This place looks pretty sketch from the outside. Which made me really want to go, just to see what goes down in there. Inside is huge, and crusty. A good place to watch a game in darkness with townies. Kinda depressing, but kinda fun. Service sucked and the Outpost is a prime canditate for Jon Taffer’s Bar Rescue. Bathroom was filthy, food was deep friend and cheap. Can’t say I would never go back tho… it does have that creepy comforting charm of your sad suburban dive.

The neighborhood dive bar… We came here on a Friday evening, since its only one of a few handful of places in San Ramon to grab a drink. The place looks like a bit sketchy from the outside, its not a whole lot better on the inside, but it is pretty big and spacious. Fairly empty for being a Friday eve. There is a bar area, a stage, a dance floor and a pool table. We got a couple of drinks and chilled at the bar. We decided to order some food, but were told the kitchen was closed and the only thing we could get was wing. So i placed an order of wings… terrible decision! The wings took over 30 minutes! Um… yeah…They were terrible! That’s sums our experience for the evening.

Best dive bar in town. Food, service and prices are spot on FORWHATITIS. Great staff, owner often on site, can’t say enough.

had a Burger fries, and pitcher of Model. This is a dive bar I would go back to. Friendly bartenders who offered a traveler good info. Cook/bar back grilled a decided medium burger. seats out front that over look Mt. Diablo that strangely enough no one had visited since childhood.

On the review from Nadia F. After hearing about the review from her and having been there the night security stopped her from being allowed in, I had to place a review up. Yes, you read it right. She got stopped from being let in by security, that means the physical abuse that took place was not happen at the Outpost on 7÷31÷15. After talking with security and a SRPD officer, the altercation took place off of the Outpost property and SRPD was there. She also states that her friend, who is a black female was abused and yet the picture is probably of herself.

I’ve only been here on Tuesdays(twice) for taco tuesdays: $ 5 patron shots and $ 1 cans of Pabst. The tacos are legit; pretty tasty and authentic from the looks of the kitchen staff… and only $ 1 each! They serve fried foods from 10PM-close which is nice if you’re drinking too much patron and need some fries for stomach filler. The music varies on the DJ playing that night. However, the DJ last night made it feel like high school prom in the house. The only thing that bothers me about this place: Why are there so many freaking Bros? I have never seen a bar filled to the rim with so many baseball capped, scruff faced, beer guzzling bros. The beer pong tables must be their main attraction. You know what comes with Bros though? Bro-hos. Caddy, loud-mouthed girls who wear shorts that don’t cater to their cellulite and belly-bulges from all the drinking. This is a big downside to the place, but if you’re shit-faced, you’ll be sure to have an OK time. This is a local sports bar anyways so the crowd is expected.

If I could give this place negative starts, I would. We recently moved to San Ramon and went searching for our local watering hole. This place is not it. Our Bloody Mary’s were too salty. Then, about 3 sips in, we spotted a cockroach on the counter behind the bar. Never going back there. Gross beyond words.

This bar is a Danville/San Ramon institution. The service has not always been great, but they’ve picked up their game in the last 6 months. If you’re in a hurry, just head straight to the bar. The venue has many rooms, some for watching TV(over 10 screens in 1 space) and some for drinking games. Most people hang out near the bar. The food is surprisingly great for a bar. I really enjoy their wet burritos and patty melt sandwiches. 4 stars because they offer happy hour deals on food, but you get happy hour portions. The mains are a standard price at around $ 10. Beers are $ 3 during happy hour and $ 6 otherwise.

Food: this is a rather dark hole in the wall bar/pub. The food is typical bar style –much of it is fried; the wings are mediocre. The Mexican food was a nice surprise, and I recommend it. The happy hour food and drink prices are the best I’ve seen in the area. Service: some of the bartenders seem snobbish –especially the tall blonde. The servers at the tables have always been speedy and accommodating, especially Michelle who took good care of me when I sat outside. Atmosphere: dark and dreary inside; it used to be some sort of casino so it’s very large and has pool tables and other games available. The place has very little curb appeal, but it seems to be a mainstay with several regulars.

