Couldn’t find a seat. Spotted a seat by the bar but was rudely reprimanded by a waitress. They saw me writing a review here and I was offered a seat with a smile. =*\

Karmina Restaurant & Grill has Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Cumbia, and Merengue dancing on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays. Bachata lessons start at 8:30 and Salsa lessons around 9:30. They do not have air conditioning so drinks lots of water!

My mom and I walked in for lunch while we waited for our turn in a nearby tax office. It was empty but felt cozy. I noticed that some of the table clothes were dirty but what I did not enjoy was the excsssive oil in my chip dip. HOWEVERTHEIRFOODWASGREAT! My mom and I both oddered the chiles a la diabla(shrimp sauteed in a hot red sauce) which included rice beans and a small salad for 5.99! We had wine with our order which was ice cold so o was very pleased and when I finally got past the goodness of the rice and beans, I tasted the shrimp. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was spicy enough to satisfy my cravings for hot food but it was subtle enough that you still tasted all the other spices in the sauce. Highly recommend for lunch as its quiet, private, and highly affordable at 5.99 for great food.

I ordered two fish tacos with rice and beans, which was on special for $ 5.99. The tacos were excellent, and the rice was well seasoned. For that price, the value is hard to beat. The fish tacos are the best I’ve had from any of the restaurants within walking distance. The layout of the restaurant itself is a little strange. When you walk in you are facing a long, wide hallway. The seating is in front of the bar on your left. There is a lot of empty space in the remainder of the premises. They are new, and the waitress mentioned they are still trying to figure out what they want to do with it. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

I was walking by Karmina’s and a man standing outside handed me a flier with their lunch specials. All the lunch specials were priced at $ 5.99 with drink included. The price was very appealing so I decided to check out the restaurant. The entire restaurant was empty. I was the only customer the entire time I was there. The music was blaring so I didn’t feel awkward. The waitress promptly took my drink order. I asked her what she recommended from the lunch specials. She told me her favorite was the chile relleno so I ordered it. My meal was quickly served. The rice and beans tasted good. The chile relleno was delicious. It was a very authentic Mexican chile relleno. Just like my mom. I was very pleased with my lunch at Karmina until my bill came and I was informed that they don’t take credit cards. The waitress directed me to their ATM machine which charges $ 2.50. My $ 5.99 lunch deal turned into a $ 13.00 meal(lunch, taxes, and tip). I was going to give Karmina 4 stars but because my meal turned out to be more expensive than I expected, I’ll give them a 3 stars.

I came by this restaurant thinking I was going to a chicken bowl fast lunch at the food court that used to be there. I learned that Karmina recently opened and now utilizes the entire building for themselves. Having my heart set on a chicken bowl I asked if they could make that for me for lunch. The server said«No problem» and proceeded to put in my order. Meanwhile, I looked at the menu and noticed it wasn’t listed there and wondered what I would be getting as a result… I was pleasantly surprised to be served a very nice bowl of chicken with vegetables over a bed of rice garnished with scallions. The food was piping hot and fresh and the flavors were outstanding! As delicious as it was, I could only eat half of it but took the rest to go. The price’s on the menu seemed fair and I will definitely go back. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I haven’t tried out enough of their menu yet.

Great fish tacos. Special blackened whitefish was good. Delicious desserts beautifully and artistically presented

Love it! Food is sooo good, the flat bread pizza can be a little salty but its amazing. The spring rolls taste good especially with the sweet sauce. The margaritas are strong for me but i am a lightweight. Price is fair. Not sure about parking since I walked over here. Love the atmosphere, it’s not too dressy not too casual, great art works displayed, I love the roughness of the studio style mixed restaurant, very different than most restaurants. Will definitely come back.

This is a nice restaurant that is a small mom and pop shop. They have a variety in foods and cheap compared to big time name restaurants. The specials of the day include one nice proportioned meal, soup, and a drink for only 6.99. Thats a screaming deal! so stop by and try it out. The food I give it is a 10!

As much as I would like to give this place a 3, I couldn’t. It’s a 3.5, but I’ll be nice and round up because this is a new restaurant. It used to be another Mexican place with all-you-can-eat. This place is slightly better. It’s kind of weird, because it’s a Mexican restaurant, yet it has all the English seafoods like fish and chips, fried squid and chips, etc. I ordered the beef fajita. It’s really good. Came fresh off a sizzling plate. Portions were huge. Lots of flavor. Maybe missing the lime taste a little in my opinion. The rice wasn’t that great, the beans resembled more like chili than refried beans, well let’s call it refried chili. The salad was missing dressing. The tortilla was a dry. However I’m glad they gave all that. The chips and salsa, is okay. Much better than Azteca Taquiera. The chips were fried fresh, but didn’t have the fresh taste to it because I think the oil temperature isn’t right. My friend got the fish taco, and he said the fried fish tasted like it came out of a box, but the other taco was alright. It’s a new restaurant, don’t let my review scare you away… try it out!
