The absolute best dining experience my wife and I have had in years! The atmosphere is great the food is amazing and the cost is reasonable. My wife had the veal while I had the most accurately cooked medium well new York strip. Usually it’s either too rare or over cooked but this was perfect. Prior to our main course we shared th clams and mussels which were also cooked to perfection and soaking in a sauce so delicious you could eat it as a soup after you polished off the shellfish. After all of this we had to try the dessert to get a well rounded idea of how awesome this place is. I ordered the chocolate cake and my wife had«the cake» which of you like lemon desserts you will love this. We also had to share a tieramasu. Just awesome!

We came upon this place on a whim while deciding what to eat. It was a busy Saturday night, but we only waited maybe 10 minutes. The calamari we had was ok, not great. The pastas were definitely the highlight of the meal! We’ll be back for the pasta for sure, but the appetizers and desserts were not our favorites. The tiramisu was awesome, but the chocolate cake left something to be desired.

I’ve been a fan of this place since it opened years ago in Sandy. Great family establishment and excellent food. Bread wonderful, pizza so good and I love their salads. Mostly I love the friendly and very dedicated staff to providing an exceptional experience. Great place for lunch or dinner!

Always good food and good service. We always come back here. It’s a usual place for us. The bratta caprese is delicious. The owner is always here and great! No matter what we eat we love it. And they have gluten free options.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. It was quiet and private in the back corner table. A little awkward when we arrived, the server at the door mumbled«Hi», then the Manger asked is how many in our party. Two of us ordered Italian sodas and they were okay. The water glasses were never empty! The menus are a little odd for a fine dining restaurant. Laminated with a wooden board back and metal rings holding it all together. The server recommended the acorn squash soup which was delicious and the tomato soup was also very good. My son commented on the«tanginess«, explaining he does not prefer a sweet tomato soup. The salads came with sliced bread, which was a soft and chewy baguette. Disappointing. I prefer a crusty Italian bread in an Italian restaurant. The marinara served alongside for dipping was delish. The marinara was also for dipping the calamari, which unfortunately were overcooked which left them rubbery and greasy. My Caesar salad was made with frisee greens which was delicious and something I am going to try at home! Super salty aged parmigiano, too. Yum. The entrée was a squash ravioli in browned sage butter with toasted pine nuts. This was very good as the ravioli were toasted on top which meant they were not soggy with browned butter. The toasted pine nuts were overly browned, almost burnt but I prefer them that way. The prices are reasonable for scratch made food. A little more attention to detail will make this a 4 star review for me.

This restaurant is relatively close to my work, so my co-workers and I frequent quite often. To say the least, I love Fratelli’s. If I could eat here everyday, I would. They have a nice variety of Italian food, and make it with their own twist. I’ve never had food that’s tasted quite like theirs. Whether it be their Sicilian Citrus Arugula salad, the Turkey Pesto Panini, the Fratelli Pizza, or even The Cake for desert, you cannot go wrong. And not to mention, the owner Dave is a great guy and genuinely cares about his customers and their experience at Fratelli’s.

The BEST Marinara ever! One of my wife’s favorite places when we are together in SLC. Decent wine selection, good service. The lasagna & gnocchi is amazingly good for an out of the way location.

It’s just so hard to find good Italian places in the southern Salt Lake valley. Fratelli is definitely one of the better ones. The food is just OK, and doesn’t make it stand out compared to Macaroni Grill.

Today’s lunch here was wonderful. This family owned restaurant offers freshly prepared meals in a open yet nicely decorated space. Especially liked the copper on the table tops. The bread was clearly baked very recently, and though the Minestrone was more basic than any we’d experienced before(it was a clear broth with onion, celery, and bell pepper, and no tomato or pasta), it had a robust flavor. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Lasagna were both delicious, and the portions plenty big for lunch.

Wow, I’m surprised that some people have left poor reviews. The food is authentic and amazing. The portions are filling and I can’t wait to come back. Please understand this is not a corporate restaurant. That’s my favorite part about it.