Not for non white folks… I recently sat at a table, right in front of the bar, for over a ¼ of an NBA game, and not a single person(bartender or waitress) asked if I’d like anything… They were not that busy, so what was the reason? It must’ve been the color of my skin, because I sure was noticeable. Made me feel like I was in the south… too bad such an establishment is still allowed to exist in this day and age, in this area. Take your business elsewhere !

I used to go to the OP on Tuesdays because it was a cool spot to kick it. And they have awesome tacos for $ 1. My biggest reason for going there was because of DJLP spinning on Taco Tuesdays. He had built up a great, weekly event that had a lot of regulars attending. Unfortunately, this place is under new management and have made changes to their lineup. I understand to make changes if something isn’t working. But I went in on a Tuesday with a group of friends, only to find out that LP is not spinning there anymore. He always made it fun and had the dance floor packed. Their new dj was pretty bad, I felt like I was at high school dance with someone’s older brother playing music off of his ipod. My group of friends left after about a half an hour of seeing that the party was not«going up on a Tuesday», there. It’s too bad, I really enjoyed coming out with friends here on Tuesdays. It looks like we have no reason to return now.

This bar can get extremely packed on weekends and game days, so best to come early if you want to sit. Prices are decent, but their food prices are crazy, CRAZY. Ordered the wings, got 3 wings for $ 9. NOJOKE. Maybe some fell off on their way over, but that’s what it was. They were tasty but no where near worth that price. They have 3 beer pong tables opened to anyone. Many tv screens(35 – 50″). The bartenders are okay, there’s a younger blonde chick who is quite spacey when it comes to getting your order correctly and on time. Even some of the waiters have issues with her. She tends to pay attention to a specific few… Otherwise, an okay sports bar for the nights you want to stay in San Ramon or run into older Cal High alumni and their folks. their drunk folks.

Awesome place for beers with the buds, or after work. A good array of screens for whatever game you want to watch. Excellent service, and good prices. Oh, did I mention the pool table, pong tables, and other activities available? Don’t come here for that fancy dinner, do come to let loose some steam.

All I can say is $ 5 friday drinks. You cannot beat that. The DJ was good. There wasn’t a large crowd but the people were chillax. I love that I can go here without my heels and dance a bit(in comfortable shoes), then hang out at a table and cool down and then go out when a song hits me good. The lady bartender… you’re awesome!!! Not only did she have great suggestions, she made every drink good. And really $ 5. I will definitely be going back to visit. See you there!

I’ve been to this place a handful of times now since it is so close by. They have great drink specials, decent selection of beers on tap and a friendly owner/bartender staff. It completely reminds me of college with the dirty carpets, walls, and falling apart tables/chairs. But that is what makes this place unique and worth coming by to hang out. They have a jd playing on the weekends, a very loyal local group, and a mix of college kids that frequent here. I also appreciate the pool table, dart board and air hockey(if only they would upgrade these items or at least clean them) Don’t come here expecting a high end bar this is a perfect reflection of a dive bar!

Went here on a Thursday I believe, about 2 months ago. All I remember is that I was the only Asian person here. lol. They have a dance floor that was barely being used but the DJ was playing some slappin’ music, wasted on a crowd that was too busy beer-ponging. They have booths surrounding dance floor which I found interesting for a bar to have. They have TV’s in the bar area playing Sportscenter & a sitting area too. The bartenders were busy but you can tell they had it under control. Sorta, a few broken glasses here & there but nothing too bad to complain about. Although it was a bar I guess it was 18+ because they still carded me when I was ordering a drink. Weird. The bathrooms only had 2⁄3 stalls & was really cramped. I’ve been here twice. It’s not my scene but if I was looking for a place on a Thursday night, why not?

My company held a large event here this week so we got the food catered. I’m not quite sure but I believe this is what we had huge trays of to choose from off their catering menu: Tortilla chips and salsa Tortilla chips and guacamole Garden salad Refried beans Steak fajitas Chicken fajitas Everything wasn’t overly amazing but it wasn’t horrible either. The steak was tough but the chicken made up for it because I thought the chicken was pretty good! The rest was okay. The service was good though! We started out in the larger room with rows of chairs for a presentation and then after we emptied the seats and got our food, tables were quickly put together with the chairs around them. Also, people were walking around, taking empty dirty dishes away and clearing the tables while we talked which I liked because I hate just having my dirty plate sit in front of me if I’m going to sit there for a while. Thanks for hosting a great event!
