stopped by for a quick lunch on a Wednesday. casual table conversations, music downs most of the conversation. nice full bar. welcoming and friendly staff

Stopped there for a late lunch. Service was great. I had the tuna steak. It was delicious. My wife had the grilled cheese sandwich and chili. I tried it and that was delicious. We’ve been there a couple times now and we would be happy to go back.

Amazing burgers– ½ pound, good crispy char on the outside, still juicy. Brioche and pretzel buns. Fried pickles and mushrooms are fresh to order, not frozen. Loaded potato wedges are ridiculously good.

The restaurant is very nostalgic and the food is wonderful. BUT … One waitress is particular is a complete smart ass. Whom I totally avoid if I return. I wish I knew her name but she worked today 11÷4÷15 in the afternoon, 20 something, dark hair, and crazy eyeliner.
Hopefully management will be able to figure who she is before she drives too many customers away.
Apparently I walked to close to her on the way to the bathroom and she said «wow! Just barrel me over why don’t ya!» All in and snarly voice and scowl.

Excellent service, great food. Their specialty burger, apple, carmel, bacon burger was terrific! Loved the homemade apple slaw too. The ambiance of being in an old rail car was really nice too. Definitely recommend!

The Bull Moose is amazing. Food is good, service is friendly. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever tried here. Great place for families or for a date.

Bread 10 Circuses 10 Jolie 10 ½ Love Love Love the Bull Moose! Second visit today as good if not better than the first. This time it was the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had. I lucked out with Jolie as my server. This is the place to eat after checking out the antiques at the Oldtimers Mall. Win Win

Who knew a burger with apples, caramel, cheese, and bacon would be so dang delicious? It totally was! The mastermind behind that combination must have been crazy but that craziness works together beautifully and delicious. Yum. Oh and they have the best fried pickles I have ever had in my life.

I’m only giving two stars because I’ve been here before and it was alright. I’ve currently been sitting at a table in the pub area for almost 15 minutes and have yet to be greeted by an employee. I’ve seen multiple patrons be seated and orders taken but I must be a ghost because it seems the staff has no clue I’m here despite eye contact made with several employees. I’ve been in food service for over 14 years and have never treated even the worst patron this way! There is no visible «wait to be seated» sign. Not coming back here until owners change!

Food was good, prices decent and very pleasant wait staff.

Amazing food, insanely delicious Cuban sandwiches and we ordered the baked mac and cheese appetizer for the kids. I’d eat the food over and over again.
But– the service was lacking the level of charm and speed you might hope for. Our waitress apparently had more important things to do than check in our table. Very quick at each visit almost gone before she actually said anything to us. I at one point actually wondered what it was about us that gave the impression we didn’t deserve the attention her bar tables received?
Also we were seated and ordered about 15 minutes prior to any other guest being seated, yet we all got our food at the same time? Another feeling of being a bit forgotten.
Ultimately I’d likely be back, but at least now I know not to arrive hungry because I’ll likely wait awhile for the waitress! But the food is worth it.

They have very hearty burgers (I had their caramel apple burger). The staff was nice & served us quickly. I would like to try out their wings next time

Went on a Monday. Got the daily special, ½ lb burger with fries for five dollars and a 10 oz coors light for a dollar. Excellent deal and decent food. The atmosphere is what makes this place. Where else can you eat inside an train car from the early 1900’s? Clean environment and friendly staff also makes this place a winner.

Had fish and chips and Guinness in the train car Teddy Roosevelt traveled in during is presidential campaign. It’s a unique icon in the center of Sandwich. Completely remodeled bar. Great food, perfectly prepared. But not just the food but the beer. They really know the proper method of serving a Guinness, pouring it slow and sure. Anyone visiting the Sandwich fairgrounds needs to stop by for a unique experience

Just moved too sandwich looking for a good place to eat and drink as I eat out every night the food is good wait people were friendly and service was good except for nights I eat at bar and I found out the bartender who is the oweners son he acted rude gave a tuff guy attitude atire being part of a family was very poor very oversized jeans and playing around with other employees as I said food was great but would not eat there again when that bartener works and would not recomend vist when he is there others at bar also said he was always rude. He could very well be down fall of family bussness customer service is everything !!!

fries were cold and Burger was ok. Staff stated they no longer can make the corned beef sandwich, but they still have the Rueben sandwich. WTH? Most likely First and last time for me.

I participated in a 5K event in Sandwich over the weekend and this place was generous enough to give a free beer to participants who come in with their wristbands after the event.
Free Beer??? I’m in!
Well, if you’re going to promote something like free beer, make sure you’re fully staffed to serve the crowd. I’ve never even been out to sandwich so just the fact they were around and advertising their place, not being familiar with the area I would have probably stopped there anyway to eat after.
The place was about 60% full when we got there. There was «Please Wait to be Seated» sign at the door. After waiting over 10 minutes with the staff working and just looking at us standing there we decided to seat ourselves. There were a few tables open so we did. It took even longer for a waitress to come around and give us menus. After that was smooth sailing but the place was PACKED. We got there at a perfect time… the line was out the door, people were just sitting anywhere and everywhere in the place.
The prices are reasonable and the food was decent but seriously… if you’re throwing a promo out there for an event, make sure all hands are on deck that day!

This was a covenient place for a week-​end lunch after an early afternoon of antiquing in Sandwich. We got to sit in the half of the restautant that’s constructed from a Pullman train car.
As to the food, the steak bites sandwich was tasty: the bourbon marinade was really evident, but if the «bites» had been substituted with strips (cheesesteak style) it might have made it a bit less tough.
For dessert, baked strawberry pie was aces and unusual; you don’t see it on too many menus these days either.
Overall, I say bully for you, Bull Moose, for providing us an enjoyable and relaxing meal after a day of shopping in Sandwich.

Great bar and restaurant. This restaurant is actually attached to a piece of history, which is a train car build in 1893. Came here on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t crowded. The place is nicely decorated and has a pool table. There’s also an outdoor seating area to enjoy the nice weather. The service was great as the waitress was attentive and friendly. The owner even came outside to great us after we placed our order.
I got the special of the day, which was a patty melt with fries for $ 7. It doesn’t appear on the regular menu, so it might just be available on Wednesdays. Tasty patty (had mine cooked medium) topped with cooked onions. They have daily food and drinks specials and a separate dessert menu.

My family and I went here for Lunch on Memorial Day weekend. Showed up a bit early and split a bucket of beer with my dad while we waited for the rest of the family to arrive. The bartender was nice and the beer was cold. That’s a good start. The atmosphere was good and I liked the layout of the place too.
Everyone finally arrived and we switched over to our table and the waitress was very prompt. I was not displeased with the food either! The bosco sticks were tasty, their broccoli cheddar soup was AMAZING and the cuban sandwich was delicious as well. Their cheesecake was even good!
Overall it’s a smaller menu but to call it typical ‘bar food’ would be wrong. Everyone enjoyed their orders and do yourself a favor and order the mac’n’cheese! Comes with breading on top and bacon bits., Awesome!
