladene is absolutely amazing! I came in with a terrible cut reminiscent of 1994 and had a green brown hue to my hair. Glad trimmed it just just a little to make my cut look modern and barely took off any lenght, (I needed to grow it) and redid my color to a dark blonde with ombré with and beautiful non brassy shade which I didn’t think it would be possible going from my green brown hair. At the end before she blow dried she told me if there was anything I’d didn’t like, she would fix it then and there after it was dry which I’ve never had a stylist offer that. Then she styled my hair super cute and modern .She is seriously amazing and so sweet. Highly recommend her. Ray the owner is and so nice, he moved my car for me while I was there to and another meter while I was processing. Go there, you won’t be disappointed and their prices are very reasonable.

Such a cute/​welcoming salon! My boyfriend needed to come in for a cut and beard trim, and was able to get an appointment the next day.
We walked in and could tell right away how chic the place was! Fun music playing, very modern décor. You can’t help but feel a little hip getting your hair done here.
Gladene was his stylist for the day! She immediately made it known that she wants to give you exactly what you want! She even explained what she was doing as she was doing it to make you feel more at ease.
He looks great and I can’t wait to come back for mine :)
Oh and the coffee and cookies are good too!

I called this morning to see if by any chance they had room for me on their schedule. Ray I believe answered the phone, he started my experience off great. He let me know that Glad had room on her schedule to take me for a later 530 appointment. I’m not going to lie I was a little scared, seeing as I had not heard about this hair stylist but none the less decided to give her a try. Oh man! Am I happy I did. She is absolutely wonderful! From the minute I walked in both Ray and Glad made me feel so welcome. They offered me water, coffee, snacks it was great! Then came the real test I sat in the chair I’ve dreaded most of my life. I always feel so vulnerable getting my hair done, but Glad made everything better. She asked many questions regarding what I wanted, what I didn’t want, what I wasn’t sure of, she covered all the bases. She gave me her ideas, and I gave her mine… it was refreshing. I’ve never had a hair stylist really listen to what I have to say, and I felt as if Glad really cared about me liking the end result. She washed my hair, cut my bangs (exactly how I had explained I wanted them) and styled my hair. At the end of it all I didn’t like my hair… I LOVED IT! The results were better than I could have imagined. I’m so excited, I have finally found someone I can trust with my hair! Definitely would recommend this place. The atmosphere is great, the staff is super friendly, and it was an overall fantastic experience! They have gained a loyal client that’s for sure.

Glad considered my face shape, skin tone, lifestyle and brought out the prettiest version of myself! More so, I stepped out of the salon with confidence and a smile!

I was recommended to Steven Rodriguez through some friends at work and am so so happy with the cut and color he gave me. Steven was so easy to work with, he really understands the relationship between hair color and skin color. This was my first time getting my hair colored and I was a little unsure as to what I wanted, he seemed to know exactly the tone that would work with my skin. Aside from being an excellent hair stylist he is such a sweetheart and made it a very enjoyable experience.

STEVEN is amazing!!! I let him put color for the first time on my virgin hair and i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Steven did such an amazing job and added dimension to my lob (long bob) that I had just cut 13.5 inches off and needed some ooooomph. I have gotten TONS of compliments on my hair since because of his amazing balayage color on my hair with caramels and light browns. My other friends have gotten cuts and color from Steven before and I’ve alway admired his work from a far. I took the plunge and drove all the way from Burbank to Santa Ana and I’m so glad that I went to him and trusted him with my hair cause again, STEVEN IS AMAZING!

Andy is amazing!!! I look forward to going in for touch ups the guy has talent! Such a cute salon and always feel very welcomed and comfortable. They are truly the best kept secret
