We had a big breakfast so we decided to skip lunch and have ice cream instead and I’m so glad we did! First– the décor in here is great! It’s fun and unique. Most importantly– the ice cream is so good! They let us try samples first. The waffle cones are fresh and delicious. They have a great variety of flavors to choose from. I highly recommend this place!

TRYTHEAFFAGATOICEDCREAM! My wife and I tried Panhandle right when it opened as we were still living in Sandpoint. Every flavor was delicious and interesting. We tried the huckleberry iced cream as well as a unique one I think it was a pepper jelly iced cream… So unique, so delicious. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Our party of four visited on Memorial Day. Even though quite crowded the staff was very diligent and the lines moved quickly. The ice cream was heavenly bursting full of flavors with just the right texture. This is the best ice cream I’ve had in quite a while. We tried it on the recommendation of one of my daughters and we were pleasantly surprised. The only problem, when you enter the building the aroma of the coffee is so delightful it makes choosing the ice cream very difficult. Do I have ice cream do I have expresso or do I have both?

This place is a gem! After a recent visit to Portland’s FANTASTIC Salt and Straw ice cream shop, I didn’t think this place could compare, but I was wrong. The ice cream is really good! Unique flavors, cozy place, super cute and friendly staff who look straight out of a Disney musical. Live that they let you order a split scoop(2 flavors to make up just one scoop). The only teeny let down was the waffle cones werent as fresh as Salt and Straws(but there they literally roll them right in front of you). Best part was when the guy told us all hush-hush and on the down low, as we were eating, that they have ‘secret’ adult flavors they don’t advertise on the menu. He gave us a sample of ‘something– something– burbon’(cant remember exactly), and it was quite good. I will ask for it next time. Love this place!

We love Panhandle Cone & Coffee. So so much. My kids beg to go here all the time. The décor is cute, staff is friendly… but the ice cream is why you come. We absolutely love the flavors, and so much is made in house. Love getting the Salted Caramel Brown Butter Cookie ice cream as an Affagato — espresso poured over. I have a hard time ordering something else, honestly. I think about it sometimes when I am out and about… just calling to me. Here’s the rub — and honestly I would deduct half a star for this… it is PRICEY. It’s definitely a «treat» and not a regular ice cream spot for us.

Visited on a recent trip to Sandpoint. I got the huckleberry and buttercream ice cream in a small cup because the flavor was unique to the region(I live in Texas currently; no huckleberries for us!). It was SO good! My dad got the chocolate and pecan flavor which I tried a bite of, and it was excellent as well. I love that they offer small samples of flavors before you purchase, so you’re able to taste test and get a flavor you really enjoy. The store employee informed customers ahead of us in line that they could combine flavors if getting 2 or more scoops(yum!). The ice cream was excellent and I loved the merchandising and branding of the store and the icicle tricycle. I’ll definitely be making a trip back on my next visit to Sandpoint!

I had the cinnamon roll and B had the sticky bun. Very tasty. They only make them certain days and the schedule varies, but always on Saturday!

It was evening time and my tummy was craving some sweets big time. I Unilocaled desserts and found this place and decided to give it a try. The server allowed me to try several flavors and the hardest part of my experience was choosing only two. I’m pretty overweight right now, and I’ve been attempting to change that– if it wasn’t for that I honestly would have had a scoop of everything. I ended up with one scoop of vanilla, and one scoop of dark chocolate. I was literally in Heaven. When I got to the last few bites, I started to get sort of pissed, because I knew it was coming to an end. This place makes all the ice cream and all the other stuff in house, and it’s legit. The best ice cream I’ve had in the United States. I’m serious.

When we walked in the store we were hit by the wonderful smell of fresh cookies being baked. The ice cream is all made on the property and very fresh with so many delicious flavors. The young woman working the counter is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed chatting with her. We all enjoyed what we got which was the buttermilk huckleberry, salted caramel brown butter cookie and one scoop of chocolate, one scoop of coffee and two shots of espresso. Yum! There were so many delicious flavors to choose from.

Panhandle Cone & Coffee was another fantastic discovery in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. My boyfriend challenged me to take him somewhere he has never been, and I sneakily found out that PC&C opened within the last year and he had not visited yet. The kid working was extremely patient, and let us sample a bunch of different flavors before we finally decided. Trust me, it is a tough call when you have that many options! Every flavor we tried and the ones we ultimately selected were outstanding. Panhandle Cone & Coffee crushes the artisan ice cream, and freshly made waffle cones to boot.

