The slush was ok but the service was horrendous. The girls didn’t seem interested in good service.

Nice plate to watch sports games, drink coffee or tea, and watch girls dressed it very little clothing

Café Lu maybe the most polarizing Vietnamese Coffee Shop (certainly the most reviewed). Maybe it is the magnificent promotion on social media which leads to such high expectations and so many disappointing experiences (and reviews).
That being said, I was not a fan of Café Lu, while the waitresses are very attractive, the social experience was always empty. I definitely preferred Starz Café or Café Cat Tuong.
However, I decided to visit this past weekend and had a very positive experience.
They had 5 very lovely waitresses on staff and they were all attentive and two were very sociable with me. This was a vast improvement over previous visits. However, It seems they attempt to cater to bigger groups as it seems the larger groups always had a waitress at their table.
Nonetheless, I had a very enjoyable experience socializing with two very pretty ladies.
So if you would like to have a good time, Café Lu is certainly a worthwhile stop. But if you want a great time, bring some alcohol and a group of friends and those beautiful waitresses may never leave your table.

I am a sucker for pretty girls so I was defintely interested to try this place out after seeing their social media accounts (ig, fb, etc) The only thing stopping me from going there sooner was the distance. It’s not that close to me. I had tried Café Lotus (now closed) in Gardena and thought that this place would be like Café Lotus but bigger and better. Boy, was I wrong. The girls at Café lotus were very friendly and even sat at my table for a little which wasn’t the case at Café Lu not even small talk.
So my adventure started on a weekday and I arrived around 4:30pm. It was very slow, barely anyone there and only 1 girl working at the time. I was a little hungry so I tried to order food. Also, I was dissapointed they didnt have any energy drinks. The first thing I tried to order corndogs, they didn’t have then I tried to order fries, they didn’t have it. So now I am thinking let’s make this easy so I ask what do you have, the girl said buffalo wings. I say ok, and order it even though I don’t really like buffalo wings because I know it gets messy. The wings were a little bit cold in the middle. Around 5 pm another girl came. The girls weren’t really friendly like I had hoped even though the place was slow.
I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you live close by. If you live far, just go to a strip club if you want to see girls. This place truly dissapointed me after seeing all thier pics on social media. There is a lot of things this place can improve on like actually having the food items on their limited menu, getting energy drinks and teach the girls to be friendlier. I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the girls are cute and the place has the potential to be 4 or 5 stars one day.

Why is it always so cloudy in here? I never really understood the hype about coffee shops to begin with. The prices for drinks are ridiculously high, there really isn’t anything to do there other than play cards, watch some sports games and hang out with chicks in skimpy outfits. With that being said, Café Lu is one of the more popular ones in town. Its so big they even have a logo on their glasses and bottles and all that.
I’ve had a couple of chick friends actually work here before. Yeah it is a bit weird coming in here when they are working but they said come support em I guess. All the homies really love this shop a lot because its built quite a name for itself. I wouldn’t come on the regular but sometimes when the crew wanna kick it this might be a hang out spot.
Yes you pretty much have to get something on the menu. Otherwise they just get pissed off at you. Like I said, the drinks are pretty pricey but its whatevers I guess. Its located inside the same complex as that one Mickey D’s. Just be warned though that theres a heavy amount of cigarette being smoked here so don’t come through if you have some weak lungs.

Everything bad started with the operation hours. Open at 10am .Came around 12 pm not open yet. Outrageous prices. Cashier (co owner) customer services attitude. Only thing good is parking because the place is empty compared to other crowded viet café around. Went there, boring not used to be some years ago. Go to cafe168. See some same x– Lu waitresses but different is $ 5 coffee why pay more for better services right!

