I’ve been trying various salons around Sandy Springs/Perimeter and haven’t found my go-to place yet. My latest try-out was Spring Nails. It is in the corner of the shopping center at Johnson Ferry and Roswell Rds which has the Trader Joes. It is fairly new — in fact this spot used to a hair salon. This is a smaller nail salon, with 6 adult pedicure chairs, 1 cute kids one, and maybe 4 or 5 manicure tables. When I came at weekday lunchtime, there were 3 employees present. This salon is owned and run by Koreans, whereas the vast majority of Atlanta nail salons are Vietnamese owned and operated. They advertise a $ 25 mani & pedi special, and I would love to try it sometime, but my feet are rough and I always have to spring for callous remover treatment, so I went with the $ 35 spa pedicure and a regular manicure. I’m very picky and senstivie about cuticles or ingrown nails being cut. They didn’t hurt me, unlike some other places I’ve visited. As far as service, one lady was very polite and talkative, the other seemed kind of gruff but I chalk that up to lack of English language ability. They both did a good job on my hands and feet. They did try to up sell me, which I declined, but I find that experience in every single nail salon. My skin and nails looked and felt great afterwards. I chose a dark color polish and it was applied evenly and neatly. I enjoyed the experience and would likely come here again. Not sure if it’ll be my #1 spot, but I do like it.

SPECIALMANIPEDI $ 25 PEDICURE Their chairs are nice with the spa water but that’s about where the niceness ends. I don’t need a lot of fancy stuff but I want to at least have some attention to detail in cutting my cuticles. Less than 10 minutes were spent on my cuticles and cleaning and she barely looks at what she’s doing. The massage was a fast scrub and hot towel that took about 2 minutes. They put two coats on my toes which I was happy with. MANICURE Better than the pedi but just as fast, if not faster. She did a good job on one hand but other still had a lot of cleanup needed. UPSELL I can’t stand them. Don’t do it. The upsell to me wasn’t that bad because I shot it down fast but to the ladies next to me, it was nonstop. COLORSELECTIONWALL isn’t bad. They have Essie and Opi colors and the other shelf has brands I don’t know. If you do the $ 25 mani pedi it might be worth it if you want to get in and out real fast. However, I prefer to go to Q nails on Roswell. They spend quality time on the cleaning and massage for almost same price with check-in discounts.
