It’s important to note that there’s no such thing as a 5-star buffet. As far as this place goes, the food is alright. They have a decent selection. If you have high standards when it comes to quality of food, I suggest you find another spot. Also the sushi here taste either editable, or completely taste like shit! The only good one they have is the California roll. If you have the munchies and want to pig the Fuck out to some greasy Chinese food, this place is perfect. other than that, don’t bring a date here

I thiink the price is super cheap for lunch $ 7.25. It cost $ 7.50 to go with soup. They cost less than Chinese fast food like $ 8 for 3 items. Their food is very fresh and always come out more fresh food. They have two types of fish. They have all kids of meat and vegetables. Their food is better than Lucky Chinese fast food in Fountain valley. They charge less and you get more for your money.

This buffet is not so bad, they have a lot of varieties all kinds. Teriyaki chicken, shrimp, different types of sushi they will even make a vegetable one for you. Salads are good, mixed varieties of Chinese delight. Shrimp delight with mixed vegetables excellent, steamed rice and chow mein it wasn’t bad at all the price is super reasonable. Service isn’t the best but you can get what you need. «definitely can get your grub on and be satisfied»

This is by far the most depressing restaurant I’ve ever been to. The place is dirty and the food looks gross. Would definitely not recommend!

Your standard Chinese buffet. The lunch price is especially attractive and the food is what you expect for a Chinese buffet. The food is not classy, but its acceptable. The selection is large and includes seafood and dessert.

This is an inexpensive place to eat. They have sushi and crab and crab legs. They do not have wontons or tri tip anymore. I was disappointed they took that off the menu

I feel the need to write this just to warn everyone about this place. My husband and I went to eat there because of the cheap price. He didn’t eat anything seafood, but I did. A several hours later I found myself with a horrible stomach ache nausea and diarrhea. I ended up at the emergency room at 2am. The pain was intense and the nausea and diarrhea increased. They called food poisoning. I’m sorry but it’s true. Please be careful of the seafood.

Happy Buffet is a wonderful local business that provides our seniors with a weekly meal for our diverse elders(Chinese, Vietnamese, and Latino). Many of our seniors are single and much older. They can no longer cook for themselves and Happy Buffets is a great alternative. The owner and staff are always very accommodating to our seniors requests. They are conscious to provide our members with fresh and healthy choices. The meals are delivered directly to our senior apartments. Pan fried noodles, fried rice, roast chicken, sauteed Chinese vegetables, shrimp and tofu, steamed fish filets are only a few dishes they make for our seniors. Happy Buffet also catered our community events, office meetings, and celebrations. One of the major celebrations Happy Buffet catered a selection of traditional Shanghainese dishes and they also included a free dessert — Mung Bean soup(very delicious!) to keep us cool. I highly recommend catering from Happy Buffet.

So compared to other very similar Chinese buffets around the area this one is by far a million times better but still only worth 3 stars. So yea imagine how terrible the other ones really were. The food here is actually not that bad and they do have a pretty big selection and variety of foods, even Latino, Italian, and American cuisine. Service is terrible though. This one waiter just sits there playing on his phone while dirty dishes pile up and the glasses of water remain empty. Will I come back? Only if there was nothing else available.

I’d give it two stars for its price and the varieties of food. Most of the food are cold. After I was finished, I got some chocolate ice cream for dessert but the ice cream appeared to be expired. The taste was really bitter and nasty. Knowing what to satisfy my taste, I’d probably come again but definitely would not recommend to any friends.

I’ve only been there once and don’t plan on going back ever!!! First of all their food tastes nasty, bad flavor and bad smell… very bad service. Our waiter was Asian or Chinese and the whole time he was just watching us eat, as if he didn’t want us to get a lot of food, he didn’t even give us refills until we asked him, I just had one plate with rice noodles and teriyaki chicken and a little bit of fruit… I was feeling disgusted on how the food looked so I told my husband I wanted to leave already and right when we were getting up to leave the waiter gets close to our table and says what no tip? What a jerk!!! My husband just threw a couple of dollars on the table and gave him a dirty look I told my husband we don’t have to tip him if we don’t want to, this was the last time I set foot in a Chinese buffet!!! Bad bad experience… no more Chinese food for me ever again!!!

