Total Air System Kleaning

We wanted to get our ducts sanitized after dealing with a rodent problem. James was one of 3 companies I contacted and not only was his quote the lowest but James is such a trustworthy guy. He is members of NADCA and certified ASCS/​VSMR technicians by NADCA. He did a thorough job — it took over 5 hours. He explained what he was doing and left the place clean. Agree with the other review that says this is not one of those Attic Pros that charge $ 79 to hold a vacuum hose outside the vent. I would highly recommend him.

This company is nothing short of Amazing!!! We had our heating system stop working about 2 weeks before Christmas. Needless to say it was freezing and we have a four year old. My husband tried to troubleshoot it to no avail. We called Beutler out to do an $ 89.00 diagnostic. Huge, Huge mistake. They told us the system was in horrible condition, desperately needed to be cleaned, and that that probably wouldn’t even help. We should replace the entire 11 year old system which would cost a minimum of at least $ 12,000. We then decided to call around and found TASK (Total Air System Kleaning). I spoke with James who arranged to come out and take a look. Come to find out, the ONLY thing wrong with the system was a faulty thermostat. James said we could pick one up at Home Depot starting at about $ 20.00 depending on what we wanted. He even showed us how to change it out. When I asked him what we owed them him, he said, «Nothing, I didn’t do anything.» This company is the real deal! I can not believe I was lucky enough to stumble upon them.

SO satisfied! This is NOT one of those $ 79 services where they just stick a vacuum down the vents. James fully explained everything they would do — including showing me the bottle of biocide (EPA approved). Spotless service. They even washed all the vent covers. Took apart my heater and cleaned it. Went under house to inspect duct work. $ 300 for my 1400 sq ft home was well worth the price. I checked the
website — TASK complies with everything!

After reading up on the scams going on, I was worried and not sure who to trust or what to do, but have to do something for our situation. I went to the EPA website someone posted and I found Total Air System Kleaning. I talked to James who explained the process for the vent cleaning — using negative pressure (also recommended by another vent cleaning my husband called). When I advised him of the «dead animal smell» he commented that it might not be inside the vent and if we would like him to come out to look at it. He did. He checked the vents, the heating units and even looked underneath the house in this wet weather. He also gave us a solution to dilute water and spray the odor area to get rid of the smell as well as offer to come and do another stronger spray if the other solution does not work.
He assesment: the vents look okay and we don’t need it right away unless we have allergies or when we turn on the unit, and there are a lot of dust. The screens could be cleaned with soapy water while they clean the vents when my husband asked about replacement. We find James honest, prompt and personable! My husband and I are very please with his patience in explainging and showing us our system and how it works. We will definitly be calling this company for cleaning.