DON’T GO HERE. This place doesn’t care about customers and the owners and managers are just bad business people.
We drove pretty far because this place had a reputation and we wanted to check it out for a friend’s birthday.
When we got there at 10:30pm, they said they were closed, even though their Unilocal page says 11:00pm. We couldn’t even call to confirm because they list the wrong phone number. I talked to the manager about the phone number being wrong and he said, «Yeah.», in a way that implied he didn’t care and he wasn’t going to do anything about.
From reading more reviews from both men and women, we probably didn’t miss out on much.
Sorry, Café Lu, we wanted to give you a chance, but you aren’t helping yourself.
You should rename yourself Café Lusers, because you lost 4 customers.

This is just a typical coffee shop. I felt like I’ve been to better coffee shops than this. Their jackfruit smoothie tasted like shit. It took them over 30 min just to make one smoothie when it wasn’t even busy. I could have just gone to Jamba Juice for a cheaper and high quality smoothie. Lol people just come for the pretty girls even though my server was just OK looking

This place is just a run down coffee shop with girls in bikinis who are stuck up. The iced coffee was just filled w lots of condensed milk. I wasn’t impressed at all. We got the worst service ever, literally in and out in less than 15 minutes. We will never be back…

I’ve been to several Vietnamese Coffee shops and Café Lu blows all of them out if the water. The smoothies and iced tea were bomb and our server TAMMY 2 was the shit, she was super happy and a fruit connoisseur which definitely helped me narrow down the choices to my strawberry banana smoothie. The other server had my heart when she started playing all my old school slaps though, not gunna lie I just wanted to take her home. After a long stressful day at work this place turned my mood around and made me a happy camper. Highly recommended and don’t forget to tip!!!

Being familiar with the import car scene and having been to SpoCom, Motion and AutoFest, I’ve heard about this place and wanted to check out what the hype was all about. I went with a couple of buddies to watch the end of the Warriors-​Thunder game on a Thursday night.
First off, this place is not family-​friendly for obvious reasons. The waitresses are all dressed in bikinis, lingerie, thongs, etc.
Second, hide your wallets! For real though, before we even sat down, the waitress had poured us jasmine tea (more like water with a hint of jasmine and lots of ice), which we later got charged for. I’ve never been to another place that charges $ 3 for [basically] water that you never even asked for. On top of that, steak fries cost $ 7. But, that’s how they get you.
The best thing is that they have flat screen TVs around the perimeter of the store, so it’s a good for watching sports games. Also, all the waitresses are really attractive, but I personally hate when people suck up to you just to get something (in this case a tip). With that being said, our waitress Jess, was pretty chill. I probably would not return to this place due to the prices, but it was a cool place to check out once.

Second time visiting, on a Sunday afternoon, 25% full restaurant. Had a friendly greeting and orders came out quickly. They are good at timely refills. Few girls came and chatted with our party for about 45mins or so. The ones we talked to were down to earth and friendly. I would revisit some time soon.

$ 7 to have a scantily clad waitress bring u a very light smoothie full of ice. I asked to take a pic of waitress, she wanted $ 20.
Place was empty and all the other waitresses huddled in the corner talking to their friends.
Many TVs which was a plus but no subtitles despite the crappy pop music drowning everything out and screens being far.

Quote from friend, «do you think that you’re so hot that you can’t make coffee.» We were served black sludge and a strange version of tea. Women were not very friendly. Coffee shops are definitely unique spaces in Little Saigon and very interesting for people watching. The servers are primarily 2^nd generation Vietnamese with a couple recently arrived Vietnamese. Coffee shops are one of the few places in Little Saigon that crosses multiple generations in one space. You have elder former Vets playing cards, young college students, couples, guys with crazy expensive cars parked front. Anthropologically– it’s fascinating!

Came to check out this place for the novelty of it, which is the girls serving coffee in lingerie and underwear/​bras. We ordered the Vietnamese style coffee which was not great for the $ 6 price tag, but are you really going there for the coffee? Don’t think so. The place didn’t smell of smoke overwhemingly like it did 6 years ago when I first checked this place out and they have definitely gotten hotter/​better looking girls. It’s darker and filled with TV screens to watch sports.
Service was good, they were very nice sweet girls and brought us water right away and brought out our order also quickly. I’d definitely say they were very pretty and had great bodies, great if you go with a bunch of dudes but since I’m a girl they didn’t seem to pay too much attention to our table like they were to the other tables with just guys at them.