Great place! Excellent local flavors. Wonderfully crafted. Free samples to find the perfect flavor. Recommend the orange with chocolate or the salted Caramel & brown butter cookie. Also wild flower honey/lavender and peppermint fudge are winners. Can’t wait to try the s’mores flavor.

We tried to come here today but it was«maintenance day» so they were sadly closed. As we were peering inside at the cool décor, the owner saw us and came smiling to the door. He invited us inside for an exclusive tasting. The ice cream was unbelievable. Being from the bay area where there are tons of exclusive boutique ice cream shops, this ice cream topped them all. And the best part was that the owner was so friendly and nice that he was willing to go out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. We left as very happy customers and cannot wait to get back to Sandpoint to taste some more!

There was a heat advisory warning the weekend I was visiting Sandpoint so it was blazing hot. What do you want when its 40+ degrees out? Yeah exactly, you want to jump into the water in your birthday suit — what else do you want? Cold cold ice cream. Panhandle Cone & Coffee is located in the heart of downtown Sandpoint and its super easy to find. There is a lot of street parking. My gf and I were walking the streets of Sand Point when we saw a few ice cream places. Panhandle caught my eye because their ice cream is handcrafted… and there was a sign that said«FREESAMPLES». We entered this cute little joint and were greeted by the guys at the front, there was a little line up but the wait wasn’t long. There is a sign of all the ice cream flavors & pricing and they all looked great. Huckleberry, Peppermint fudge, Sweet Cream, Salted Caramel & Brown Butter, Orange Dark Chocolate, Coffee, Strawberry, S’more, Sweet Basil & Pine Nut Praline, & Wild Flower Honey and Lavender were the flavors listed. On my first visit, I went with one scoop with two flavors — sweet cream and huckleberry in a cup. Alyssa went with huckleberry in a sugar cone. We were both super excited to try the huckleberry as it is the state fruit of Idaho and we saw it everywhere around Sandpoint and it was DELICIOUS!!! There were pieces of huckleberry within the buttercream mix and it was so good. Huckleberries are similar to blueberries but to me, the huckleberry ice cream tasted like a mix of blueberries and grapy flavor, just amazing! We both REALLY enjoyed it so we made sure we were to visit once again before we left. The sweet cream was good too but the huckleberry reigned supreme! On my second visit — I saw one of the guys making the waffle cone so I decided to go with a homemade waffle cone and a scoop of huckleberry! Again, amazingly delicious and it’s the perfect treat for an extremely hot day. Panhandle Cone & Coffee offer handcrafted ice creams, as well as espressos and baked goods! There are a few seats outside if you wanted to enjoy the sun but its nice and cool inside! The scoopers are super friendly! When I visit again, this will be one of my first stops!!! :) HUCKLEBERRYFTW!

Best ice cream in Northern Idaho! We are visiting from Portland and this places rivals Salt & Straw in its unique and creamy homemade flavors! Love it’s large trendy ampersand in the window and the owners of this place are incredible!

Had the pleasure of visiting this place on my last visit to Sandpoint. I did not try the coffee but I definitely tried the cone! They had a whole wall of handmade artisan ice cream creations. From the very decant chocolate varieties to the more eclectic wild honey and lavender, these ice cream concoctions are a true treat. My husband tired the chocolate orange, which he said was fantastic(personally, to me, the combination of chocolate and orange is quite possibly the nastiest thing on the planet, but that’s just me). I really enjoyed the wild honey and lavender, which was sweet and creamy with just a slight hint of lavender so it wasn’t too floral. The prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly and let you try as many of the varieties as you would like. It appears that they also make pastries too but we went there in the evening and all the backed goods were long gone. I would definitely stop in next time I am passing through the area!

Modish new coffee shop & homemade ice cream spot, without the hipster pretense. Perky scoopers & barristas with small-town friendliness make the place extra cheerful. All the ice cream is made in house. I had the Almond Joy: coconut & roasted almonds in a rich, dark chocolate base. To die for. Hubby had the Chocolate Chip Cookie: house-baked chocochip cookies in a creamy vanilla base. Also incredible. The shot-in the-dark was also great, although hard to screw up; I’m always looking to support the local community coffee spots over Starbucks. I am psyched these guys are in town. Stop by.
