Great service great food. Food takes longer to come out but they do give you enough chips and salsa and a cup of vegetable soup to keep you sustained. We had the guacamole and pico de gallo appetizer which needed a bit more salt and lemon to make it tastier. I had the filete de pescado a la diabla, and the spiciness did not disappoint. My aunt had the camarones a la diabla with a chipotle based sauce, which also was good. They also give you a lot of handmade tortillas to go with your meal. However, this place needs to be equipped with more staff in the kitchen especially on a Friday night since again the food does take longer than expected to come out. Also, they do take their time to bring you the check so make sure you remind them. Also if you are ordering anything to go make sure you do remind your hostess as they forgot to put in one of our orders to go. But All in all this is a great place to try out.

So someone suggested to have lunch at Costa Azul because they gave a variety of lunch specials including a soup or salad & a drink for $ 8.50. Sounded great so a group of us went to the clean, nicely decorated restaurant for lunch. We were warmly welcomed & immediately served some fresh hot chips & salsa. Our group ordered: (1) Chile Verde Plate My perfectly seasoned chile verde was served with rice, beans & handmade corn tortillas … My pork verde was so moist & delish which went well with my tortillas! (2) Chicken Tamarin A couple of my colleagues ordered this dish with breast meat seasoned in tamarin & served with rice & a broccolini salad. They really liked the dish! (3) Cheese Enchilada Two cheese enchiladas served with salad & rice & beans. My colleague really enjoyed her meal which she indicated was fresh & delish! (4) Chicken Quesadilla My colleague said his entrée was huge & delicious! (5) Tilapia Grilled tilapia served with rice & beans. My colleague said it was perfectly cooked & was yummy! (6) Chicken Fajitas Chicken Fajitas served on a sizzling plate with onions, green peppers & tomatoes. A winner dish! (7) Beef Burrito Several peeps ordered the shredded beef burrito with beans, rice & covered in sauce & cheese. They all enjoyed their lunch entrees! (8) Two Fish Tacos w/Rice & Beans My colleague enjoyed his meal which he mentioned was fresh & tasty. Costa Azul offers wonderful & great tasting lunch specials. I’m a fan! 4 Stars!

Oh no never again! Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere for good service and delicious food. I will make this rant as short as possible. Hostess didn’t bother to say anything to us and just walked us to our table of doom. The al pastor tacos were the best part besides leaving. My chicken nachos tasted like chorizo fat … Waitress didn’t bother with refills, picking up dirty dishes, giving more chips and sauce, and kept forgetting my sister’s cocktail. We seriously had to find her after her strange disappearance and give her our empty glasses. Come on now the place was not at all busy. Do your job! Cocktail arrived… In a bowl 0.0 and i tried one bite and sip and held back my puke. Ugh! No thank you, never coming back!

I have come here before and always get a quesadilla for my son and agua chilles for me they are ok … But this time i went and got tacos and chile rellenos worst mistake, the chille rellenos are toped with lots of red sauce and yellow cheese it looks nasty the sauce goes all over the rice and beans it was just a messy plate i had to return it and my son only ate the tacos… Maybey ill come back for the agua chilles.

I’ve been here twice so far, and have definitely enjoyed it! Lunch time is mellow, and staff is nice and prompt. Both times I ordered a Molcajete Ranchero style, and substituted the huilota for some more asada. I also added some nopal, which I should not have done. Our server told me they would be out of the can, and since I was just excited to have nopal in the Molcajete, I told her it was fine. Unfortunately, they had that vinegar after taste, so after putting them on one taco, I skipped out on adding them to the rest. My husband ordered ceviche de pescado. Let me tell you, he knows his seafood and he was disappointed with this plate. He says it was dry and not too flavorful. He added some huichol to make it taste better. Overall, we enjoyed our lunches and will be coming back for some more Molcajetes!

Do not recommend. Service is extremely slow and food is horrible! My mom was served a dish with burnt meat, returned and second one was not much better. My shrimp cocktail had only 4 or 5 tiny shrimp the rest was all onion, cucumber and tomato! It’s expensive, each dish is over $ 12 so I expected better food. Go somewhere else! Zero stars!

Came here to celebrate bf’s mom’s bday. Really enjoyed the experience here and the food was great as well. Very fun vibe here. Karaōke was hilarious and we even had a member of our group go up there and belt it out! The noise level is really high and we had to shout in each other’s ears. Kind of annoying but that’s how it is usually when there are any Mexican events with my boyfriend’s family(quinceaneras, parties, weddings, baptisms, etc). so I thought this is just how it is when celebrating with Mexicans. Would definitely come back… to a table further away from the speakers lol.

