Another fantastic haircut by Atilano. Super chill dude with amazing artwork. The environment was down to Earth and I recommend him to everyone looking for a cut or even color!

Joseph was extremely patient with me I had to reschedule few times and he still found a way to accommodate me with his schedule. He is super nice and easy to talk too –no over the top attitude!

After reading reviews on Unilocal,I went to visit Atilano salon and I’m so glad I did! I have blonde highlights and I needed my roots redyed and I am so thrilled with the outcome. He made my hair color look very natural, and I also love my haircut. He is great to talk to as well, which is super important especially when getting something as time-​consuming as highlights. I would definitely recommend Joseph to anyone needing a haircut/​dye :)

Atillano’s styling work is published in professional hair salon books and comes with lots of accolades for contemporary styling. So I decided to see what he could do for me. Atilano colored my hair and I have to say, this gentleman is a true artist! I love, love the way it come out. So happy. To add to the experience, his salon is also an art gallery and is a feast for the eyes. A wonderful environment to get your hair done. I highly recommend.

The gallery is gorgeous and his artwork is simply amazing. Joseph works magic with your hair. I have never once left there disappointed and have turned quite a few heads walking out. He makes you feel like a super model. His recommendations on color have also always been spot on. It’s at the point now where I just go in and say, «Go. I trust you.» and I always walk out happy. Even if I didn’t work just down the street, I’d happily make the drive to see him. He is the only stylist that I’ve returned to time and time again (and I’ve been through quite a few).

Atilano is legit the best hairdresser I’ve ever been to. He’s always prepared to hear whatever it is I want to do with my hair that month, even if I want it to be hot pink one month and dark brown the next. Not only is he a fantastic artist and a fabulous hair dresser, we always leave feeling lifted by his love of God! I highly reccomend!

Dia de Los Muertos this weekend was so cool and the art in this building really made the traffic and parking and trek all worthwhile.

Atilano cut my hair artfully, taking about 10 years off of my appearance. The artistic atmosphere of the place sets a great mood.

All I can say is «WOW!» A true artist in every sense of the word, Joseph takes the time to get to know his clients and offers the best service I’ve seen thus far in a salon. The ambience is very relaxing, with his beautiful artwork adourning every wall, including the ceiling, and the chill atmosphere that only a true professional can provide. His prices are very reasonable, and he does wonders with color! Pus, if you want to try a different style but not sure what, he is more than happy to give you some ideas that would work best for the shape of your face, complexion, eye color, and even profession. He truly is a master, and I highly recommend!

BEST STYLIST IN TOWN!!! When you walk up to Josephs studio you’ll immediately notice the warm inviting glow reflecting off his seemingly countless works of art, meticulously placed, on both wall and ceiling. When I found out Joseph did hair I was eager to jump into the chair, to take advantage of both his relaxing studio as well as his obvious talent… doing hair. He’s a marvelous stylist in every sense of the word, and sees a persons hair as his canvas. Despite what another person has said, his skills are amazing, all he needs is a picture to go by or a green light to create something unique. He’s not like the impersonal hair cutter like you get from the large hair cut chains, hes a great person who takes time to get to know his customers and is so pleasant you simply cannot avoid getting to know him. Big thumbs up Joseph!

I have been getting my hair cut by Joseph (Atilano) for 20 years. I have followed him from location to location over the years for one reason: Joseph is simply the best!
Atilano’s is located in an art gallery inside one of Orange County’s most beautiful buildings. Joseph has been at this location for several years, and it seems like he’s finally found the right place to accommodate both of his loves: painting beautiful canvases and creating great haircuts and hairstyles (he does both men’s and women’s hair).
Joseph is a true artist, with both a brush and a pair of scissors. The walls and even the ceilings are covered with his artwork. And when his patrons leave his salon, they look like works of art as well. He takes as much time as is required to achieve a result that you will love and that others will admire.
The icing on the cake: his prices are ridiculously low.

Joseph Atilano is a true renaissance man who is passionate about art and beauty! He was a pleasure to talk to and is super sweet! He has had so much experience in doing hair and now he spends hours upon hours creating beautiful works of art. If you visit his place, he will treat you well and he may even offer you some cheese and crackers because he is just that kind of guy! Whether you go to Atilano to view some amazing art or get your hair done, you will leave the place inspired! Great place! Joseph is a super nice guy and does a really good job cutting hair. He runs a small hair cutting operation out of his art gallery, which makes the hair cut much more interesting. Also, one of the best things is that his prices are really reasonable. My haircut cost $ 25, for short hair and no coloring. For a stylish cut, that’s a really good price. I’d highly recommend going here for a haircut if you’re near Santa Ana and you’re looking for a good cut and a great price. Oh, and walk-​ins are welcome — also a plus.

An amazing hair experience!!! I had my hair Atilano Salon and Art Galley by Joseph earlier this week and I have to say it was the best haircut I’ve ever had! Having curly hair can be a great challenge and I’d never been happy with the way my hair had been cut in the past. I voiced my concerns to Joseph and he did a great job giving me a light, layered, beautiful bob that makes my curls happy:)
Not only did he do a great job cutting my hair, his salon and gallery are amazing! He is so talented and has an amazing way with color. I highly recommend Atilano!

From the front this just looks like a beautiful Art Gallery. Since this is in one of my favorite buildings, I passed by many times without knowing there was a hair salon in the back. When I found out the artist cut hair too, I took my daughter there in an effort to support a local artist.
She LOOOOOVED her hair cut and style! She’s only 10 and was REALLY nervous because it was her first haircut. She can’t stop bragging about it now. It’s even given her more confidence at school, which sounds silly but it’s true and even she notices. It make sense that an artist would cut hair so good though.
I would highly recommend Joseph to ANYONE wanting a haircut! Fabulous and I’ll definitely be back to get my daughter’s hair cut again soon, and my own too!