Hubby took me here for my birthday and it was a pleasant surprise. It’s located in a strip mall and from the front it’s just kinda there. But inside, it was way cute and nice. It’s run by two brothers and they are doing it right. We started with the Arancini appetizer which is described as Sicilian fried rice balls; roasted red pepper walnut pesto sauce, arugula-orange pesto, & whipped honey ricotta. It was colorfully presented and quite delicious. I had the halibut special for dinner, It had a caper sauce and came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I’m not an asparagus fan so they happily substituted carrots for me. Hubby had the veal marsala which he said was very good. I didn’t taste it as I don’t eat veal. We both got a dessert; I had the lemon cheesecake and he had a raspberry cake. Service was stellar. Our server was very nice and very attentive. 5 stars all the way

This restaurant is sort of all over the place. Hit and miss is the phrase that comes to mind, when I think about Fratelli. It’s really close to being a 5-star resto, but it’s just as close to being a 2-star joint. As for the service, I’ll give them 4 stars. It would have been 2, but I’m giving them some leeway, due to the understandable problems caused by a party of 40 arriving shortly before us. The staff was clearly struggling to keep up with everything, but they all did an amazing job, given the circumstances. I would give the ambiance 3.5 stars. It’s pretty and modern. Dimly lit and obviously very clean and well-maintained. It’s also noisy. It’s basically 1 giant room, with high ceilings, which gives it an echo-chamber effect. The most inconsistent part of our experience was the food. We started with the Calamari and it was probably the worst I’ve ever had. It was extremely tough and chewy. Waaaayyy overcooked, but the breading was tasty, as was the sauce. 2 stars for the app. The bread they served was stale. Almost like biscotti. 2 stars. I had the house made pasta(tagliatelle) and it was amazing! The combination of pasta and sauce was dynamite. 5 stars! The chicken I paid $ 3 extra to add to the house-made pasta… blah. It was clearly NOT cooked in the sauce. It was added at the last minute and I could tell. There was absolutely no seasoning on the chicken and it was just diced boneless/skinless breast meat. I would certainly skip the addition, next time. Lisa had the chicken piccata and it was damn good. The chicken breast was fresh off the bone and was super juicy, tender and delectable. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce, but she liked it a lot. Overall entrée rating… 3 stars. A few tweaks would make it 5 stars. The side salads were simple, but fresh and crisp. The dressing were fantastic. 4 stars. You can buy drinks… REAL drinks… from the bar, while you wait for your table, which is awesome! 5 stars. There is a lot to love about Fratelli. I’ll certainly be back to give them another try and I really hope they tighten things up a bit. This place could be stellar.

Food was mediocre. Best part was the bread, even then they only served your 4 tiny slices. Pizza was mainly bread with a little cheese in the center the pizza consisted of all crust. It was good crust, but I wanted a pizza. I even asked for butter for the pizza. Pasta was a touch over cooked. House dressing was good. Waitress was awkward and even walked up to the table with her arms crossed which is not very welcoming. Another time she almost sat on the floor when she was speaking with us. When she slated the specials she did a good job making them sound boring and bland. Maybe a smile and more enthusiasm for the food would be good. Service was bad. Were 2 parties of people in whole place and all the waitresses and waiters were flirting in the kitchen I had to grab someone else’s attention to get our food boxed and get the check.

They were alright. Food was bland though. We had to ask for a side of garlic in order to spice up the pasta. I’d prefer michaelangelo’s.

Definitely Utah Italian, but the family definitely takes pride in what they do. The linguini with fresh clams is the best item on the menu. They make the meatballs and sausage in house, and they are HUGE. Who in lazy America, especially Utah still makes sausage in house? That’s pretty impressive and it’s pretty good. You will not go home hungry.

The best Italian food I have had in a long time. Love the bread. Boyfriend got the lasagna and I got a steak. Neatest thing. They brought out a glass with the smoke in it and stuck Rosemary in the glass. The aroma made the steak taste that much better! Defiantly will return. The only issue I had was the waitress. I normally don’t pay in cash but I had to that day cause of fraud on my card and she gave me the most horrible time about it. And had a really poor attitude. Made me not want to do my normal 20% but still did.

Meh. It wasn’t gross but it wasn’t impressive either. Took some time for the waiter to arrive & tend to us; he was busy with a large party of drinkers(thus a bigger check vs. our non-alcohol threesome). Seemed like we got leftover bread pieces because they were dry and random(we saw other tables getting baskets of all one kind of bread, we got two different kinds). The carbonara has great pancetta, tastes fine, but I could make it at home(I go out to eat to have what I can’t easily make). Minestrone soup was okay(Carrabba’s is zestier), the tomato-basil soup was more tomato sauce and nothing special(Cravings Bistro in Pleasant Grove wins for tomato-basil soup). The shrimp in the Fettuccine Alfredo was really good. My Honey Balsamic Chicken Salad was alright but the cubes of chicken weren’t as tasty as I expected from the description and it needed more Bleu cheese. We were recommended to come here by locals, but think Zupas would’ve been tastier/better value and we don’t like to go there.