Not the place to have lunch if you only have 30 minutes. Came in for lunch, staff seem a little overwhelmed.. Took about 30 minutes to get a shrimp cocktail and one if their lunch plates… Cocktail was bland and food was cold.

Soooooooo, after a 12 hour day with no break. I popped in here thinking I’d have a quiet dinner for one… boy, was I wrong. Granted it’s Friday at 8:30pm, but obviously it’s a family establishment because there’s about 7 groups of patrons with the a car seat at their table. Uhm, I don’t know the units for measuring noise, but I’m sure it’s one unit below the point where your ears bleed. The 5 and under crowd don’t seem to mind and the under 1 year crowd are fast asleep in their car seats. Did I mention the noise is coming from a 5 piece wind ensemble and 2 solo artists? I can only assume that the ensemble is composed of Mexican artists given that every so often they will chant the names of Mexican states(Is Juarez and De’efe a Mexican state?) and by the amount of times«Caminos de Michoacan» has been requested. Anywhoo, what’s a girl to do? Ordered a «cubeta» of Bud Lights(‘cuz I’m a lady), a sampler plate(don’t judge me, I’m hungry) & a tostada de camaron(that’s Spanish for shrimp)… Oh yeah, rate the food you say? It sucks, the refried beans are bland, the chips(stale) and salsa(too spicy for this girl), the tostada(dry ass shrimp until I drowned it in a lethal combination of Tapatio and limeade: which I made myself by squeezing every drop of juice out of each lime destined for my beer) I’m giving this place 3 Unilocal stars. 1⁄3 star because the band took many breaks for my ears to recover, 1⁄3 because you can’t really screw up a quesadilla(but majorly failed with the beef jerky taquito), 1⁄3 because they offer beers by the pail-load &2 stars for the friendly staff(in skin tight white pants(hey, it’s not labor day yet)/prompt service/no wait time Refer to my pictures of you want to feast your eyes on my first meal here. PS– I wrote this before I finished my draaaaaaaaanks, it probably would have all tasted awesome if I was drunk… I’ll have to come back and test out this theory

This place is delicious. I tend to get the same thing I go. Tacos al presidente with carne asada. My wife n I would share camarones borrachos/aguachiles(depends which restaurant you go to, but it’s the same thing). Those are the spiciest aguachiles I’ve ever had. The chips are addicting too. Really worth a try

I come here because they make some really great beef tongue. It is tender and tasty. Not for everyone but I remember my grandmother made it and this is the only place I have found that has it. The décor reminds me of hanging down in Baja without the drug cartel.

Food is good– but in the summer, you need the AC on when you have customers. Hot sweat plus hot air equals — grumpy customer.

I come here all the time. I always get the same thing. Molcajete paisano, since I don’t like seafood. It is amazing. The meat is so good and not all fatty like most places. My favorite is the chorizo. I know authentic Mexican food and this is one of them. The servers are always a pleasure very attentive and happy to serve you. I love this place overall.

Been here a few times and always very pleased with their food selection. If you’re looking for an authentic place that serves quality Seafood(mariscos) this is your place. They start you off with some chips and salsa(free), they serve traditional drinks like horchata, Jamaica, tamarindo, and a few others. The servers are fast and friendly and their prices are well set for the type of food. Won’t be disappointed.

Came here because of their sea food. My dad loves sea food! He ordered the 7 mares soup/stew. Which was as big as his head. The stew was tasty and full of sea creatures haha the veggies were chopped neatly which we appreciate it. Compared to other places that carry this soup/stew there’s always lack of the sea food and huge chucks of veggies. So we were impressed. There beer is cheap the horchata however was very watered down. Don’t go a Sunday because they have loud ass music for karaōke which we found annoying. Will be going again for happy hour.

Great lunch specials. Includes soup or salad with drink. And on the cheap I wish this place was near my office. I was stuck at jury duty one day last week and received the only treat of the day– an hour and a half lunch break. The place is big, wasn’t too crowded and has a great lunch menu. 16 different meals with a drink and soup or salad included. Soccer game on in the back ground, spicy salsa with chips and a loaded taquito plate with a mound of guacamole. Sign me up!
