Star 34 Restaurant

Skirt steak and eggs for breakfast, I ordered the steak medium rare, half of it was raw, half well done and not even close to edible. Horrible food, won’t be back and a bit on the dirty side as well.

Star 34 has good diner food, not too greasy and very reasonable prices for the large portion sizes. The staff are always so nice, I can’t recall ever having bad service. The only reason I give 3 stars is the cleanliness is questionable… the interior is very outdated and unfortunately you have to walk past the service station where they prepare drinks to get to the restroom — let me tell you, it is not pretty. Poorly lit, doesn’t look particularly clean and if that is how they keep the area that is visible to the public, I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. The bathroom is also always dirty… every time I’m there. But, like I said, I’ve never had a problem with the food — I was just not appetized by the peek into the food/​drink prep area.