This place is great. People need to UNDERSTANDTHECONCEPT of Chinese buffets. What you are getting is a WIDESELECTION of DECENT food INEXPENSIVELY. The food smells and tastes reasonably fresh and your stomach feels fine afterward. Are you going to get the food quality of the $ 52 Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace? No, of course not. Are you going to get Urasawa quality sushi? No, of course not. This place gets five stars based upon price, and upon a reasonable expectation of what a Chinese buffet should offer. You are getting reasonably decent tasting sushi, along with braised beef ribs, salmon filet, tilapia filet, beef & broccoli, orange chicken, salt & pepper shrimp, banana pudding, tapioca pudding, egg tarts, crawfish, chow mein, sesame balls, and about 100 other choices, for a little over $ 10. So, set your expectations accordingly. This place is as good or better than other Chinese buffets at a similar price point.

This place is just plain gross. One visit was too much. The«food» is soggy and inedible. I can deal with crappy Chinese food but this takes it to another level. I definitely didn’t feel happy after eating here.

It was the first time coming here and it was very bad. This place must be shut down ASAP. Very cold food they don’t remove old and put new on top and no flavor at all. I came here a friend invited me here. Never coming back

A great deal for the money, and much better that its competitors nearby. A good selection, fresh food, and great price– they could easily charge a few bucks more. Don’t expect gourmet– this is a budget buffet. But as far as budget buffets go, this is one of the better ones. Lots of parking, lots of seating, and great for kids too. I don’t understand all the 1-star reviews– it is way better than that. I think those people just expected 5-star dining at an $ 11 dinner buffet.

It was the first time that I’d been to Happy Buffet. The place looked not really crowded and had some choices. About the food, I’d say they were average, you could find them at some other places with better taste. But come on, it’s $ 11.99 buffet, what do you expect. The thing I don’t like about the food here was that they didn’t keep their food hot. Most of them were just a little bit warm or cold. For its price I could give it 3 stars. However, while I was eating, I found a hair string in my plate among the noodles. I’m not sure if it was human or animal hair but I didn’t want to finish the plate anymore. This would probably the last time I come to this place.

NOTGOOD, Horrible Food, What Can I say, I was Hungry for Asian Food, Thought It Would be at least Decent, but Was Incredibly Disgusted by what I Ate. Chicken Tasted like it was 3 Weeks Old, Dumplings Were Gross, and Not That Tasty. BAD Food, but this location isn’t going anywhere as there are a constant Throng of Hispanic Families that in Truth, No Offense to Them, Don’t Know What Good Or Even(Decent) Asian Food Tastes Like I Also Was Very Very Bloated the next day, Basically The Food Made Me Feel Like Shit, and To Boot, The Young Pert Asian Waitress, Was Quite Offended when I Refused to Tip, Why Would I If I am NEVERGOINGBACK! My friends and I came here for New Years, which must be the best way to break New Year’s Resolutions right? Well they had all you can eat lunch for $ 9.99 today! So when you look in, the selection of food seems decent. There were tiny crabs, crab legs, clams, oysters, classic Americanized and not so Americanized Chinese food, including orange chicken and beef broccoli. There was hot and sour soup and steam buns and different kinds of fish. There was even an «American» food section with pizza, fries, and chicken nuggets. There was also some sushi. There was a dessert area, with various desserts including soft serve, jello, and some fruit medley. So clearly, with all these options, including tiny crabs and crab legs, all for $ 9.99, this place must be a de-facto place to eat right? Well, unfortunately the food wasn’t good, and I have to say it was a bit bad. The taste of the food is passable. If I just ignore everything about the dish, I can stomach it, so the food wasn’t SO nasty that I had to spit everything out. In fact, I managed to try quite a bit of food and some of it was okay tasting, mostly what I am guessing were processed foods that already had their taste covered up(though they might have made it fresh, but I doubt it). I probably would not be back unless the quality improves greatly.
