K 2 Flooring

We got our second floor, wood flooring done by K2. Everything was done well.
So we went ahead and gave our big project of first floor… plus the staircase, we got one sample for the staircase step and went ahead with that too, now we notice all the «custom» work that was done was not done well. This got done in december when we were away, because I have a small kid and a baby, so we did not want them to get exposed to the dust.
We found some visible issues, few of which was resolved, and the rest we were told was because our wall was not straight, our floor is not even, so the flooring will be like it is! We paid the rest of the money we owed in the first week of January.
We have found issues, with the flooring since then and we approached Darold, after waiting for few weeks, we got a call saying, he was taking care of his mother, so we waited for over a month and emailed again in march (no communication from Darold in the meanwhile). We got another call from him saying he will come over with his team on the one week, that we had multiple stuff going on… so we called to set up time for the next week (march 2^nd week), he said he was sick… We have no communication since then!
While waiting for some resolution, I wonder if all the issues that Darold mentioned would hold true if some one wanted to start a new project? I guess I was naïve to think that this company has good customer service and follow up after the work got done and all payment made!

Darold the owner and his assistant were helping me with carpet situation I had at my house. Except being on time nothing else was good about the job. The workmanship was sloppy, charged me $ 100 extra for a similar job if someone else did it and did not provide an invoice of the work. Unprofessional and not reliable as he was unresponsive to my emails and calls. I would NOT recommend K2 for anyone.

Darold (co-​owner of K2) was extremely responsive from day 1 when I requested an estimate. Out of the four different companies, he provided the best price. Once my flooring arrived and adjusted to the temperature of our home, Darold’s team showed up and ready to work. These guys were extremely professional and did an excellent job. They showed up on time everyday and worked their butts off. The attention to details was second to none. Darold dropped by everyday to check in and kept me abreast of everything that was going on. K2 is the company to go with if you need flooring installed. Professional and trustworthy! Thank you Darold and Team!
