Sandusky Clean Scene

First to admit, I had not been in a coin laundry in a number of years. My son is a broke college kid working at Cedar Point for the summer. On a recent visit, went with him to do his wash. This is a really clean, safe, nice facility with free wifi and great machines. He did probably two week of clothes for $ 7 in less than an hour

Please be aware that the express wash here is only soap sprayed on, 1 brush on each side of the car and a rinse. There are no brushes used for the front of the car, windshield or back of the car. To have brushes used during the wash, you must upgrade to the next level. Felt like I wasted $ 5, which included $ 1 for «spot free» rinse. Since everything is automated, including payment, there is no way to know which wash actually would clean my car.

This is a review of the laundromat part, though they also have a carwash, dogwash, and a cash4gold place?
PROS: I’ve never been to a laundromat before, so I was expecting something sort of grimey. but this place is VERY clean. It looks new. The location is nice– right on Milan Road (across from the mall). Lots of washing machines and dryers (3 kinds– 25 lb load, 30 lb, or 50 lb). Plenty of seating or folding space. Reasonable price– for a 30 lb washer (which they say holds 3 baskets of laundry, though I doubt that) it cost $ 3.50. The huge 50 lb machines were like $ 4−5/load, but they’re supposed to hold like 8 baskets of laundry. The dryer was only like $ 0.25 /​10 minutes. Both washer and dryer work really fast. The washer takes only 26 minutes. The dryer on medium heat completely dried my clothes in 26 minutes.
CONS: Very busy (on a Sunday at least), wi-​fi didn’t work well. Also the machines don’t take coins (you need to put money on some sort of card that you swipe on the machines. you can buy the cards there with either cash or visa/​master card). Not a big deal, just one extra step.
I’ll probably be back. Next time I’ll bring my coffee and a book with me since I know the wi-​fi is slow.

We were vacationing at Cedar Point and stopped here to do some laundry. It was very nice and clean. About as good as a laundromat gets. Oddly, it also has a car wash and dog wash too. The whole building is newly built.