Café Lu — Pretty ladies serving you fruity smoothies and crispy sandwiches in sexy lingeries. What could be wrong?
Their «smoothies» are the equivalent to homemade slushes, except they cost 8 $ each. Overall, these smoothies were watery along with little taste.
Although Café Lu is not known for their food, the pictures do live up to the tale, except the furniture and chairs crate an unfriendly environment. This location does not feature any nice décor or even tables that isolate your group from another.
All in all, I would only recommend someone to go here once. Otherwise the staff does not justify the cost and quality.

P. S. they charge you $ 4 for «tea» if you don’t order anything. Also they do not tell you tea cost money, while handing it to you right when you sit down.

Hot girls in bikini serve drinks is definitely site to see! Girls were hot but the atmosphere was depressing.
We were expecting Friday to be a busy fun night at Café Lu but ended to be a boring slow night for them. One of biggest turn off is the smoking smell. The signs on the wall clearly wrote, «NO SMOKING.» However, there were customers smoking in the back and a male employee smoking behind the counter.
Overalls, the girls are good looking and they sure know how to work in 7 inches heels! You go girls! We were greeted and seated by a friendly lady with big racks. A slim lady ordered our drinks. And a well curvy lady in skimpy black bikini refilled our teas. Also apparently there was one girl napping in the corner. None of them stopped by to chitchat with us. I think our female presents may created some intimidation?
Moving onto our drinks. I ordered a simple strawberry smoothie. It was smooth with chunk of stawberry which is how I like my drink. My husband said his black Vietnamese coffee was decent. The only complain was our friend’s girlfriend’s Pennywort juice. She explained it was over blend so it tastes more bitter. I am not even going to act like I understand that. I never heard Pennywort in my life.
Basically we just chitchatted for a hour and left. To me, Café Lu was an awkward and boring experience. One of our friend told us to checkout Café M Cutie next time.

I found myself drinking and eating in Little Saigon with a group of co-​workers when someone in the group insisted we try a «Viet Coffee House». I didn’t understand what that notion implied and begrudgingly went along wondering why we wanted coffee at 9pm on a Friday night. How little did I know…
As I walked in I got a rush of stale cigarette smoke in the air and then wondered why all of the Asian men were drinking coffee and chilling on their laptop computers, seemingly bored. Then I noticed scantily clad attractive women (mostly Asian) were walking around in bikini’s and rocking stripper heels while serving cofee. All I could muster in my head was «what the hell is this?». We sat down and the women in the group all ordered coffee, I asked for a beer but was told they did not have a license to serve, which only added to my confusion. I capitulated and ordered a coffee.
The coffee was actually quite good, and my god was it ever strong. I didn’t get the check so I cannot speak to the value. They have music playing in the background and numerous flat screens on the walls playing local sports… and that is about it. I pretty much insisted we go to another bar and continue the evening elsewhere. I saw no point in being there for any reason.
Café Lu is an awkward mash up of a dry sports bar, strip club and a coffee house. I doubt I would return but if you like coffee served by half naked women, this is your spot.

Living in Hawaii, a number of the Café Lu girls come down to work in the bars. I mean come on, who wouldnt want to come to Hawaii to make some easy money ;) lol
I always heard about this place from different people, so of course it was on top of my list when I came to Cali!
I was surprised to see how large the venue was. They had tons of tables and large TVs playing the clippers game. I can see how guys must love it here.
The girls are definitely pretty! I dont mind getting served some viet coffee from ladies in lingerie. I also noticed that the girls work in high heels (looks good, but that sucks~!)
The coffee was alright.
